Figma has been distant from users lately, and while I understand that they’re expanding their scope, the contact support button has become completely unresponsive. Here’s what happened: I transferred ownership of a file in a project from User A to User B, since B would now be managing it. B then removed A from the sharing settings and restricted access to invited users only. However, A still had access to the file and, assuming it was no longer needed, moved it to the trash. B was shocked to find the file was no longer accessible. When A tried to recover it from their trash, it wasn’t there. B also couldn’t find it in their trash. Now the file is gone — not visible in either A’s or B’s trash, and inaccessible to both. The question is: where is the file now?And I am here is community is because As i mentioned The contact support button doesn’t work.BTW although this ask seems chilled, I am losing my mind on where the file is because i have a deadline to meet.

I just made a loom recording it: 

File from drafts disappeared. The name of the file was “DP2 Campaign” but unfortunately i dont have link to this file anywhere. This file disappeared completely, its not in recents, not in trash, not in projects and not in recently closed tabs, its just gone. I tried everything from the community topics with same problem, but nothing seems to work. Is there a way to recover it since it was very important project file?Thank you!

I attempted to connect Figma Make to our project’s GitHub repository and now I’m permanently stuck with this approval pending status message. My admins already approved the connect request (we verified that), but Make is stuck on pending for approval. There are no option to cancel the request, refresh, create new request or anything else in that matter.How could I possibly recover from this? Permanent approval needed status message 

Hello, i’ve created a simple button, with text, padding and autolayout. I’ve turned it into a component. I now want to make the stroke a property for all the variants, that i can turn on and off with a boolean.However, there is no diamond icon next to the stroke in the right hand panel, so i cannot figure out how to tie it to a prooperty. Is it because the stroke is not a nested item? .

Hi everyone,I created a Figma project about a month ago and even published it. At the time, I was on the student plan. Recently, when I tried to log in, Figma asked me to re-verify my student status. After doing that, I noticed that my project was missing. The published link no longer works either.I’m certain I didn’t delete anything, and I was the only person in the team. I already checked the Trash and it’s not there.Has anyone experienced something similar? How can I recover my project? Also, does anyone know how to contact a real support agent at Figma? I keep getting redirected to their AI chatbot, and I really need to talk to a human about this.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I keep on getting a reminder to head into dev mode to remind admins about an upgrade request. Like all the time. Every 10 or 20 minutes maybe. I don't think I ever made an upgrade request and I'm not part of any group that has admins. I signed up with my work email but I'm the only person at the company who uses Figma. It never happens on my personal account.Are other people receiving this as well? It's very annoying.

J’ai donc décidé de créer des chapitres avec chevrons qui se déplient et montre le contenu au click.Seulement je rencontre un problème : lorsqu’un chapitre est déplié, cela pousse la suite, ce qui est une bonne chose, mais la taille globale ne s’agrandit pas.Objectif : J’aimerai que lorsqu’un élément chapitre se déplie la taille globale de la page ajoute la taille de l’élément déplié.Note : j’ai plusieurs chapitres, donc si tout est déplié, la différence entre la taille globale pliée et dépliée sera importante.Help me please 🙏  

Hello, I’ve recently been experiencing an issue while using Figma Buzz. When I try to create a style (text or color) and I’m typing either the Name or Description, I trigger Figma shortcuts that exit me out of the editing process. For example, if I try to type “Orange” to name a color, the “N” key triggers the “Zoom to next frame” shortcut. I’ve been unable to create the color style titled “Orange.” This also happens when I try to edit a style to fill in the Description. It exits me out of the creating or editing a style popup and loses my progress. Wha’s strange is that it doesn’t happen when I initially open Figma, so I’m wondering if something I’m doing triggers this behavior. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

I’m unable to see the variables icon in any of the fields where they are supposed to appear. Right clicking on the field doesn’t provide the option in the dropdown either. I’m on a pro plan using the latest version of the desktop app.

I’m new to Figma Web Pages and I’m building my first webpage using a free template. Everything works correctly except for one header button that becomes misaligned when I preview the site in the browser. The button shifts to the left only in the Desktop layout. On Tablet and Mobile it appears correctly.If I resize the browser from Tablet back to Desktop, every other element adjusts normally except this button. It seems to “hit a limit” on the left side and won’t move further right, even though it’s centered inside the Figma canvas.I suspect the issue might be related to conflicting layout or constraints between parent frames, but I’m not sure how to diagnose it. I’m attaching screenshots of all relevant layout settings.Does anyone know what could cause a single button to stop aligning correctly only in Desktop view, even when the rest of the layout behaves normally?Thank you in advance! Different position when viewed on browser and when viewed on the webpage preview inside Figma  

Hello,I’ve been using Figma make for a couple of weeks, and I always saw “Attach a design” button. My colleague can see “Import from Figma” in the same dropdown menu in the chat. How can I also switch to “Import from Figma” instead?  

I share this link to inspect the problem:I have a rectangle component in 3 variant:grey purple blackThe rectangle 1st variant after 500ms delay change to 2nd one. And the 2nd after 500ms change back to 1st.Now on click from page 1 that has 1st and 2nd swapping I want to navigate to page 2 with 3rd variant. static.Unfotunately on page 2 I see always 1st and 2nd variant swapping. Help me please, I found this bug on complex prototype but as you can see it is present also on simple one draft. 

Hello community, I’m reaching out to better understand how Figma Make AI handles intellectual property and data ownership. Specifically, I’m curious about whether data input into the tool is considered intellectual property, and what general protections or rights the vendor asserts over that data once it’s sent into their system. Additionally, I’d like to know how ownership is handled for any design proposals generated by the AI, does the user retain full rights, or does the vendor claim any ownership or usage rights over the output?Thanks in advance for any insights into my questions. 

I created these product tiles for an e-commerce site. The left is a full-price item while the right is a discounted item. I’m able to set it so that they maintain their aspect ratio when changing size. However, since the discounted item is technically taller than the full-price one, they don’t grow at the same rate.This is how they look if I say, double the size. You can see the image for the discounted item is taller. How can I set it so that the images maintain the same size as each other? Right now, I have the top layer locked in aspect ratio, with the layers beneath set to “fill” for width/height.

Hello, I have a file with a lot of images and some of them show up normally, but there is a big part of them which I can’t visualize anymore. They are just empty frames which I can select, but the content can not be seen. It looks like a lot of just not loaded filled frames. Why is it and how can I solve it, get back the pictures.

I'm using a "when video ends" trigger in a figma prototype to navigate to the next page. It works fine when I preview only two pages, but when I start the demo from the first page, the "when video ends" trigger fails and navigation to the next page fails. The entire demo has about 30-40 pages and around 20 videos. Could the file size be causing the lag?

Hey folks. I need your help for a very concrete issue.  Here’s the issue, with some context:At my current job, we use the Inter Google Font as the main typeface in our Figma library. Everything was working perfectly until a teammate created a set of Text styles using a local installation of Inter instead of the Google Font version.Once we discovered the issue, we updated all the affected Text styles by switching them back to the Inter Google Font and republished the library. In theory, this should have fully resolved the problem.However, it didn’t.While the Text styles now work correctly inside the library file, they still appear as missing fonts in other Figma files that are connected to the library—even after updating to the latest published version.We continue to get the “Missing font” error, and despite trying multiple fixes, the issue persists. Could you please help us to solve the issue? Thank you!

The design system which I have linked with multiple files is updating things not touched when publishing the kit and affecting the designs. Currently, I am not overriding the updates in my main file but need a solution to fix this issue. 

Hi,We have made several icons, some of them using repeat groups.The icons are grouped in a component as variant.These icons are used in different sizes over different pages in different components, for example a card. Since you can’t resize a repeat group with the drag-tool we used scale (K) to resize the icons to appropriate size.But when using the new component/card and changing the icon, it falls back to resizing the image inside the image component and not keeping the scaling.I have tried different solutions inkluding “Regenerate all instances” and rebuilding the entire component but the problem remains.Have attached an image of a test components.

Hello Figma Support,I accidentally added an extra annual Developer Seat to my workspace. The seat is billed as a 1-year subscription ($144), and the charge has been added to my monthly invoice, scheduled to be billed on December 13.This was not an intentional purchase. Could you please help me with: Canceling the accidental annual Developer Seat. Adjusting or removing the upcoming invoice charge for this seat. If required, I’m happy to pay for the portion of time the seat has already been in use. Thank you, and please let me know if you need any additional information. 

When loading a component instance via the Assets panel, variables like color and font-family are not loaded. When looking at the main component in the component library file, variables are set correct.When a component instance is copied over from the component library file. Variables are working and applied to the component instance correctly.Problem is that when working with slots, you cannot copy component into these slots. This makes it impossible to use my component instances, because they are always missing the variables I assigned to them in the component library.Use-case were variables are not workingUse case were variables are working correctly
