Hello, i have a problem setting up components that are resizing on click. There is a left side behaving as i like. With auto layout it is pushing the right elements to the right and lower elements down. The right side should do the same only sides inverted, that it pushes left elements to the left and lower down. Can anyone please help me to make this happen and if it is not possible, maybe is there any idea to get something similar done? My idea is to get a bubble that offers further information on click. I’m not sure this is doable in Figma. Looking either for confirmation of that and/or if there are workarounds. What I’m trying to do: I have a continuously looping animated component I’ve set as the bottom most element of a frame (the background) I want to animate elements on top of it and navigate between frames the problem: navigating from frame 1 to frame 2 using smart animation works for everything BUT the background looping animation. What happens is that the background animation freezes, the rest of the elements animated, and then the background animation ‘resets’ and continues on animating. It’s a very jarring transition. The only thing I’ve thought of (but haven’t tried yet) is redoing this looping animation in aftereffects and exporting as a movie, and then bringing that into Figma. But have a hunch I may have the same ‘reset’ issue.

Hi everyone, I am building a prototype for an app that contains a kind of reel-feed. I am super happy, that I am now able to use videos for Prototypes ( 🎉 ) but unfortunately in my Figma Mirror app the sound is not playing. Does anyone have an idea to fix this? Make videos smaller? User other way to display? The prototype needs to work on a phone. I feel like it plays a little bit smoother in the browser, but there’s still no sound and the search bar messes up the dimensions. Hi guys 🙂 I was wondering if there is a solution to my icon problem. We’re currently establishing a design system for a project, and we’re using the atomic design method (component in component). So we have these special icons that have a color circle and an icon inside. The eye icon is a component itself and I want to create a new icon (component) with the circle. I’ve tried to put in the fill in the original icon and fix the radius, but currently, it’s made out of an original eye icon and a circle. The problem is both of the solutions don’t work if I want to resize the icon (scale works, but we want to change the size in the frame section). The circle is resizing okay, but the eye icon stays the same size. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Creating size variants or changing size by scale is working, but it’s not the solution we’re searching for. We want it to properly change size by resizing the component. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hey guys, The text multi edit feature is absolutely grotesque, I am simply baffled. The number of errors and undos I have to perform because of accidental multi field editing is absolutely absurd.

Hi team, With the new multi select/edit text, when using this function across different breakpoints the fonts styles are being replacedto match the edited field. If the edit prompt field is in a desktop frame it will replace our mobile frame with the same desktop font styling. Is there a way to make edits to the copy without the styling being replaced?

Figma Prototype Issue: When navigating from Flow #1 to Flow #2 by clicking on the respective links on a frame of Flow #1, the left navigation menu does not update to reflect the change in flow (should go from #1 to #2 but still stay on #1 currently). This could potentially cause confusion for users, as the navigation menu no longer accurately represents the current flow being viewed. Already searched existing topics, didn’t find similar issue, please let me know if there are existing answers, thank you!

I am making a website with different colour themes that correlate with different brands. There is a logo container in the header, and I have created a logo-component with logo instance swapping. This logo-component is embedded in the header-component. I want to know if there is a way to show the instance swap of the logo-component in the settings panel of the header-component. So that I don’t have to go into the header-component and select the logo-component to then swap out a new instance.

I think Im loosing the plot! Im new to Figma and have been able to search and find help on everything but this. Exporting image, still showing up grey on the border. Ive tried the suggestions in the forum, making sure frame is transparent, exporting as PNG, and making sure elements are locked in frame and NADA.

I have searched online and in these forums and haven’t seen anyone ask anything like this. I would like to be able to have the “Navigate to” action navigate to a frame name that is defined based on a variable string. Example, I have a set of buttons that make a number variable increment up or down within the same frame. Upon a click event I would have an action that would set a String variable to change based on the current number variable (add that new number to the end). Then add another action after this that would navigate to a frame named after this String variable. It doesn’t look like the Navigate to action can target anything other than a literal frame from a drop down menu. Is there some other approach that might work? Or am I missing something to make this happen? Thanks for any thoughts!

There is a problem that, my coding mates just need to know CSS, so they don’t want to Sign up an account for Figma. But now, when I shared them a Dev Link, they must Sign up to use the link, not very convenient. Hope Figma Dev mode learn Adobe XD’s link, that everyone can use it even they don’t have an account.

Hi, Trying to create a moodboard in FigJam. Any links would show a nice preview of the link. But links from Instagram are loading a skeleton of the preview but then switch to just url… Any idea why and how to solve this?

Hey, I’m currently working on a plugin that requires the user to choose between three options before the code gets executed. While creating a UI for such a simple tasks is possible, I’ve seen other creators use a dropdown in the plugin run button (see image). I turned everything transparent, but I’m unsure how to fit it. I was messing around with some shortcuts and hit the wrong button. All I see are the outlines of images, shapes and words, and there is no colour.

I have updated some text styles in my design system, but Figma is showing there is nothing to publish in the library. When I go to other files the text styles are still reflecting the old ones. Anyone else having this issue? Seems like a bug.
