As of last week, I suddenly cannot export anything but PNGs. Example: if you select the icon and try to change the export from png to svg, it reverts to png.
This is what's happening: 1. When I try to copy and paste from the browser to the Figma Windows app, the function does not work at all. 2. When I try to copy and paste inside a figma file using the Windows app, the function still does not work. The shortcut and right-click options do not work for copying and pasting. I've had this problem since yesterday. I am using the most recent figma update for the figma windows app, and I checked the browser clipboard option, which does not help me. Please help me resolve this issue as soon as possible. It's very annoying and makes it difficult to use the app.
Ciao, When you set a frame size (e.g. A4 sheet - 21x29.7cm) and set the resolution to 300dpi, when I go to export the PDF, the file is not the size of an A4... This is absolutely not correct. The file size should always be the same, but with different resolutions. Fix as soon as possible, Thank you.

It would be a great idea to add the ability to move annotations (сhanging the place). Right now, they’re fixed in place and can overlap other elements. And you cannot change it.What I mean is the ability to reposition an annotation freely while keeping the link to the target object intact.Annotations are a really useful feature—thank you! Previously, I had to create similar functionality using my own objects. Please do not move this offer to another discussion. 🙏 Can we move the Figma Annotations (in dev mode) from one Figma project to another? These are different questions.

Hi, I’m not sure if this is new since the May update, but I wonder why “empty” (all elements hidden) Auto Layout Frames keep the size of the last hidden child (and I do not mean last in the list, but the last element to have been toggled out of view by the user), making them not-0px high even with nothing in them. See here a file with a Frame with three hidden rectangle: the Frame keeps the size of the last child rectangle to have been hidden. When adding a 0-px Frame to the AL frame, and toggling this 0-px Frame off last, the container goes 0-px. In my opinion, empty AL Frames should have a height of 0. What do you think?
I'm using Dev Mode in a paid Figma workspace, and I noticed that "Compare changes" only appears for certain frames or components. Some of them don’t show this option at all. I’ve noticed that it only appears for frames that were edited in the last 7 days — is that true?Are there any official rules or limitations for when the "Compare changes" button shows up? Would appreciate any clarification. Thanks!
When setting a video as a background of a frame in Figma Sites and checking the “Mute” toggle, the HTML video tag does not have the muted property. My goal is to autoplay the video. Autoplay works in some browsers (even though the “muted” property is not on the video tag), but in others (such as mobile Safari), the muted property (and others that are sometimes required, such as playsinline and webkit-playsinline) are not included in the HTML. Without the required properties, the Autoplay toggle is useless when the Figma Site is viewed in some browsers.
Background: I am a developer, and I use Figma exclusively in Dev Mode via the web interface. I don’t have (nor do I want) any edit access to the designs I’m implementing. That’s for the designers. When the Measure tool appeared (the ruler icon on the upper left toolbar), I latched onto it very quickly. It greatly improved my speed of accurately implementing a design. There are certainly other ways to measure things in Figma, but they are all transient. The best part of the new tool was that I could quickly measure many different things and have all the measurements persist so that I could then just refer to them during development. It was a simple yet well-conceived tool. Then the Measure feature suddenly and completely disappeared on April 10! (Nooooo!!!) Other developers on my team can’t see it either, but the designers and anybody with edit access can still see it. Has there been a change that means that edit access is required to enable Measure? Apologies if this is simple or has been asked before but I can’t find a solution. I have a component that needs to have a fixed width but the height can vary depending on the ratio of the image at the top of the component. I need the ability for the image to keep the fixed width but adjust the height in proportion to the files ratio. No matter what I do the image container never seems to adjust and there isn’t a hug option on the image. This means if I select a landscape image instead of pulling all the content up the image frame stays the same size with the image flowing in the middle. Figma – 22 Mar 24
I’m hoping someone can clarify this for me. I used to copy objects from Adobe Illustrator with Cmd +C and paste them into Figma with Cmd +V, and they would arrive as editable vectors. I’m absolutely certain this worked before. Lately, though, every paste comes in as a flattened image instead of vectors. Nothing in my workflow has changed, so I’m starting to wonder if I’m losing my mind! Has Figma (or Illustrator) changed something recently? Is there a setting or workaround I’m missing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
how do I set spacing mode to a frame, I cannot find this setting in the advanced settings section
I work with 2 co-workers, one (like me) focuses on UX Design, the other is in charge of the design system and token files. When doing some file clean up I discovered in the token Figma file, I had 200+ changes to Publish. The other UX designer showed that as well. The coworker in charge of the token files showed no changes to Publish, and nothing to update. We all then checked our version history and they are the same time and date. Any idea what could have caused this or how to fix it? We are using a company account, and I believe we all have the same editing credentials. Not sure what other variables would cause this misalignment in the same file.
