I have a free Figma a/c, it says I can’t add a Variant (for a dropdown hover button) without a subscription? I added the variables for different buttons but am wondering now if there is anyway to make a dropdown menu with a colour hover using a free plan? I was looking for this add variant icon to add the variant: https://youtu.be/DuJL8t4mymsAlso I cannot now find the way that I produced the Figma pop up that said I needed a plan?

I have been using the Figma MCP server for about a month, but last week I started getting some warnings in Cursor saying that the MCP server is not connecting. I have attached some documentation provided by Cursor when I asked the agent to trouble shoot. I have already tried several times to restart both Figma and Cursor, and have made sure my Figma files have MCPs enabled.

HiWhen attempting to publish a plugin, I was prompted to add two-factor authentication (2fa)After I added it and tried to publish again, I got an error message saying, “We detected a change to your account details. Please contact support@figma.com to proceed”This completely blocks the ability to publish the plugin. I did not receive a reply after sending an email to the specified address

Grey outline has suddenly appeared around all text and picture elements and frames. Some Googling suggests I’ve activated Outline Mode. Unfortunately, none of the shortcuts to switch off Outline Mode are having any effect. Stuck, with grey outlines on everything. Please advise 

so i’m making a project and i want this thing to work (idk how to describe that but image shows everything i guess)

Hey I recently published a component file to Figma make, hoping to try it out, however I cannot seem to find the “component view” (seem attached image fore reference) in Figma make that was showcased during the Schema 2025.Any Ideas how I can access it?thanks :)Schema:My view:

My Mac runs 11.7.10 and can’t update to 12.  I have just updated to the latest version of Figma app which now tells me it won’t run on my Mac. Is there any way I can get back to my previous version or am I now going to be forced to buy a new Mac?  

I haven't used Figma Desktop in a while, and today it prompted me to update. I did, but frustratingly, it didn't provide any updates or improvements (resulting in a version incompatible with my macOS 11 system). It's really frustrating.What I'd like help with is:Since my MBP is too old to update to the required macOS 12 version, could you provide a previous version that is still compatible with macOS 11 for me to download? Could you create a compatibility version that also accommodates older devices like ours? (Thanks)

 I have a specific file open in my desktop app that wont sync!I did a little bit of digging and found out that if i open the last synched version of the file in the browser via figma.com, it will sync what ever changes i make there down to my local version just fine, but it wont sync back up.So, if i draw a rectangle in the online version, it syncs down to my local file, but if i delete that rectangle in the app, i wont sync back up!I did some further investigation by creating a new file and copying elements over from the file that wont sync, one by one, and have identified that once certain designs and elements get copied over, the sync issue starts again!Once those elements have been copied over, the file is corrupt. and the sync issue is permanent. If i delete the elements, the file continues not to sync.Any idea why this is, and how to fix it?

Ive been charged, month after i cancel my plan. So i use a plan for my account which i simply cancel after i thought that is no longer necessary. I did it in December, and today (17.01.2026) my bank account has been charged for some extra 6 euro. I did not give approve to that transaction, and i did not sign any extra docs i think. I want my refund, because your site is not clear at all with those micro transactions.

An amount of $1500 has been charged on my card, i didn't even own a Figma account. I have just signed up one to report this fraudulent activity. Why is my card being charged when i don't use your services?

I’m building a Figma plugin that exports many frames in bulk, and one requirement is to save all exported files directly into a user-selected local folder using only the plugin (no backend).Is this possible with the current Figma Plugin API?

When I use subtract, the resulting shape does not match the original boundaries.See attachments for the before and after. I want to subtract the red shape from the white shape. The final result subtracts additional parts of the white shape. I’m having this issue with multiple vectors.

Hi, when I am aligning multiple shapes in the frame, after selecting all of them, it seems they are stacked on each other instead of aligned as a group. Am I missing something, or it is some Figma issue? What should I do to align them as a group?  

Hey everyone I'm working with Untitled UI (which has 7,000+ components and uses Figma Variables extensively). I want to create a leaner design system file by copying over only the components I need.The problem:When I copy-paste components to a new file, the variable connections break Variables either don't come over, or only a partial set copies (e.g., 68 out of 400+) Components end up with raw hex values instead of variable referencesWhat I've tried:Copy/paste components → variables don't link "Copy variables into this file" prompt → only copies variables that specific component uses, not the full system Copying variables directly → Figma doesn't support copy/paste for variables Publishing as library → fails around 3,000-4,000 items (file has ~7,000)"Just duplicate the file" doesn't solve it:I know I could duplicate the whole file and delete what I don't need. But here's the issue:Say I duplicate Untitled UI, then delete everything except Buttons, and now I have a small file with work

Hello, I made a good faith effort to cancel all subscriptions associated with my Figma account by following Figma’s online instructions and reviewing all available settings. I was unable to find any active subscription to cancel. Believing billing had been stopped, I then deleted the account.Despite this, I was charged $57.23 CAD several days after the account deletion, during a period when I no longer had access to the service and received no benefit from it. I did not authorize this charge and am requesting a refund

Hello, our company wants to try the Code Connect with Figma files but everyone, except for the Admin of our Figma org, has a disabled “Connect to Github” button. See below:We have tried making people Administrators of teams, giving people full design seats, giving people Dev seats, Edit access of teams, etc and nothing works.Has anyone figured out how to enable the Connect to Github button for any of their users? We’d prefer not having to have the Admin setup Github integration and would like our Devs to set it up.Thanks.

Why Figma Make create his own landing page when I attached a design ans ask him to take exactly my design and just animate the page?

The current email address for this account is suspended. As such, I cannot see any response to it. I want to update the email address in order to renew my subscription. I’ve opened a ticket about this 2 days ago (1688824) and provided a different email address to contact me and have yet to see a response. Please help.

Hi. Can somebody help me, please? I saw other persons with similar situations as mine, but from what I read in other replies I guess I need support’s help to generate me a ticket.I have two Figma accounts: this one where I’m writing from, and another I used for a course I already finished. That account had an educational plan active (I guess it’s not active anymore because of the time that has passed since), and was made with an email address that’s now deleted. However, that account contained files I really need to access in the present time, mainly for reference and portfolio reasons.For that account, I had the Log In through Google option active, so passwords aren’t working for me. I already tried the Reset password option, but the password link messsage is getting sent to the deleted email address, so I can’t access that link either.I don’t wanna share private data here, but where can I share with support that email/account details in order to get further help?
