Thank you for your post, and apologies for replying in English - I don’t speak Korean.

You are correct that you should deploy the function within Make rather than in Supabase, so you should remove it from Supabase. After doing that, can you try the following?

  • Go to Make settings > Supabase
  • Click "Deploy"

Once you’ve done both and assuming you don’t get any errors, publish the app again and try writing a post. If it still doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll create a ticket with our customer support team for you.

Hi Adam,

(Just a note: I don't speak English well, so I'm using Claude AI to help translate this message.)

Thanks for the reply! I did exactly what you suggested:

  1. Deleted the server function from the Supabase dashboard (the one I had created manually there).
  2. Went to Make settings → Supabase → clicked "Deploy".

But I got the same result as before — it says there is no code to deploy ("no code/changes to deploy"), and the Edge Function doesn't actually get deployed to Supabase.

To give more context: my AI chat in Figma Make has told me multiple times that it finished writing/updating the backend code and that "Edge Function deployment" is the next step, but every time I click Deploy in Make settings, it shows the same "nothing to deploy" message instead of actually pushing the code.

Could this mean the Edge Function code isn't actually being saved on Figma Make's side, even though the AI says it made the changes? Is there a way to check whether the backend code Figma Make generated is actually being tracked/synced for deployment? Would really appreciate a support ticket if this is a known issue — thank you!

Ok, thanks for trying that, @리포브나 해협에서 온 라가머핀 ! It sounds like that might be happening, but it’s hard to know for sure. You can look at the code of your app, but I’m not sure that this will include your Supabase function. If you want to check, click on the </> icon at the top left of the app preview. Having said that, I created a ticket for you with our Technical Quality team - I recommend replying to the email with a link to your Figma Make file (be sure to share it with support-share@figma.com - this won’t affect your billing). Thanks for your patience!
