Getting the “Publishing failed: Please reload the page to publish” error when I try to publish. I’ve gone through the older treads but haven’t found a solutions beside Figma sent out a fix. I’ve tried everything I can think of including the obvious solutions like reloading tab and restarting computer. I’ve tried deleting all new components and even restored earlier versions, from the version history panel, that were previously published. Yet still no luck. My other libraries will publish, but my main library will not. 🙄
As a designer I would like to record my prototype screen or export it as a gif so I can use it in presentations and send quick examples in the team group. It would be great to have the same feature then Principle to record or export the prototype to gif. Does anyone have the same need? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?
Describe the problem your experiencing and how your idea helps solve this When we select a particular template or frame on Figma on the right side it will show all the colours did we used on that frame or template that’s a really good feature, Including that can you people also try to show us what all fonts that we used in that template or frame I felt that could be really great move by Figma if you people show the list of fonts that we used in that frame this going to be a great initiative by FIGMA. I’m really apologetic If that feature already existed in Figma I didn’t know where it was? I explored but I couldn’t find that feature. Add as much context as possible (screenshots, Figma files, mockups, etc.) Ask questions to bring the community into the conversation (e.g. Does anyone else experience this? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this? etc. Does anyone else experience this? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?
Hi, I’m relatively new to Figma and wanted to surface what I consider as frustrating UX in Figma main project navigation.Flow: 1) I am in my Team / Project section and I click on a specific file. 2) Once I’m done with this file (or maybe I entered the wrong file) and need to go back to my files dashboard/project page. Problems: Currenlty the back option is not immediately visible - I have to select the figma logo (in itself this icon in not indicative if the actions we can take). then hit “Back to files”. Potential solutionsI’d suggest the “back” action is VERRY common and should not be hidden in 2 clicks/drill down menu but have a direct link The breadcrums that was present in step 2 disappeared. It would be great to have it as an option to go back to project or directly jump to the Team page if needed. TY
Help me figure out if I’m the problem or if Figma is the problem. The latest issue is that when I try to reorder a variable group via drag and drop, half the time the group I’m dragging ungroups on drop. Half the time it doesn’t. There’s no difference in what I do. See gif. Other problems: When I undo (which is usually because of the above issue), it treats every organizational change I’ve made as a single action. So If I’ve moved around a bunch of variables or groups, it reverts everything with a single undo. Folders randomly open up when I don’t want them opened up. I have a big collection of variables with dozens of groups, and when they all open up on their own, I have to manually close each one to keep myself sane. Groups sometimes suddenly drop to the bottom of the collection when I copy and paste in variables. Almost like the collection is choosing to sort itself by “most recently edited at the bottom” in that moment. Huge pain, especially considering how buggy it is trying to t
We often leave comments with different purposes or to different roles in the company (stakeholder, copy, dev, UX/UI, etc.) It would make it much easier to identify the comments relevant for you if we had the option of color coding or tagging them (and filtering your comments view to only show those relevant to your work). This would especially make large projects easier.
This is great! Thank you very much! Also measurment
It looks like there’s only one input field in the settings to set the language, and there isn’t a button to add multilingual variants. What should I do to create a variant in another language? Or can I handle it another way by directing to different URLs? For example, I want users with their system language set to English to open mydomain.com, and Spanish-speaking users to open mydomain.com/es.
Currently, in prototype the cursor appears to be either ‘pointer’ (for everything) or ‘hand’ (if a click interaction set up on an element). I would like to be able to change this to a text cursor, when hovering over an input field in my proto. Affordance is a very important part of UI so surprised theres no way to do this? Of course can hack it by adding an image of a cursor, but then you end up having that plus the actual cursor on screen & it makes things worse. Should be an easy feature to add and would be very much appreciated!

Can a Figma Buzz template be published without restrictions? We have custom sized assets and tried to publish a template. Even with blank frames it still said Edit restrictions were applied. Using a Figma template doesn’t seem to have this issue. Is this a bug?
Hi, I’m testing out the beta auto layout grid and I’ve come across something peculiar and I was wondering if anyone else came across this issue? Is it possible to put text over a background shape? Auto layout does not like this for some reason, it shifts the shape up or down in the grid. I also tried to apply horizontal auto layout and that does seem to work in terms of sitting above the shape however when I adjust the webpage frame that part isn’t responsive. See attached a few example images. Please let me know if anyone has had the same issue and how they were able to resolve this? Thanks
Hi,In recent 2-3 weeks or so, in figma I am not able to edit the files that are shared by the designer (I was given Edit access), and the panel where I was able to switch between edit and dev mode is now locked with dev mode icon, but I cannot measure distances at all (when try to see the distance between elements on hovering over them, I don't get the measured distance). I've been having this kind of permission issues for quite some while in Figma. Can you assist?
I’m trying to add a video as a background in Figma Sites. The video previews in the fill window (see screenshot) however it does not play when I preview the whole site.
Hello! 🤠 I was very excited to see the addition of Auto Layout Grid today! Having flexibility for both Rows and Columns at the same time is a game changer. That said, I immediately ran into not being able to set a column width to “Hug” within a table, which is a bummer. In the attached video, I want the “Audited By” column to Hug to the longest table cell content. I show both the current solution today, and what I am trying to do with Auto Layout Grid. I can manually adjust the width of the column, I guess, but as you can see, it makes it hard to ensure correct padding without a lot of careful tuning of the width. Anyone have any solutions? Will this be coming as a fast-follow feature? Thank you!
