I am stuck with UI in dark mode and Figma background in light mode making the sections all dark but background ssuper light. It is jarring to say the least.
Maybe I’m missing something (and I know it’s in beta right now so I’ll manage my expectations accordingly), but it doesn’t seem like you can set a min/max on a container with the new grid auto layout option? It seems like such an odd decision to intentionally remove it for no good reason (that I can see) I wanted to ask and see if everyone else is missing this or if it’s just me?

It would be really helpful to be able to use a variable to set a Type Style’s Letter Case (under the Type Settings meatball menu). It could be a String Variable, and the options would be “As entered”, “Uppercase”, “Lowercase”, “Title case”, and “Small caps”. I personally use modes to switch between different brands, and some brand styles require uppercase while others don’t allow it. This suggestion may be a small feature in the grand scheme, but I wonder if others would also find it useful.
I’m not only one who facing the same issue but this getting really frustrated Figma randomly copies elements. The Select tool is buggyabout 20% of the elements can't be selected, even though they're not locked or hidden.
A Fintech Brand Guidelines Template is a pre-designed document or digital guide that outlines how a fintech brand should be presented visually and verbally. It includes rules and standards for logo use, color palettes, typography, tone of voice, image style, iconography, and more. Unlike a generic brand guide, this template is tailored specifically for fintech companies—those operating at the intersection of finance and technology—which often require a blend of trustworthiness, modernity, and innovation in their branding.
Hey everyone! I'm a big fan of Figma and currently using the free version, but I’m looking to upgrade to a paid plan. Before I do, I was wondering — is there any way to get a 50% discount on Figma? Do they offer student, educator, or nonprofit discounts, or maybe any promo codes or coupons available through partners or events? If anyone has experience or tips on how to save on the subscription, I’d really appreciate your help! Thanks in advance 🙏
In Figma, I can create a color variable like Primary/500,but there's no way to create another variable that links to Primary/500 with just a different opacity (e.g., 50%). This becomes a problem when I change the base color — I have to manually update every opacity variation, which is time-consuming and breaks the idea of dynamic design systems. 🔧 Feature Request: Allow opacity to be applied on top of existing variables when creating new ones.
Hi everyone, I'm running into an issue with hover interactions on vector shapes in Figma. Currently, hover states are triggered based on the shape's bounding box, not the actual vector path itself. This is causing problems for me, I'm trying to make a graph interactive, but because of the bounding boxes overlapping, the hover triggers incorrectly. Is there any way to make the hover interaction respect the actual visible vector shape instead of the bounding box? Or is this a known limitation? Any ideas or workarounds would be greatly appreciated! PS I know there already are some topics on this, but they date from more than 1 year ago, maybe something has changed in the meanwhile. Thanks in advance.
I have new user. She is not showing up in my team and billing group, yet I cant add her because I'm told she's already in. Therefore she cant edit og make new files
The insert menu in Sites is empty apart from Embeds. There used to be starter blocks which were helpful for non design folk on the team to whip together wireframes. Are these coming back or is it a bug? For context Were on the enterprise plan. Have tried existing and creting a new site file. Have tried in desktop and browser version of the app.
If I use “ctrl + c” to copy a file from my computer, then select the layer in Figma I want to update and use “ctrl +v” to paste/replace it. The layer will inherit the name of the file on the desktop. So if it’s “IMG_ASD123” the Figma layer changes to be named this instead of what it was labeled in Figma. Is this a recent update? It never used to happen? It’s a bit frustrating as I used to name my layers “Asset (3:4)” or whatnot to indicate to dev what the ratio of the asset was but now I need to keep renaming it everytime I copy/paste a new assets onto the layer. Is there a way to disable this at all? Thanks in advance! 🙂
I am trying out the new MCP server, which is awesome news btw. The first thing I tried to use it for was to pull variables from some design files into my codebases and it doesn’t seem to support modes at all. I can seemingly get almost every other thing out of the file but not the variable modes. Am I missing something? Variables seem to me to be the most obvious thing you want to translate directly from Figma to your codebase.
Hi, Please, I would like to report an issue with Figma and Figjam. I didn’t found anyone else taking about this specifically. What When pasting a frame with component instances from Figma to Figjam, some components get reset to the default state. Details The frame contains component instances and nested components inside, with it’s instances changed. For example, an app UI with the entire header or top navigation as a component, and the buttons inside it are nested components with icons. The icons are reset to default. When I modify the instanced icon to anything else, copy, then paste to Figjam, the icon is retained, I can even change back to the previous icon, and it will paste correctly in Figjam. Apparently, I have to force a change in the instance, and it will be retained. The problem is that there are far too many frames and instances for me to “shake it” and make it work. Without knowing the issue, I don’t know exactly if I can prevent it from happening again. This has been forc
