Something has changed in the persistence of data in Figma Make

I am not sure exactly what has changed, but in the last few weeks Figma Make has felt less like a sandbox that resets completely upon refresh and more like an actual application where things persist – which is often not what you want when using it for prototyping. I’m finding myself having to build ‘reset data’ buttons into prototypes to achieve the same ephemeral effect that used to be the default.

I’m correct in thinking something has changed right? I think there should be controls to choose when localstorage gets purged, what gets cached and when, etc
