Default Section Settings

Adding to this - being able to adjust the default section padding like we can for the nudge amount! Mine has a default of 80 and it’s too tight, so I’d need to manually adjust it every time and no one has time for that.

Auto-layout within sections would also save so much time.

I WHOLLY support both of the above comments ^ updating the default fill/stroke/corners for sections + adding a setting for the default section padding would be a significant time saver.

Maybe also a setting for the default margin/gutter between frames within a section? I prefer there to be 100px between each frame, but when I copy and paste a frame, Figma automatically places the new frame 40px away.

+1, Oh please, I’d love to have the default style for sections.

+1 — the same way that we have “Set default properties” for text, we should be able to do the same for sections. Additionally, I agree that auto-layout within sections would be incredibly valuable.

+1 this would make life sooooo much easier. And it’s surely no rocket-science to implement ;)

Please do this!

Less nondeterministic AI slop, more sensible workflow improvements like this that affect every single designer adding virtually anything to any existing Figma file where repeating yourself is the path of least resistance.
