As a designer I would like to record my prototype screen or export it as a gif so I can use it in presentations and send quick examples in the team group. It would be great to have the same feature then Principle to record or export the prototype to gif. Does anyone have the same need? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?

I recently ran into an issue with file permissions after organizing my workspace, and I need help finding a solution. The issue: Previously, all my files were accessible to my entire team with "Can edit" permissions. After organizing these files into folders/projects last week, multiple files automatically changed their sharing status to "Invited to the file", causing team members to lose their expected access. The blockers: No bulk permission editing: There is no way to select multiple files at once and update their sharing settings in batch. Permissions do not cascade: Updating the sharing permissions at the parent folder/project level does not apply to or override the individual permissions of the files inside. Having to manually open and update the share modal for dozens of individual files is not feasible. Is there a way to force files to inherit folder-level permissions, or any workaround to reset permissions in bulk?Thank you!

Hi everyone 👋I recently released TextFit for Figma Buzz.I built it around a problem I kept seeing in Buzz workflows: you create a branded template, then use Bulk Create, localization, or simply change the copy — and suddenly some headlines no longer fit the original layout.TextFit lets you:Freeze the original text areas so longer copy doesn’t push the layout Scan one asset, a selection, or all assets for text overflow Fix overflowing text automatically by reducing the font size until it fits Set a minimum font size Revert TextFit’s typography changes if neededA typical workflow is:Freeze → Bulk Create / localize / change copy → Scan → Fix  It’s particularly useful when generating lots of campaign variants or translating assets into languages where the copy becomes longer. You can try every feature free for 7 days. After that, it’s a $7 one-time purchase:https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1685810922519235112/textfit-for-figma-buzzI’m the developer and it’s very new, so I’d especiall

macOS 26.6.2 (25G83) Figma desktop 126.9.10 Two macOS user accounts logged in at the same time (fast user switching)Problem:FigmaAgent listens on a single machine-wide port, 127.0.0.1:44950, which is shared by all user accounts on the Mac. When two macOS users are logged in, whichever account starts FigmaAgent first gets the port. Figma in the other account then connects to that agent and sees the first user's fonts instead of its own. The second user's locally installed fonts don't appear in Figma. To reproduce:Log in as user A and open Figma, which starts A's agent. Without logging A out, switch to user B. In B's account, install a font in ~/Library/Fonts and open Figma. The font is missing from Figma, although other macOS apps such as TextEdit can use it.If FigmaAgent is configured to open at login for both users, then simply logging in with user A and switching to user B creates the problem.Running the below in user B’s terminal lists user A’s fonts:curl -s -H "Origin: https://www.f

I built this Figma plugin to check app icons at small sizes and catch clipping before handoff. The free features provide platform-sized frames and mask previews. The full version is $5 once and adds 64, 40 and 24 px previews, masks on the canvas, clipping checks, a handoff fix list, and unlimited frames.https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1683316299414206723

Every time the content of the red block appears, I have to deduct the points again😭😭

When I am bulk creating my components, I found out that the auto layout did not automatically adjust according to the content. I double checked my original design and tried to adjust the content in my orginal design, eveything works fine.

My team has encountered some issues working with non-designers that would be really helpful to fix if Slides and Buzz had a few more features they could access. Listing below the features that I think should exist in both Design mode and Slides/Buzz mode: Layers Panel Our users have trouble navigating auto layouts we create, especially when there are multiple nested within each other or within a group. Having access to the layers panel to select, remove, duplicate or lock/unlock objects would be really helpful for them If there was a way for designers to lock objects with certain permissions (i.e. can change the text but can’t change the X,Y positions, can move the object but can’t resize it, can unlock some objects but not others), that would help us maintain design control while still providing flexibility for non-designers Position/Layout Settings Users in Slides/Buzz mode don’t have a way to manually set Width, Height or Rotation controls. Given that these controls are availabl

I have noticed that when I am on longer sessions in Figma Make, the chat window content will blink/flicker after it completes it’s response.  This often blinks a dozen times or so and I cannot read the output until it is done.  It appears this may have something to do with the length of the session as the issue gets worse over time and goes away if I start a fresh chat.

Hi there, I’m troubleshooting building a suite of evergreen ad campaign assets in Buzz. The only things that should ever need to change are the copy for my offer and the brand logo featured. As I poured over the assets from a prebuilt library, I’m noticing that some of the title copy (that will never need to be edited) has differentiated itself in the bulk edit spreadsheet, in spite of being identical to its siblings.  The right-hand column “flash offer” randoms should be living in the column to the left.It doesn’t look like there’s a way for me to brute-force this by pasting them into the proper column. What could I have done wrong to make them separate like this, and how can I avoid it as I try to build this suite for my team? There are quite a few assets with this issue and I’d like to fix it entirely rather than just hide both columns. TIA

HiI am creating this separate topic as a follow-up to this existing thread, as I am experiencing the exact same issue and wanted to share some technical findings. When exporting animations to MP4 from the Figma Desktop app on macOS, an animation that exported perfectly a few weeks ago now renders drastically darker, despite using the exact same project and export settings.I compared the media files in VLC and found a clear change in the underlying color matrix used by the encoder:Old (Correct) Render: Encoded using ITU-R BT.601 New (Bugged) Render: Encoded using ITU-R BT.709I'm attaching screenshots comparing the original canvas, the old vs. new renders, and the VLC codec data to help illustrate this.Hope this helps the engineering team pinpoint the exact regression!

hey, team! when reviewing the “Update from main file” overlay, every Slot updated is shown blank, without its content.

We just wrapped the big announcements at Config, and we know there’s a lot to take in.This thread is your space to share reactions, ask questions, and let us know what you're excited about (or still curious about) with regard to Figma Buzz. Our team will be actively reading and sharing relevant takeaways with the product team.  What we’d love to hear from you:What aspects are you most excited about — and why?  File-level permissions within shared foldersThe new nested folder structure is great, but there’s a massive (& massively frustrating) permissions gap: it seems file permissions can’t be more restrictive than the permissions inherited from the parent folder. Our team has edit access to a shared folder, so every file within that folder is editable by the entire team and ppl can add folders & files as needed. There’s currently no way to make an individual file view-only without moving it outside of the shared folder structure. This is a critical use case for master files, templates, brand guidelines & other source-of-truth files. These need to live alongside working files and be accessible to the broader team, but should be protected from accidental edits. It’s essential to support file-level permission overrides that can restrict access below the parent folder level to a nested folder or individual file (Folder = Edit access → File = View-only)Being able to share a folder broad

I am trying to create a workflow for bulk changing sub-headlines, and resizing for marketing creatives. I am unable to generate an editable content/image bank despite naming the fields correctly and also locking the layers that should not be subjected to an edit once a spreadsheet is uploaded with the sub-headline variations. Need some guidance on this front.

Hi! Posting to see if there are there any plans to let Buzz Mode users do the following:Change their workspace background color from the default light grey We’ve made some editable assets that need to have white text, so it’s pretty hard for people to read white on the light grey background. Edit text sizes We have many use cases where we’d like to let marketers manually adjust text to approved sizes by themselves without having to be involved each time their text flows outside the text box and disappears.

As editor and maybe also as viewer I want to be able to see where specific components are used. So I’m basically talking about way to find instances of a component across files. There’s a plugin called “Instance Finder” but unfortunately it’s just working within one file not across. For huge design systems with multiple files and different designers working on it this is far from ideal. This idea is not new but since the other topics are closed I guess I need to open a new thread. See: Searching for component instance in a view-only file Ask the community I am a manager of the design system library in my org and I am trying to find instances of components in other designer files via the Org Libraries options, to see how components are being used. Clicking on a component takes me to the design file, but it doesn’t link to the frame where the component is used, which is what I would expect (even if it’s used in multiple instances, I would want to see at least o

I really need adaptive font sizing for text inside fixed-size text boxes, especially for Buzz. Here’s the use case:We create a creative for social media. We then create multiple sizes of that creative using auto-layout, constraints, etc. After that, we generate Bulk Create versions in different languages. The challenge is that text length varies significantly between languages - for example, French is often much longer, while Japanese can be much more compact. It would be incredibly helpful if the font size could automatically adapt to fit the fixed text box, similar to how text behaves in PowerPoint or Keynote. This feature would save a huge amount of time and effort, especially when working with multi-language creatives at scale. I believe many teams would benefit from this. Thanks in advance — really looking forward to this improvement. 🙂

Hi there, I’m a high school student who has been developing and designing software for almost 6 years now. Here is the issue, I have tried to register for the education plan with my xxxxxxxxxx@csspo.ca school email address, the domain is supposed to be something like csspo.gouv.qc.ca or smth like that but for some reason this year “csspo.ca” is the domain the school has given us (which doesn’t get recognized as a valid education domain name).I have used Figma Education in the past and honestly it has been a hastle since the recent changes to the verification system.I have emailed Figma’s support team several times now with no reply, and I really hope to get help this time.Thank you in advance,

I lost a key edit to a file, undo wouldn’t recover it. I found it in the version history.Hard to find Couldn’t restore the edit. I found it, but I couldn’t copy and paste it. I hit recover, but it would glitch up and go back to the other edit when I closed it.End result, I had to finish a rush item by cropping a screenshot, not by restoring it in Figma, even though I could see the edit I wanted to restore and tried for 15 minutes.Serious concerns about stability of product after seeing this.

I would love to be able to change the default fill / stroke color / and corner rounding of sections within Figma. I find myself spending a lot of time adjusting sections after initial creation to the way I like them throughout my files.

ngl, the new ui3 is pretty good. the only thing i dont like is the toolbar position. im still not used to it. maybe add an option to move it to the top?

Hi everyone. I built Slimline because Figma's export has no WebP or AVIF option, and the compression plugins I tried put export behind a subscription. What it does:Exports WebP, AVIF, JPG, or PNG from any selected layers Keeps each file under a size you set Shows a before and after preview at 100% Runs on your computer, with no account and no server It's free: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1685398335415882876/slimline I'd value feedback from anyone who exports images for the web. What's missing for your workflow?

Motion becomes more reusable, expressive, and portable this release, giving teams a faster path from first keyframe to polished, handoff-ready animations. Save the patterns you use most and carry them across files without rebuilding the same animations by hand. Stay in Figma to layer audio onto your keyframes, create text animations, or export supported animations as Lottie.
Custom animation styles make motion repeatable.Save an animation style with custom easing, duration, and other variable-backed properties, and apply it across your designs Combine styles into richer animations saved and reused as a single pattern Publish animation styles to your libraries so every file draws from the same sets Apply animation styles automatically with Figma agent and coding agents via MCP or SkillsAudio joins the timeline.Drag an audio file onto any motion clip or timeline Trim, split, and reposition audio against your keyframes to get the timing right Export audio alongside your animation in MP4 a
