Crash / freeze when using color picker – version 126.3.12

Hi,

I’m experiencing a major issue since updating to version 126.3.12.

Whenever I use the color picker, Figma completely freezes:

  • UI becomes unresponsive
  • I can’t click anything anymore
  • I have to force quit the app

This happens consistently, making it almost impossible to work efficiently.

What I tried:

  • Restarting Figma
  • Restarting my computer
  • Testing on different files

No improvement so far.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I understand you're running into this freezing issue with the color picker after updating Figma Desktop App v126.3.12.

I haven't been able to replicate this on my end yet since I’m still on 126.2.10, but to help our team investigate, could you please confirm the following?

  • Does this also happen in a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge)?
  • Does the issue still occur if you switch to a different network (like a mobile hotspot)?

Your answers will help us determine the next steps.
