Auto Layout Not Appearing in Design Mode

Question

Screenshot attached, this keeps happening. Where is auto layout? why doesn’t it work in this case? and in dozens of other cases I look everywhere for it, My entire workflow is based around auto layout. What am I missing?

Figma Desktop App version 126.1.2

I’m getting quite sick of it, any fixes or is this a bug?

Hi ​@Alex Sweet, thanks for reaching out!I completely understand your frustration here. Please note thatAuto layout is only supported on frames. You’ll want/need to wrap your elements in a frame in order to see the option for Auto layout.More information is available here:https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/5731482952599-Toggle-on-auto-layout-in-designs
