Sometimes when I am working on a specific frame I accidentally click the Figma make sparkle icon and it brings up the chat as a popup and there is no way to click out of this unless you click out of the frame (it is extremely difficult because I use sections to group my frames)

What do you think about having a horizontal scroll on the layers panel? I can’t see the name of the layers and usually widen the panel to be able to see, but since I use a 13", this makes the canvas smaller.

Hi Figma Team,I am a UI/UX designer based in Chongqing, China, and a dedicated Figma user. I am writing to share some feedback regarding the component workflow, specifically concerning icon replacement. The Current Challenge:For example, when I create a button component containing an icon, replacing that icon requires me to first set up an entire icon library, and then swap the instance from that library. While functional, this process adds unnecessary friction and steps to a very common task.My Suggestion:I suggest keeping the existing swap method, but adding an alternative: allowing users to directly paste an external SVG (e.g., from the clipboard) into a component instance to replace the icon. This would significantly streamline the workflow and save designers valuable time.I believe this improvement would greatly enhance the user experience for many designers. I’d be happy to provide more context or a quick screen recording if needed. Thank you for your time and for continuously imp

I’ve got our company’s internal design system packages published into our private NPM registry. But in doing so, I found (after I published) I needed to modify the packages for consumption by figma make. Figma’s NPM private registry would not allow me to unpublish or overwrite the package versions once I published them. This is causing a problem in Figma Make because users are able to select old, incorrect versions of the packages when installing. I want to prevent this by being able to unpublish or delete packages from the registry, but I’m unable to do it.We are experimenting with the best way to handle this for figma make that is easiest for our figma users--and would like to be able to hit a hard reset at some point as we may completely change strategies. Right now, we have 50 or so unbundled packages in figma make. In the future, we may want to bundle those into a single versioned package for easier consumption. To summarize, here is a list of figma make NPM registry-related feature

Adobe Fonts and SandollCloud fonts suddenly stopped appearing in Figma on Windows. The issue started today. Everything was working normally until yesterday.Current behavior:Adobe Fonts are visible and usable in Microsoft PowerPoint, but completely missing in Figma. SandollCloud fonts are visible and usable in Microsoft PowerPoint, but completely missing in Figma. Manually installed TTF/OTF fonts are detected normally in Figma. The issue occurs in:Figma Desktop Figma Web Figma Desktop BetaI have already tried:Restarting Figma Restarting FigmaAgent Confirming that FigmaAgent is running Clearing the Figma cache Testing Figma Desktop Beta Testing Figma Web Restarting WindowsSince manually installed TTF/OTF fonts are still detected correctly, local font detection itself appears to be working. The problem seems to specifically affect fonts activated through font-sync services such as Adobe Fonts and SandollCloud. The same fonts are working normally in Microsoft PowerPoint, so they appear to be

I ran into a font issue while working with MCP use_figma and wanted to share it here. I have a font installed on my system (Pretendard) that works perfectly fine in the Figma UI — it shows up as "Installed by you" in the font picker. However, it's completely invisible to the Plugin API when running through MCP use_figma. listAvailableFontsAsync() returns around 7,600 fonts, but none of them are locally installed ones. It seems to only return Google Fonts.loadFontAsync() also fails, and trying to appendChild a component instance that contains text using the font throws a font load error — even into a non-auto-layout frame. Steps to Reproduce 1. Install a local font on your system (I tried both ~/Library/Fonts/ and /Library/Fonts/ on macOS) 2. Confirm the font shows up normally in the Figma UI 3. Run the following via MCP use_figma: const fonts = await figma.listAvailableFontsAsync(); const result = fonts.filter(f => f.fontName.family === "Pretendard"); return result.length; // 0 awa

Hi,The addition of annotations and measurements to Design mode is such a great decision. However this is rendered almost useless if the annotations and measurements can’t be made visible to View Seat users.Often annotations are used for communication with a range of stakeholders, not just designers and developers. It’s not viable to upgrade every stakeholder to a Full or Dev seat to engage with this content.

It seems there is no plugin API feature for changing the order of component variants. There is some plugin that does it, but I was not able to find the trick how it is done. Can someone help with this? Manual sorting of 100+ options is a disaster.

Reference image attached: A shape, a frame and an auto-layout frame.Same style applied to all three objects, but the auto-layout frame behaves differently: the inner shadow effect overlays on top of the stroke. (I have tried using Outside-stroke as well, doesn’t change anything.)

Hi,I am trying to reorder collections so I don’t see the primitives I never use directly each time I want to map a variable. Is there a way currently to reorder them? From what I see, this was once an option has been removed

Hi everyone! 😊 I'm currently studying UX Design and recently applied for my first UX/Product Design role in the gaming industry. One of the application challenges was to create a poster introducing myself and showing what I bring to the table. I designed the poster from scratch in Figma and went for a mix of editorial/magazine design and gaming UI, since gaming is a huge part of what originally made me interested in creating digital experiences. The character image was created with AI based on my Fortnite character, but I designed the rest of the poster myself in Figma, including the layout, typography, hierarchy, UI elements, graphics, and overall composition. This was also a little outside my usual UX work, and I ended up having WAY too much fun making it. 😂 I'd really love feedback from other designers! What catches your eye first? Does the visual hierarchy work? Is there anything you would have approached differently? I'm still building my portfolio and learning, so I'm especiall

Seems you can only add numbers or strings to text layers. It would be great if you could output a color value as text. It’d be really useful for setting up a style guide template that can be updated to different themes.

Right now, it's impossible to left-align stacked text layers with different font sizes inside Auto Layout.Because Figma aligns to the text bounding box instead of the actual glyph bounds, font sidebearings create an awkward visual gap. For instance, if you place a heading above some body, the stem of the headline won't line up with the left margin of the body text. It works for letters like T and A, but not for letters with a flat vertical stem like L and B. See attached screenshot below. You can't manually nudge text layers inside Auto Layout. Negative padding shifts the whole container, not individual layers. Community plugins like “Text Visual Alignment” don’t work with auto layout.Suggested solution:Add horizontal trim to type settings (right next to vertical trim) that crops the sidebearings to the outer edge of the glyph bounds. This would be a massive improvement to type in Figma!

On September 18 I purchased a single annual Collab seat for $50.40. On September 22 I inadvertently self-upgraded to a Full seat while attempting to access AI features. An upcoming billing adjustment of $210.07 was generated. The invoice is still upcoming and has not yet been charged. Can this upgrade be reversed and the billing adjustment removed?

I've uploaded three fonts -- Galano Grotesque SemiBold, Medium, and Regular to my shared team-admin font uploads, but team members aren't able to use them without uploading the same fonts locally. What is the issue here and how do we resolve?

Hi Figma Team,I need help regarding a Figma file that is no longer accessible from my account. I’d like to understand whether the file may be recoverable. The file was associated with my Education account, and I can provide the relevant file URL, account details, screenshots, and other information privately for verification.Since some of these details are sensitive, I would prefer not to share them publicly. Could someone from the Figma Support team please advise me on the appropriate private channel or next steps?Thank you for your help.

I am writing to request a manual review for the Figma Education plan. I am a teacher at Sundarammal School in India, but the automated verification system is blocking my application. My school does not provide official email addresses or custom domains to its teaching staff. Consequently, I must register using my personal email address: [redacted by moderator to remove personal information].To verify my active status, I have attached a clear photograph of my official, physical School ID Card for the current 2026–2027 academic year. It displays my full professional name, Arun Krishnan R, along with the institutional stamp. Please manually review my attached credentials so I can unlock Figma Professional features for my classroom setup.Thank you for your time and assistance.Best regards,Arun Krishnan R[attachment redacted by moderator to remove personal information]

It has now been almost 72 hours, and I  can not get any support from Figma on an issue with my make account.   I am on the Professional plan, and currently have 4 published items and 3 connected domains.  I wanted to update our site on Friday with a version that I duplicated and updated, so I needed to reset the domain attributes. Well… I got an error that said “This plan has reached the maximum number of allowed domains”.  Thinking that the easiest way to guarantee this was to take down the current site and swap in the new one…. I took down the “current” site, and that immediately threw up the same error.  I logged a ticket and received the email 70 hours ago…. and NOTHING.  Is there anything I can do?

When i use figma on web at tablet breakpoint on Safari in iPad  the left side panel’s nav item text color are blue, this is also inconsistently rendered on the UI. Not impacting usability but reporting just in case

Hi team,We've been with Figma for many years and truly value the partnership, so we're hoping you can help us get this sorted quickly.  We have sent 3 other tickets this last week attempting to resolve this with no response.  Our account is currently locked for non-payment, and we have an issue with the invoice. There is an added charge of $120 for 10,000 AI credits that we never signed up for and haven't used. We'd like that removed before we settle up.Here's what we're asking:1. Please remove the $120 AI credits charge, since it wasn't something we opted into or used.  Please remove for the future as well.  2. Please unlock our account today so our team can keep working.3. If possible, we'd appreciate a short grace period (about a week) to submit the corrected payment. We can have it resolved later this week, and no later than next Wednesday. As soon as that AI credits charge is off the invoice, we're ready to pay soon.  We'd appreciate a reply today so we can close this out together.

Hello, some feedback from my side regarding Folders, I like the options of a nestable folder, but I find it hard to navigate to the files I’m looking for. The folders are named, but the file thumbnails that were visible with Projects were a huge readability feature that I’m really missing now.I was searching for it in settings, but couldn’t find a way to set it. I actually added a description to a folder, but did not actually see not one place that the description was shown? This part is especially confusing. If I could make an improvement suggestion to a current implementation it would be to have a setting to show or not to show some folder contents thumbnails, similar to the previous implementation.Fingers crossed this can be done!
