SheerID Student Status Verification Failing

Hello, 

I’ve tried to verify my student status through SheerID, but it does not work properly. Every time I upload something, I get an error that says:


“The document is insufficient for establishing eligibility for this offer.”

I’ve submitted the two documents that they suggested, my transcript and a tuition reciept, with my full name, the school’s name, and the date (current academic year/the current date). My school ID does not contain an expiration date, so I couldn’t do that.

I’m not sure what’s wrong; I’ve emailed SheerID support, and they’ve been unhelpful with a copy-and-paste message that says they can’t help me. 

Here is the email:

After a deeper look into your request, we are sorry to inform you that we are unable to verify your status at this time. Because our system could not validate the information provided—and due to the nature of our verification platform—we are not able to offer further details or manual assistance for this specific request.
 
We realize this isn’t the news you were looking for, and we truly appreciate your time and understanding regarding this final determination.

To better support cases like this, we’ve introduced a dedicated support path specifically for Figma education verifications. Please contact SheerID’s Figma-specific team at figmasupport@sheerid.com so they can review your submission more closely.

When you write in, it may help to include:

  • The email address linked to your Figma account

  • The name of your institution

  • A brief summary of the documents you’ve already submitted

This will help their team locate and review your case more efficiently.

Hi Celyn,

I've already contacted them at that address (and included the information), and they gave the same copy-and-paste response.
