Severe 20–30s Lag When Using Cut/Paste on MacBook Pro (M1)

I’m using a MacBook Pro (M1), and for the last two days I’ve been experiencing a severe delay when cutting or pasting objects in Figma. Each action takes around 20–30 seconds to apply. This makes it very difficult to work and breaks my workflow.

This issue is specific to Figma — other apps respond normally.
Please help diagnose what might be causing the slowdown and how to fix it.

Hi there,

We released a fix that should help with this issue. Could you try giving Figma a full refresh and see if things are working again?

Sorry for the disruption this issue caused to your workflow, and thanks so much for flagging!

I am also experiencing the same issue and I am also working on a Mac. When I cut or delete multiple frames at once, it’s causing a 20-30 second lag. This issue started for me on 12/4/25 and it has been happening on the app and desktop version. I have tried clearing my figma cache, restarting the app and removing some files to increase memory storage and nothing has worked. In addition, it seems to happen in some files and not others.

Hello, @Celine_ I also posted about lag and freezing issues, starting last week, likely due to the new update. No replies on that topic. Please update me on a solution once one is available. Thank you
