Research question for anyone doing data-driven design in Figma.No pitch — genuinely trying to map unsolved problems before building anything.Three scenarios I'm curious about:**1. Bulk / multi-row population**If you have a card grid, table, or list with 10+ instances — how do you currently populate them all from a dataset? Do you do it manually, row by row? Have you found a plugin that handles this well? What's still missing?**2. Sensitive data in mockups**Have you ever shared a Figma file and realized it had real customer emails, names, or phone numbers visible? Is that a concern in your workflow, or does it not come up?**3. RTL languages**If your product supports Hebrew, Arabic, or another right-to-left language — how do you handle realistic RTL text data in your prototypes? Is it painful, or have you solved it?Any of these can be answered with "not a problem for me" — that's useful data too.(Disclosing: AI-assisted market research post)

Hey everyone — doing genuine research before building anything. Honest answers appreciated, including "this isn't a problem for me."As token sets grow in Figma Variables, I keep hearing about a few recurring pain points:- Naming inconsistencies across teams (color.brand.primary vs brand-primary vs brandPrimary)- Broken or circular aliases that are hard to spot manually- The same token name having different values across collections with no clear audit trail- No easy way to produce a health report you can share with your team or stakeholdersI'm exploring whether a Figma plugin focused purely on local governance and auditing would solve a real problem — or whether teams have already figured this out.A few specific questions:1. im a beginner on figma and i was tryna create the fade in animation for the web page im making. the animation works as, when user scrolls through the page the elements slowly fade in. n this is supposed to work like in a sequence. ive tried following tutorials and even used ai for help but the results i get were either it wont work or everything wd fade in althogether which isnt what i actually want. so idk how to make it work.

I work for an organization that is considering switching from our current design tool (Sketch) to Figma. However, we’d love to first get a demo of how Ai can be integrated into Figma so we can weigh the efficiency gains vs. time lost switching design platforms. Hello,  I recently submitted my public OAuth app for review, and have included a testing URL and detailed instructions for the team to test with, but I had a fundamental question about testing - if the app is not approved, that means the OAuth flow will only work for my own account (i.e. the same account that submitted the app). For the OAuth flow to work for any other Figma login, the app has to be published in public mode. If that is the case, how will the review team be able to test the app before it is approved? What am I missing here?

We need to amend our subscription package under the Enterprise contract. Hi everyone,I’m currently working on a multi-brand design system in Figma using Variables, and I’ve structured it into three collections:• Primitives• Semantics• ComponentsBoth the Semantics and Components collections use the same set of modes, which represent different brand themes (Brand X, Brand Y, etc.).However, I’m running into a problem:At the moment, there’s no way to tell Figma that the modes in these separate collections are related to each other. Because of that, interaction colors defined in the Semantics collection (for example blue in Brand X and green in Brand Y) can both appear as blue in the Components collection preview.This becomes confusing because when both modes are actually applied to a component, the final rendered result is different from what the Variables preview in Figma suggests.One possible solution I’m considering is merging the Semantics and Components layers into a single collection.The downside is that it becomes less organized, but the advantage is tha

Hi all,My team is trying to connect Figma and GitHub's Cloud Coding Agent (not GitHub's local VSCode coding agent). Our end goal is enabling the cloud coding agent to access Figma MCP tools like  “get_code”/”get_design_context”. Since there's no public plans yet on any direct connection between the two, I have questions about potential alternatives:Are there any plans or current capabilities for Figma MCP to support a PAT or API based authorization? This would be incredibly useful for apps that don't use Oauth like GitHub's Cloud Coding Agent. Or, are there any plans or current capabilities for Figma's Rest API's to access equivalents of the MCP tools like `get_design_context`?So far, we've built our own intermediary (https://github.com/bitovi/ai-coding-agent) that handles the OAuth between Figma's MCP & GitHub's Cloud Coding Agent, and a proxy-wrapper alternative (https://github.com/bitovi/figma-mcp-proxy ), but we’re still looking to improve them and for generally better-supporte

Is there a way to remove libraries on project/ team level which was enabled on organization-wide level by admin? Without need of organization admin.I can't see these libraries in admin panel as a workspace admin, neither in Team or Project settings. Users can manually remove these libraries in each file, but we have whole teams working with specific local libraries

I’m designing a website in Figma, and my design is built with Auto Layout. I’ve now switched to present mode to test my prototype. However, elements look different in present mode than they do in the design. The layout looks broken in the preview. But in the design, everything is working as it should, including the responsibilities. Do you have any idea? Design:Present / Preview  

I started experiencing the issue this week. I’m reviewing a design I made previously using slots and components we have since forever. The horizontal size of the table cells are setting to random values even after fixing it manually. I manually set the cell size but after a while it sets to something completely random. I experienced something similar before, but the instances go back to normal after clicking on them, this issue is not solved by just clicking on them. I’m I doing something wrong? does anybody experience the same?   

Hey everyone! I have a question about component variant switching and text strings. I’m trying to build a link sidebar, I made component variants for it (title, subtitle, active subtitle). When I use this components in my design and fill in appropriate link names, then switch a single link to an active variant, it switched the text to component’s text, not the one I entered.How can I go about it to prevent it from switching?Creative text variables is not really viable because that’d be a lot and not useful imo. Here is the example:BeforeAfter:

Hello all,I am creating a scroll story. I currently have my main landing page and on it has mobile version or desktop version. Ideally, I would love for the user to click on desktop and it navigates to the desktop version (1440x1024) or if they choose their mobile, then it navigates to a mobile version (440x956). Is it possible to have it all laid out and consolidated in one project? 

Do anyone has the same thoughts on this?

 I’m hoping someone can clarify this for me. I used to copy objects from Adobe Illustrator with Cmd +C and paste them into Figma with Cmd +V, and they would arrive as editable vectors. I’m absolutely certain this worked before. Lately, though, every paste comes in as a flattened image instead of vectors. Nothing in my workflow has changed, so I’m starting to wonder if I’m losing my mind! Has Figma (or Illustrator) changed something recently? Is there a setting or workaround I’m missing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I ran out of AI credits in Figma while working on my website and now I can’t continue using the AI features. Is there any way to keep editing the project without them, or switch back to normal editing mode? Also, do credits reset or can they be topped up somehow? Thanks!
