Figma prototype not updating when color changes in text

This seems to be a long standing byg in figma prototypes. When we change the color of text, the prototype doesn’t reflect the text color. I have to do a force refresh.

    Hey ​@Sammy_Guergachi , Celine from the Community Support team here, thanks for flagging this!`Just to better understand the issue, does this happen in a specific file or across all files?


    If you're consistently seeing the Prototype preview display the old text color until you manually refresh, I’d recommend submitting a bug report to our Technical Quality team so they can investigate further.
    You can do that via the Support Hub / Click Start a chat / Type "Report a bug"/ select Enter and follow the prompts.
    In the form, include a screen recording, and the URL of your affected file and grant "Can View" access with support-share@figma.com , this allows us to reproduce the issue and investigate.

    In the meantime, here are a couple of workarounds worth trying:

    • Force refresh the prototype, as you've already discovered
    • Use Cmd + R (Mac) or Ctrl + R (Windows) to reload the prototype window after making text color changes
