I am a Master’s student at TU Delft and currently I am doing my UX internship. I applied the student plan but accidentally assigned it to the figma account using my company’s email address. Today I changed my figma account’s email address from my company’s to my school’s, but I didn’t realize that this would revoke my student plan. When I found it out it was already too late. Now when I tried to redeem my student plan using my school’s email address, it just says “Verification Limit Exceeded. We're glad you're enthusiastic, but it looks like you've already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer.”

I would like to know if you guys from Figma could help me redeem my student plan. I am currently still using my company’s email address, but I would like to change it back to my school’s. I will still need to use a lot of the features the student plan offer to do my graduation project, ect., so I would be really grateful if you guys could help me out.

Thx in advance!

Hi @Louis Li,

I understand that your education status was revoked after you updated the verified email address on your Figma account, and that you’re looking for help redeeming the student plan using the correct school email address.

Just as you experienced, as outlined in the “Application process” section of the Figma for Education guide, your education status is tied to the email address you verify with. Updating the email address on your Figma account after verification will revoke your education status.

If you don’t currently have a verified account and are seeing the “Verification Limit Exceeded” message or encounter any issues during verification, please contact SheerID support directly using the form below:

The higher education verification process is managed by SheerID, and unfortunately, Figma isn’t able to review documents or manually confirm individual eligibility.

For other community members who come across this post:
If you realize that you verified using the wrong email address, please complete the form below before updating your Figma account email on your own. We process these requests weekly and will notify you once the change has been completed.

We also recommend reviewing the “Troubleshooting verification” and “Frequently asked questions” sections of the Figma for Education guide if you run into issues, as one of the listed scenarios may apply to your situation.

Thanks,
