Urgent: Need Help Recovering an Inaccessible Figma File | Education Account

Hi Figma Team,

I need help regarding a Figma file that is no longer accessible from my account. I’d like to understand whether the file may be recoverable.

The file was associated with my Education account, and I can provide the relevant file URL, account details, screenshots, and other information privately for verification.

Since some of these details are sensitive, I would prefer not to share them publicly. Could someone from the Figma Support team please advise me on the appropriate private channel or next steps?

I see that you’ve communicated here with two community profiles -- the one registered under your educational email, and the other under your personal email address.

A couple of things I want to verify to cover all bases:

For the file in question -- you are trying to access/open the file (the one that is associated with your education account/team) from the account registered under your personal email address, correct?

If so, you won’t be able to do this. You'll want to transfer your files to your preferred account. There are a few methods you can use to move your files to different projects and teams. For a full guide on this, please check out our Help Center: Move files and Move a project.

Are you not able to access your school email anymore, so you can’t transfer the file?

Feel free to PM me the link to the file. I can look into this a bit more.
