Ability to output a color variable's value in a text layer

Seems you can only add numbers or strings to text layers. It would be great if you could output a color value as text. It’d be really useful for setting up a style guide template that can be updated to different themes.

Same case here, some plugins make a good attempt but the sync between interconnected variables isn’t smooth and that matters to me, would love this addition

I’d like to bump this. I have a very similar use case of providing component definitions with colour variables in light + dark mode variants.

Currently, the only duplicates I have to make are for the text values for the colours, even if I create string variables for each it still allows for regression in the values if I forgot to change both the colour and the text description simultaneously. 

This change could resolve all that, essentially having the ability to “Extract a colour as text”.

+1 here too. Google search brought me here.

Would definitely help a lot with Style Guides/Design Libraries especially if you have a load of colours and want to utilise different color themes (light vs dark mode etc)
