Hey folks, I need a little help. I’ve been working in Figma for two years and have never once gotten Smart Animate to. Y’know.Work.At all.So I need a little help. I’ve got all my layers named the same, in the same order. Is there something else I should be looking for?Each instance has its own name because, well, it has to. I did try naming them Step1, Step2, Step3 and that got me nowhere.  Inside each instance: Here are the first three to give a sense for transitions

Looks like in UI3 Figma skipped the ability to save plugins to a separate “folder” in a menu. So I can’t use the keyboard shortcut to launch the plugin when it disappears from the “recently used” list. There used to be an option to save the plugin, but now there isn’t. Do I miss something?

In my app prototype, I’m trying to create a multi-step-flow form which consists of, say, 12 steps - from 1 to 12. I create each step on individual rectangles (grouped all the contents in each rectangle or step) and placed them on the main frame. I then hid all the steps (rectangles) except the 1st step (rectangle). I tried applying the interaction on the next and previous buttons to flow the steps from first to second and on so, and again to work out the previous button. Let me also mention you how did try to apply the interaction; I first selected the next button in the step one and then went to prototype, and clicked on the interactions. Within that I selected the Trigger to be “on tap”, action to be “navigate to”, but when I need to select the destination, it doesn’t show the rectangle related to the step 2. Therefore, I have not been able to create the interaction needed.I’m currently having the free version of figma, and I hope this is not the reason as to

https://streamable.com/u9bio3 I am trying to drag and drop this pie icon outside of the frame onto a canvas.I know how to prototype simple drag and drop-but have never done it where the element is surrounded by other elements like this.Any ideas on how to get it outside of the frame on to the canvas? Thank you!

Video can only be added to files in a paid Education, Professional, and Organization team. Plugins running on files in free Starter teams can edit existing video in a file but not upload video to it. I am trying to import videos to users’ file from PluginAPI. Since it can only be done to paid teams, is there a way to check this gracefully? Or is the only way to check is expecting an error from `createVideoAsync`?

Hi All, In the Figjam UI, if you double click on an arrow, you have the ability to add text to the Connector that stays attached to the Connector. Like this below.  There HAS to be a way to do this via API; we could not find any properties that sounded like it would create the arrow-embedded-text like the screenshot above. Does this feature exist?  Thank you!

I use figma to make an isometric map and I have to duplicate several images to make a background but when I see it in prototype, these black line appear bettween the images’ edges and I don’t know why. How can I fix this? Please help me, thank you all so much.The originalWhen I see it in prototype 

Hello! New to Figma.I’m working on a schedule prototype. I’d want to make it so when the user presses the + , the square will scale vertically with set incerments.So each press would make it larger with let say, 25 pixels.And of course, when pressing - the square will decrease with 25 pixels. 

How to go back to the old version of figma if there was a button "Go back to previous UI" before, but now this button is gone

My files were gone last night and I really need them. They were drafts and my account is a starter in Figma. Now when I enter the link, it shows me this and I am the creator.

I made a component in a file (let’s call it “File A”), and then at some point I think I moved the component (with cut + paste) to my component library file (“File B”). I have since deleted File A (permanently deleted in trash too), as I was only using it as a working file. Now, when I’m wanting to publish the master component from File B, I always see “Publish as copy” next to the component, along with a greyed out “Move to this file” option. The problem: File A no longer exists and this component is not a “copy” of any component. How can I get rid of this prompt? It makes me nervous, as if there’s some ghost component somewhere that I have no control over, and the “Publish as copy” language is confusing. Looking for any help. This feels like a bug - is there any fix?

Sometimes when a flow diagram is getting very complex, the right angles of the default arrow type become distracting to manage. It would be beneficial for me to be able to set the default arrow/edge/connector type to be a straight line instead, so that as I am creating the diagram I can be less worried about the placement of nodes and edges while I am creating the content. There doesn’t seem a way to set defaults, but it would be super valuable. Thanks!

I use the password manager provided to me by my company. Keeper. This is common tool i think. However figma login page does not recognize this manager and does not fill the password from the passord manager. I think this is related to the field name of the password. Somehow Keep does not regcognise this.  Really annoying 

I recently started my Figma journey and learnt about vertical scrolling. I managed to get it to work to scroll down, as in swiping upwards, there will be more information below replacing the information at the top. However, I had an idea that needed the user to be able to scroll up, as in there’s more information above, and said information will replace the information that will be pushed down and out of the screen.  I tried to do it, but the frame didn’t cover the top section of my information, and merely pushed it out of the main frame, so I was wondering if it’s possible or I’m just wasting my time trying. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi, i just wondering. How it is Possible to use Click to Navigate to other frame and wrap it all to just One Frame that showing on Prototype and then When you click it will change the content only. Maybe this Wireframe Flow can help my question. Please kindly check the Picture. Frame “PROTOTYPE” = is the Final the Design that i wanted, the other Frame “FRAME 1, FRAME 2, FRAME 3” that is the Frame that i want to wrap into 1 Frame. But they all navigate into each others.Thanks for any reply!

I downloaded the Mac desktop app and tried to launch Figma,but nothing happened. It just wouldn't open at all.Figma bounces in the dock for a while, then just stops and nothing happens.So I deleted it and reinstalled it, but the same thing happened.I even cleared the caches, but it still doesn't work.What can I do to get Figma to run on my MacBook?

When I want to create a new file in my project the dropdown keeps flickering. I can’t create a new file 

If I go to People and select `New charges since last invoice` it is empty despite owing on this true up. When viewing the people I have no way to determine when they were added. Upgrade reason date appears to be inaccurate as you can click the user’s name to get a window to fly out from the right hand side allowing you to see who migrated the user and when. This information does not match the upgrade information. As a result the `New charges since last invoice` doesn’t quite work as expected. Can you please surface the migrated by and migrated date into the table or update the updated status with that information when they’re upgraded?Thank you,WMD

I am making a dropdown in a website. In my imagination, if user are not sign in, if any action related to account, it will triggering a login notification from within an overlay.but if i apply this interaction, after i click “View Profile”, the notification pop-up and close both overlay (shopping bag overlay and notification overlay). Is there any better ways to perform this effect?  

Before the new UI (which I hate by the way), you could simply click into the width or height boxes and type in the width you wanted it to be. Now it seems the only way is to manually resize each box and then keep it at fixed width? When I click into the box, it just opens the options again. Am I going crazy? How do you manually change this sizing? I just want to be able to type in 176 or whatever!  

One of the most frequent things I do is select multiple layers, and create a component set. It used to be easy as there was an easily accessible menu in the toolbar at the top.But now in the new UI, I can’t find it. I’d expect it to be in that floating toolbar at the bottom (which I don’t like there btw, but that’s a separate issue) but it’s not there. I right-clicked hoping to see it as a context menu but it’s not there. It’s not even in the main menu on top left.Anyone know? 

Basic functionaly is getting flustratinly hard to get in resent software updates.

I’m really not sure why this change to the UI was made but it’s in the way. Is there a way to dock it?
