Figma Make AI is so bad I had to give up on my project

I started using Figma Make because it popped up and asked me to. I thought I’d build a simple swimlane workflow with minor interactive options to showcase a scenario of a migration from one platform to another. It pretty much nailed the layout at the start, which got me excited. But 4 days later - I want to scream, it’s so frustrating. Subsequent requests to get it to work correctly made it go into a loop of fail that it keeps repeating no matter what. I even linked it to the working version and it still can't get it right. After 100s of versions and a conversation 4 days long, I give up. So much for this portfolio piece I put so much effort into. The AI is just not very bright - at all.

Hi, Tom,

Thank you so much for responding! I was very frustrated with it yesterday! I had, however, remembered that I saved a very early version with the aesthetics I liked, so I moved over to that one and made sure I gave clear instructions as to what to do from there, and now I am pretty happy with it. I kept the frustration version too, but it’s soooo long with loops over and over of the same thing that I don’t know if anyone will be interested.

at this point i need to move my project out of figma make AI, there is no way 1 AI can be so horrible, it literally can’t fix issues and creates more problems than a toddler. How can it be this dunce? please can someone tell me how to move my project off this, its been 2 months and i still cant fix basic problems and customer service is also horrible and never replies. Who knows how to export your app?

What I find frustrating at times, when I ask for a specific change, Figma decides to change other sections that had nothing to do with my request.  Some times it will be cosmetic and other times it is the way the logic works.  I am not sure if it is the way I ask for the change or Figma doesn’t understand not to touch other things even if it noticed an issue.  What would be nice is for every change it allows for a change log at a high level.  Something like “Rearrange fields in section A. Removed the validation of numbers only. etc...”
