I cannot edit my own file as the owner

i cannot edit my own file and when i get the email to approve the edit it doesn't work even though the email is coming through on my own account please can i get some assistance

 

Also no matter what account i use to view my project it won’t do anything besides view it.

This definitely sounds odd. I completely understand how this must be slowing down your workflow. 

If you own a Figma file but only have view access, the most common causes are being logged into the wrong account or the file being moved into a "view-only" project or team. Can you please check the following?

  • Verify Account: Ensure you are logged into the exact Figma account email address that created the file (Just in case you have multiple accounts.)
  • File Location: If you accidentally created the file in someone else’s project, they may have "view only" permissions set at the project level, which will override your ownership.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have already raised this with support under ticket #1849171 and sent them the file URL, but I am still waiting for a response.

The file is still stuck in view only even though it is my own file, so I am currently blocked from editing it.

Could someone please chase this with the support team or escalate it, as I need access back as soon as possible?
