Ciao,

When you set a frame size (e.g. A4 sheet - 21x29.7cm) and set the resolution to 300dpi, when I go to export the PDF, the file is not the size of an A4... This is absolutely not correct. The file size should always be the same, but with different resolutions.

Fix as soon as possible, Thank you.

Hi @COMMpla srl ,

I understand you're trying to export a PDF at A4 size (595x842) frame with 300 DPI, but the exported file doesn't match the expected A4 dimensions.

According to our Export formats and settings guide, assets exported as images from Figma are set to a default DPI of 72, and PDFs are only exported at 1x.

Given that, it's possible what you're experiencing is a current limitation of how Figma handles PDF exports.

If you're open to it, we’d love to investigate further. Please fill out this secure form: Submit a request

In the form, please include:

  • A video recording or screenshots showing the issue (include full Figma UI, especially the canvas dimensions and export settings)

  • The actual exported PDF file

  • The URL of the file you're working with, and grant edit access to support-share@figma.com (Rest assured, this won’t impact your billing.)

This access will help our team reproduce and investigate the issue more effectively.

Thanks!
