Figma branching seems to be glitching / broken?The problem:Opening a branch from a file the original / main branch is then unresponsive Space bar / hand stope working - when you press space bar, it just opens the Branch Modal Can’t CUT or COPY If on the odd Occassion it does work, it takes forever to CUT Have tried Cut from the Menu’s and not just CMD X Solutions tried and that seem to not solve:Restarting mac  Have tried across files - same issue, so it’s not a corrupt file seemingly 

I’m trying to republish my website via Figma Make, but this errror message keeps showing up, anyone know the reason or could possibly resolve this bug ?

Whenever I try to log in to my Figma account from a different laptop, no email confirmation nor SMS arrives. It happened a few time, so I guess it‘s time to ask for support. Could there be any common issue why this might happen?

So, I‘ve generated 200+ beautiful artworks in a gouache-like style of cities. They look like city postcard drawings. I needed the for my side project.!-->But I figured why not publish them in the Figma community and earn a few bucks, to support my project. Is that legal? Obviously, the illustrations are color-corrected, watermark-removed and modified for consistency, so there‘s a human input by me involved.While reasing the Community resources guidelindes, I didn‘t spot any explicit forbidding of selling such artwork, so hopefully that‘s a green light. But still, I‘d like to ask the Figma community about it. What do you think?

it is not possible to change the font of the text, Windows 11, the latest version of figma, what needs to be done to fix this problem?

I lost two extremely important Files after my last request here which was about the edu-status being available for my Gmail (this is my business related account) instead my student account I requested the edu status to be removed from my Gmail and added to my educational Uni mail. The files are missing on my Gmail account. One was related to my book keeping as freelancer and the other was the design of my new website. I checked deleted but they’re not there. Also I would never ever delete these files myself.Looking forward to help here since I am quite lost doing business without these Files. Thank you. I also remember the filenames :)

I’ve submitted the sales contact form several times over the past three months, but I still haven’t received any reply from Figma. I’m looking to purchase three organization accounts, billed yearly by invoice, and would really appreciate an update.Is there someone from the team who can help or let me know the next steps?

We have a critical ask for Figma's technical support to identify and resolve why there is content loss happening in several files. As we're working on marketing assets, layout content appears to be disappearing as if they were scrubbed from the file entirely. Over the last two days, we've been able to revert to previous versions but as we create more content, our work simply vanishes.

I'm experiencing an issue with the Figma MCP server where annotations are not being recognized by Figma AI. I believe this is related to how annotations are handled within component instances and nested structures. Since our design system follows an atomic design approach and composes components using other components, annotations placed within inner components are not visible to the MCP server. The annotations appear to be hidden when they exist inside component instances, as Figma doesn't expose nested instance annotations unless working with the original master component directly.Please advise if there are plans to enhance the MCP server's ability to access nested component annotations, or if there are recommended ways to add annotations in atomic design systems to ensure they work well with the MCP server.

Hi Figma Support Team, I by mistake deleted a file and then also “permanently deleted” it from trash. It’s extremely unfortunate as it was my mistake completely but it had my years of work and specially in past 2 months I did a lot in the file. Hi everyone, I recently pushed an update to my plugin to fix an issue, but the update hasn’t propagated to all users yet (including one of my own Figma accounts). For example, it works correctly on one account but not on another. I also noticed that it works in the browser version of Figma, but not in the Figma desktop app.How should I handle this? A number of my users are experiencing the same issue, and I’d like to understand the best way to resolve or mitigate it.

Liquid glass effects isn’t working as they should be. When on Present Mode, if you have liquid glass elements and if you have added smart animate transitions liquid glass element turns black for a couple second when you move to next frame and turns back on to normal appearance.Please devs, fix this problemThanks in advance!Here you can see how it looks. 

Hi everyone! I’ve been using Figma for a while and I just realised there’s this new quick toolbar that appeared out of nowhere (the one above the toolbar). Before I can hold Ctrl + double click on an image to rescale it but now with this new quick toolbar it enters crop mode which doesn’t really work for me. Please if there is a way to hide it or at least revert it in case I accidentally hit something? Thanks a lot! 

Sorry if this has been asked and answered but I’m losing my mind at the zoom to selection feature. Any time I left click on an element in my figma page it zooms in making that element the only thing I can see. I’m not using the shortcut and I don’t see anywhere to turn this off in the settings. Is it hardcoded into figma that anytime you click on something the page is forced to full zoom in or am I just bad at figma? 

I’ve been working on a rather simple Figma Make project, but each time I try to update the project, the preview pane freezes and doesn’t play the prototype. I have to close the file and reopen it every time I make an update. The prototype seems to be updating (or so it seems) but it doesnt work unless I reopen the file.Why would this be happening? Am I doing something wrong? 

The latest prompt generated Figma Make websites I’ve tried have built designs that lack necessary padding and come about as very broken looking. This is with the default LLM (likely Claude) and the beta with ChatGPT that can be enabled. 

Whenever I want to proofread text, I have to copy it into a browser or a Grammarly editor, fix it, then paste it back. This is especially painful when working on multiple frames or variants with repeated copy.This back-and-forth slows down the entire product design process.Direct Grammarly support inside Figma would make writing cleaner and faster.

My personal Figma account is free and I'm using it. I need to migrate some projects from my personal Figma to a private, paid Figma account. However, when I copy and paste the free project into my paid project, Figma shows an error: "an invalid image or thumbnail was removed."The email address for the paid project is different. However, I also tested it with the free version using the other email address, and it still gives the same error. I don't know how to solve it; I've tried to understand it, but I need help. What should I do? 90% of the project consists of images, covers, and the like.

how to export your projects from lunacy to figma? copy-paste doesn’t work

I don't know if I'm just being stupid but every time I try and type in a text box I've just. made I can't because the keys card tools activate and its making it impossible to do my project, why are keyboard tools not optional it seems to me that there are many others sharing the frustrations I have and I think sigma need to look into improving the service instead of dismissing its customers. does anyone have any tips on how I can actually type in my text boxes, I have dine what goodle has said and it hasn't worked and I'm at a loss. 

Using Smart Animation on a shape with rounded corners and outline, i get a render glitch, whenever i disable the outline the glitch disperses, i have seen more post about this even very old ones, i wonder when such an essential bug will be fixed? :( 

I had recently applied through my student id. My request was verified by Sheer Id. However, I haven’t received any mail from Figma Team on how to set-up my account and avail the benefits of student id. Does anyone have any idea about how much time is it going to take?

I'm using an educational account, and I'm trying to add a library to my Makefile, but it's not working. I published the library and added it to the same project as the Makefile I'm working on, but it's not working. please help me!!! 

figma.createConnector has always been limited to FigJam.A few years ago, I wrote a workaround plugin that allowed users to quickly clone and relink existing FigJam connectors in Figma.However, it recently started throwing this error:Error: in clone: Cloning CONNECTOR nodes is not supported in the current editorI’m wondering if Figma has changed and restricted their API. Since there’s no last updated date on the API page, I’m not entirely sure. It also seems like there may no longer be any viable workaround :(
