Body: Hi Figma team, In the past few days, the shortcut Shift + Command + V for pasting text without formatting has completely stopped working. Expected behavior (previous): While editing inside an existing text box, pressing Shift + Command + V pasted only the plain text content, inheriting the current text box’s font, size, and color. Current behavior (now): Pressing Shift + Command + V does nothing — no text is pasted, and there’s no response in the UI. Steps to reproduce: Copy some text from a another text layer. Double-click into an existing text box in Figma. Press Shift + Command + V. Result: No action occurs. No text is inserted. This shortcut used to be a very common part of my workflow, and losing it has significantly slowed down my text editing process. Could you confirm if this is a bug or if the shortcut has been changed? Thank you!
The current implementation of the viewport is somewhat limited because I can’t use pinch to zoom function with the keyboard’s touchpad. Tried different browsers also and different touchpad’s, but it’s the same behavior. Enabling this will make using Figma possible on iPad browsers. Thanks.
Hi everyone, I’m looking for urgent advice. Two days ago (Aug 12), I accidentally permanently deleted my Figma workspace (I was the sole member). This action also deleted a critical project file I had been working on for dozens of hours. I contacted Figma Support less than 10 minutes after the deletion with all details (file name, URL, deletion time, screenshots) and asked if it could be restored from backups. I also paused all activity in my account (including drafts) to avoid polluting logs or backups. I understand this kind of restoration is not standard, but I’ve read that it can sometimes be possible if reported quickly. The backup window might soon close, so I’m hoping to get advice from the community: Has anyone successfully had a file restored after a permanent workspace deletion? Any tips to ensure the request is escalated to the right technical team as quickly as possible? Thank you for any help!
Hi, dear community! After the recent update, I've come across an issue with styles in dev mode (macos app / chrome or arc figma website). Right now, I can’t copy a single line from the styles block — I can only copy all of them using the button. It's not possible to highlight and copy just one line. Has anyone else experienced this? We have removed lots of unused users (about half of them) due to a restructuring, but we have been invoiced for all seats on July 29. We do not foresee using all seats during this next year. Is it possible a refund or credit for future renewal for all those unused seats.
Today I noticed that when I try to apply variable modes to page / artboard / layer using Figma on web they won’t apply. I select the option and nothing happens. I use this feature frequently, and it’s working in the desktop app, so it seems like this is a new problem. Anyone else experiencing?
Hello! 🤠 I was very excited to see the addition of Auto Layout Grid today! Having flexibility for both Rows and Columns at the same time is a game changer. That said, I immediately ran into not being able to set a column width to “Hug” within a table, which is a bummer. In the attached video, I want the “Audited By” column to Hug to the longest table cell content. I show both the current solution today, and what I am trying to do with Auto Layout Grid. I can manually adjust the width of the column, I guess, but as you can see, it makes it hard to ensure correct padding without a lot of careful tuning of the width. Anyone have any solutions? Will this be coming as a fast-follow feature? Thank you!

I need a single line of text to fit within a container without wrapping, breaking the boundary, or truncating. I need the text to get smaller when it gets too long to fit, either by reducing font size or overall scale. The text is dynamic, so I can’t reliably tell how long it will be to pick an ideal font size. Things I’ve tried: Standard left and right with top and bottom constraints, but if the text becomes too long, it wraps and breaks the boundary or truncates. Using text auto width with scale constraints, but the text just grows outside the boundary. Using text auto width then wrapping it with an auto layout, thinking the layout could hug the text and use scale constraints to get smaller, but hug resizing and scale constraints are mutually exclusive. Is there any way to do this dynamically?
