Hi Figma Team🔆When re-ordering variants, I have encountered several suspicious issues:The drag & drop icon is not aligned with the variants.   The list does not scroll up when dragging the item. When dropping, the selected variant is placed in a completely different position than where I released it. When dropping, the selected item turns into another variant, making the list completely untraceable.Can you please fix this issue? Thanks a lot in advance.

We recently updated the font family for our second brand (mode). Everything is working as expected in the design system library file. However, when I navigate to another file that uses that library of components and I switch the variable mode, it doesn’t switch my font (family or style, since they’re named differently), and it will sometimes say my font-family is missing. What am I supposed to do?  

Trying to override images so that the image zooms in on hover, but all it does is show the original image from the hover variant. Any ideas? Tks!!

Hello,I use several profiles on Figma, one dedicated to a work team, the other personal to work on files and make feedback.When the figma file has been opened with one of the two profiles, I can't find any way to swap profiles to leave comments or make changes with the right one.The only solution seems to be to disconnect the account you don't want to use? Which means reconnecting several times a day.Thanks in advance

I’ve been using number variables for font weight and switching to string variables when we have italic weights. If the “Italic” is already selected in the weight/style field, then apply and number variable for a weight change, then italic style remains. I expected the style to switch to normal. Is this the right behavior? I’d like to stay with numbers for weight, but if they don’t override the style I’ll have to reconsider.

All the frames in my prototype, even the ones with fill width or fill height, aren't resizing when I do some action or active "responsive" view in the prototype settings: You can see that the shadow on the box in the middle is resizes correctly, but not the stroke or background. The same issue happens with the table header above and the cards below it. I'm using the macOS app, but I also tried the web version. And I also tried with other files. It's the same thing in all of them.

Hello! I’d like to know how I should arrange the text inside a shape. Before, this option used to workshapeWithText.text.textAlignHorizontal = "CENTER";but now I face the problem: object TextSublayerNode doesn’t have a property called textAlignHorizontalWhat am I missing?Thanks

I think there is an error in dev mode about text-decoration-line. Dev Mode is giving me the property “text-decoration-line: strikethrough;” instead of “text-decoration-line: line-through;” (from MDN https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/text-decoration-line#line-through:~:text=line%20above%20it.-,line%2Dthrough,-Each%20line%20of)

How can you save a custom colour into the colour wheel so that you can reuse it without having to type it in over and over again each time you want to use it?

 What is “1 Dev seat adjustment” and how can i disable it? I choose only 1 full monthly seat

A designer makes designs with styles.I have edit rights at the file.I copy an element with (text) styles within.But I do not get the styles.I would like to get the whole design including the styles.Is the solution that my designer has the professional version.Or do I need to have the professional version as well?After the design is finished, is it possible and easy to return to the free version?For both of us, it is not our job, so we do not need the paid version for more projects.

I used Material Kit version 3 and found that the patterns and styles were linked together.But!As soon as I used Material Team Builder, the variables and patterns were separated.I wanted something to link them together to make it easier to change colors if the client requested a color change mid-project. 

When I generate an embed code from the Figma design view, the embed iframe displays the Figma design correctly, but if I generate a embed code from the branch of the same file, the embed iframe loads a blank page. Prototype embed code from the branch file works correctly, it’s the design embed code that does not work. Is this a bug, or is this not supported?

I submitted my plugin (Figma to React | Figma) for review on Apr 6, 2025. On the window that popped up, it said it should be reviewed within 5-10 business days. However I did not receive an email nor get it approved, and it’s been 16 days. Would like to know how long I should expect to wait. Thanks!

Hey designers!I’m pretty new to both Figma and UI design, and I’ve been struggling a bit. Honestly, it’s hard to explain exactly what I’m stuck on—partly because I don’t even know what the terms are yet! But I’ve noticed that a lot of experienced designers use something called a design system, and it seems super helpful.One thing I’m really curious about is how to name color variables in a design system. For example, I often see things like Blue-50, Blue-100, and so on. What’s the logic behind that kind of naming? How does it work?I’ve watched a bunch of YouTube videos, and many of them recommend using plugins. But I’d really like to understand how to name them myself, the proper way.Is there a standard I should be following? Should I stick to the same naming style all the time? I’d really appreciate any explanations or resources you could share!Thanks so much in advance. I’m finding all of this a bit overwhelming as a beginner, and your help would mean a lot!

I have problems with font weight. Despite having variables defined, it does not work. I applied all the text variables I created to a new text, but when I use a font weight variable, it does not change according to the variable assigned. Please fix it.

Hello,I have a button that has two-color fill and a background blur effect using `background-blend-mode: color-dodge`. See the example Figma draft:   When I copy CSS of this element, the background is exported like `background: linear-gradient(0deg, #383838, #383838), rgba(179, 179, 179, 0.82);`. See codepen example using the exported styles:   The resulting element has no opacity because of the first `linear-gradient`. It seems that the browser only blends the two button backgrounds, whereas Figma blends them together with the page background. How can I export CSS for elements like this so that they look exactly the same as in Figma?Thank you! 

HiI had to changed my email from my personal email address to my university email in order to get the education plan for my university projects but the forum email is not changed and upon entering the forum, it created a second account for me.I also can’t access my main account because the forum uses Figma’s login.If I change my email to my personal email, do I lose access to the education plan? Can you removed the second forum profile (this one) and change the email address of my main account to my university email address so I can regain my access to it?
