We’ve had several completely random people outside of our organisation requesting access to view files that they technically should never have known existed. How do they get access to our files? They have not been shared, they are all set to invite-only and only participants inside our organisation should be able to see these files. It’s happened at least 4 times with 4 different external people, all on supposedly locked and private files. These are company confidential files - how is this possible? How do we prevent this from happening?

Is there a way to track changes in slides, so collaborators can see what an editor changes? Does anyone know a way or clever workaround? (Version history is not useful. I looked into branching, and also compare-changes in dev-mode, but those features/functionality aren’t available in Slides. Looking for other ideas, please… Thanks!)

Is there any way that I can get the code from the Code Connect by plugin or API? It seems that I can only copy + paste the code, which limits thing that I can do. Curious if there’s any way the I can get the string from plugin or API. I couldn’t find one from the Docs.

while opening the Figma app on my iphone and trying to scroll to a new screen that has a video in the backgroud - the screen goes black for a couple of seconds. This dosnt happen on the computer, probably somthing to do with downloading the video, although it is not bug at all… please any recomandation on how to fix it ?

Hello, I have designed a landing page in Figma in 4 sizes — 1920x1080, 1366x768, 1024x768 and 360x800. After sending it to our developer I’ve checked ready made landing page online and it looked a bit messy (not how I expected). For example, we have 1920x1080. On m MacBook is 16 inch (1792х1120) page looked different (then what I previewed in Figma — Fit width). Furthermore, website looked messy also on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. For example some info moved to the right side (was aligned to left side). My dev told me that I have to come up with more screen resolution to fix this mess. Is it true or he’s just doing something wrong? Pls tell me) He told me that I need to more sizes — 320, 475, 640, 900, 1200. Looking for your opinion. Thanks!

Hello Today I upgraded my account from free to professional. None of the features changed and all my projects still have " UPGRADE to PRO" after for more files or page limits. Can anyone help?

I have two libraries: one for Brand 1 and one for Brand 2. Everything — such as colors, fonts, corner radius, logos, and component designs — updates correctly when switching between the brands, even for light and dark modes. However, my icons for each brand are not updating. Is there a way to make icons work with variables, or is manual swapping the whole library the only solution?

I dont understand because it’s a “view only seet” not an “editor” XD has it for free ! Corporation won’t want to pay licences for all their devs. Lots of people are more than happy to move from XD to Figma, but if the CodeMode isn’t free, well, that changes everything. Is there a way to turn this around? thanks

Hi everyone, We’ve established a design system in Figma using templates. Our current process involves duplicating templates and then manually adjusting the colors, typography, and other design properties for each project. While this works, we’re looking to streamline the management of design tokens, especially when it comes to colors. For example, when we change the primary color, we want the related color variations (like hover states) to automatically adjust without manually updating each one. At the moment, we’re unsure how to automate this process effectively.

Hey everyone, We have a custom solution that pulls all of our assets from Figma to code. With vectors, there are, of course, no issues. However, with images, we are working on a process to optimize them as best as possible. Does anyone have examples of how they optimized this process on their side? Currently, we are exporting images at @1x, @2x, and @3x sizes, converting them to .webp, and storing them on S3. The quality is okay, but we are trying to achieve the best possible quality while keeping the file sizes as small as possible (if only it were easy). I’d love to get input from the community if anyone has managed to optimize this. Thanks!

One Figma file just keep saying that it has unsynced changes. I did everything but it won’t open. The thing is that I can open the same file using any browser app. I’ve faced this kind of issues with big files, but it opened after a few minutes. Have you faced any issue like this? Were you able to solve it? Note: I’m using Figma Beta

When it comes to updating a branch, it takes a very long time to get the modal, and confirming by clicking “keep branch” takes not just seconds, but almost minutes to get to the next conflict. No matter if I am on my Mac Studio or MacBook Pro in Safari or Figma. It can’t be bandwidth or my machines. It seems to be on Figma’s side.

Using the rest image endpoint, I can get the image of a layer, but in trying to recomposite the layer, do I don’t want the image to include the children within it. Previously I was using the plugin api, and would hide children, export image, then show children. I’d really love if this end point would support this functionally. Thanks!

So I want to have 2 shapes fused together with a line separating them, that line being from one shape, but when I union them both, there is no line separating them and I can’t remove one side of the stroke from the bottom shape. Close to what I want to achieve: What happens when I union:

So he verified again. Is that mean that from now he can use Education plan for 2 years?

Hey everyone! I hope this post finds you all very well! First of all, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to go through this, and here is the thing: I’ve been trying to create a spinner loader from scratch for learning purposes by following different tutorials with little luck; I’ve kept the same names in layering and spun only the circle inside the variants within the component. When after a while neither of these worked I tried with two different community spinner loader files, and again the animation didn’t work on the prototype preview mode I began to think that something might be wrong with my installation of Figma desktop, so I tried on the web browser version of this software and it didn’t work either… My question is: Do you guys know what I might be doing wrong? Or if there is anything I should configure in Figma’s setting in order to see these amazing spinners spin? Looking forward to hearing from you, Alike

I cant give edit access to my mentors

When moving components from one file to another the instances do not update properly. Some of the lower level instances are updated such as toggles and buttons, but the high level flow component still gets the “restore component” option. I got the “move to this file” message when moving over the main component, so it should work should it not?

I’ve been using my variables across different files, but in one file, I can access all three groups of variables and work with them. In another file, I can only see 2 out of the 42 variables I need. Last week, I faced a similar issue where variables didn’t work across different files for 2-5 hours. Now, I’m encountering this problem again. Why did you change your pricing without addressing these bugs? Additionally, on another team account, AI functions aren’t available at all. Figma, are you okay? Please fix these problems before updating your pricing. The main issue isn’t the pricing; it’s that the app doesn’t function properly. I’m lost with this more than half day, because I need updated variables inside another File…
