I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around color variables in Figma Slides. Here’s my expectation:We have a component library file in Figma Design with colors variables and text-styles (which are also powered or “constructed” by variables). I’d like to create a new slide template for our product/company and would like to have maximum efficiency by just re-using what is already there and connecting the existing variables and text-styles in the Figma Slides feature. But it seems like this is not working?Here’s what’s happening:When I’m adding our component library file under Assets I get the option to pick a color for fills and text and switch to Libraries where my added library styles come up. But instead of linking this variable (such as in Figma Design), Figma Slides seems to create it’s own? So a separate color entity that just takes the values of the variable once, but will never update if I publish library updates.LOL? Why? Am I missing something? Am I holding it wrong? If it i

Hi,I have an updated version of a font which been used in our organization. I have removed the old version and installed the new one, but there is still the old font I see in my shared Figma files. For my personal Figma files I can get the new font by double clicking all textboxes, but not in my organizational shared files. Does anybody know how I can solve this? Could it be related to cache? Or do everyone in the organization need to update the font, if they havn’t yet? There is no shared fonts uploaded to our organization in Figma, it all relates to fonts locally installed.Thanks!

Copying presentation link from SHARE gives me a different link than copying from the PLAY button. The link from the PLAY button leads to a 404 error.  

I’ve been dealing for some time with the quirks of using fonts as icons and Figma’s somewhat temperamental application of component variables, and I figured it was long since time to reach out here and maybe get some thoughts on how to better approach this.Where I’m at now:Currently, we’re using Font Awesome. Possible bug: Currently, when I use the paste and replace option (either via keyboard shortcut of the menu options), instead of the thing I copied replacing the thing I selected, the text of the thing I copied replaces the thing I selected. I need it to work as before, where the entire thing I copied (component, section, frame, etc) replaced the thing I selected. There are a few older posts regarding the copy and paste+replace; however, I believe my experience is novel.

Is there a way to export a Figma screen with the overlay included?I don’t want to just take a screenshot in presentation mode since it doesn’t look very professional.What I usually do is duplicate my screens with the modal and an opaque background, but that ends up wasting time.Thanks in advance for any answers.

Until last night I was working on my project with Figma Make and it was working perfectly — I was extremely happy with the results. Tomorrow I need to deliver a prototype for a client, and today when I opened the project again from my desktop app, the preview doesn’t show at all. Nothing.I refreshed it a thousand times, closed and reopened Figma, opened the project from another computer, then from the browser, and absolutely NOTHING works. I’m desperate. Nothing is visible. I press play and nothing happens. I try to open the link where I had published the first version and NOTHING. It’s broken.What’s going on? From what I see, there are several bugs reported about this. I urgently need help from the Figma support team! Yesterday I upgraded to the professional plan so I could enjoy these features, and today I start the day with a frustration of this magnitude because of such a horrible bug.This is even more serious. My Organization is trying to move increase licenses from 10 to 30+ and move to Organization plan from Pro but I cannot get in touch with Sales Team. Can some one from sales contact [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII] so we can complete the purchase? 

Lately, components have been behaving differently than when they were created. Here's an example. The text does not change color completely when hovering, it is the same text field.I have the feeling it's caused by the text in the link being edited. The components also no longer update correctly once the different text has been inserted. Is there a solution for this?  

Custom stroke setting of instances are reset whenever I change any part of its component. Its really hassle job to set custom stroke of instances on every touch in its component even though it is not about stroke.Custom stroke setting should follow its component value but, currently, it doesn’t follow and just reset after any value change in it’s component.It was not like that in the previous version but recently it keep generating issue about relation between  a component and instances.

The “Find and Replace” function does not work. When I search for a word, all items with that name are displayed, and when I click “Replace,” it says that no results were found that I could replace.

I’ve created a project and connected a custom domain. In the file settings, I’ve made sure to uncheck the “Exclude from search engine results” option.However, after publishing, the noindex meta tag still appears in the site’s head. There are no noindex tags in my code, and I’ve tried several workarounds; adding an index, follow meta tag and injecting a script to modify the DOM, but it seems Figma is inserting the tag automatically.Has anyone encountered this issue or found a reliable workaround?

I have found several bugs while using the conditional logic. when I duplicate a page, all interactions with conditional logic are deleted on the duplicated page. when I copy and paste interactions with conditional logic, they do not work when I navigate to other frames within the conditional logic. The reference to the frames is lost even though they are correctly highlighted on the canvas when selected in the interactions overlay (sorry, a bit difficult to explain). I have to recreate the reference for each statement to make it work. Can anyone confirm the problems with the conditional logic?

I can see the image I added to my designs in my Figma Sites but upon previewing my designs or publishing, the images don’t load 90% of the time. Some images load, some don’t in the same designs. (All images are personal photography). I’ve already restart Figma and cleared cache. HELP! I cant publish a site like this.

hi everybody. I’m trying to add fonts to the web version of Figma, install FigmaAgent, everything is fine. But fonts are not enabled in the panel, the message local fonts are currently not enabled. I tried to turn on WebGL - it didn’t help. My Mac is HighSierra 10.13.6. Chrome Browser

Hi, I am preparing a few prototypes in Figma Make and I’m going to present to stakeholders, but I need to limit the access to the published URL’s because or our company Privacy and Security policies. But even Figma Make file privacy is set to “Only those invited”, for the published URL I cannot control the visibility and this leads to a privacy problem, I don’t want to have this links public , but only private shared within our organization only. Is there a way to configure it? 

Hey Figma community!I’ve been working heavily with a custom plugin I helped develop. It generates components that I then publish to our team library for designers to use. My main frustration is this:Whenever I make updates to those components and push a new version, all instances in other files stay stuck on the old version. Designers have to manually remove and reinsert components—or use "Update All"—and that's error-prone and time-consuming.What I’ve tried so far:Ensured the components are in the correct library and version. Used “Swap Library” in Figma file settings. Asked team members to click “Update all instances” when prompted—but relying on that hasn’t been reliable.What I’d love to know from you all:Is there a smoother way—maybe via Figma plugin API—to push updates so instances refresh automatically?
