How did the creator manage to remove the Figma white footer for their prototype? alongside the Figma logo on the left top corner and the Expand button in the top right corner. Hello everyone, I’m currently encountering some challenges while prototyping the chat feature within the app. Here’s the issue: I’ve placed a chat icon on 20 different screens, and I’m seeking a way to configure it such that clicking this icon on any of these screens will take me to the chat screen. Furthermore, I’d like the ability to return to the original screen by clicking the back icon on the chat screen. The difficulty lies in having to create an additional 20 chat screens to navigate from the 20 different screens with chat icons. Is there a more streamlined approach to achieve this?
I want two separate component to hover at the same time when hovering on one… not sure how to do that. basically each element has its own hover estate, however I need both to react together when hovering on either.
Please help, I`m new in Figma, I accidentally pressed the keyboard, some button started appearing and the whole frame began to look like this, see photo. How to return it back, canceling the previous action did not help. Thank you in advance!

I installed some plugins but when I click on the desktop=>plugins, I only see the list of recent ones, that is, the last five used, but I can’t see all the ones installed. How can I see this? Thanks for this already
In my app design i want to create a menu for my info section like shown above. When clicking on one of the headers the section should expand and all the other sections close themselves. I created a information component which works perfectly. Is it somehow possible, that when the size of the information component changes, that the “Overlay Menu Information” Auto Layout Frame only rezises on top? So that when the container should grow, the top border moves up and when shrinking it should move down. The bottom border should stay at the same place. I need this behavior, so my Smart Animate Transition looks smooth.
Hello Always when I try to display my prototype the screen is too small for my design and I can’t fix it
We have created numerous UI toolkits filled with components. We want to restrict edit abilities on these components, but still allow people within our organization to pull the components and use them as needed in their designs. Does Figma currently have a way to do this? Is there also a way to track how to components are being used/altered?
I’m trying to export a simple text with a stroke. The text is the following As you can see, the preview seems normal. However, when I export it with the selected options I get the first result. If the “Outline Text” option is unchecked, the result is the second one, which corresponds to the text stroke being in “center” mode (which I have not selected). Does someone know what is going on here?

Some of my prototypes that were working before, suddenly started to bug. It’s a pretty simple case : I have a component with a string variable attached on it, so it can change the variant remotely with MouseEnter interactions. OnMouseEnter : string value changes to “a” OnMouseEnter on the background (since MouseLeave doesn’t work on my example) : string value changes “b”. It works for a while, after changing the variable state back and forth a few times, this is enough to have the prototype restart and the loading never ends. Sometimes it just freezes. I’ve had this on quite a few projects, which kind of defeat the purpose of using variables. This is one of many examples.
I’m doing some studies and I went to use constraints and realized that the option “Fix position withen scrolling doesn’t appear there” . How do I resolve this? I used desktop and browser mode.

Been learning about variants and components, and am trying to like add new layers to only one variant of a component. I create the layer and in the layer sidebar I put it where it should be. But if I try to then re-position the layer relative to the rest of the variant it just pops back out of the component all-together which is quite annoying. Video will show what I mean. How should I go about fixing this? Not sure if this is a bug or intended behaviour and I am doing something wrong. Thanks.
Hi I am new Figma and a bit confused about frame dimensions. I am designing an App for the iPhone 14 Max so have used Sigma’s preset Frame for the iPhone 14 & 15 Pro Max. This has a dimension of 420x932, whereas according to Apple the resolution should be 2796×1290 pixels. Can someone explain what I am missing? When I export the frame as a PNG the images have the same low resolution. Thanks Richard
When you hover your mouse over the corner of an object, the rotation and stretch icons begin to change each other very quickly so that it is impossible to click on one or the other. Why is this happening and how to solve?
What is this button used for ? Is it for styling new symbols ?
Hello there, I am currently working on a drop-down menu that has both hover and click triggers. Everything else works fine except I would like the previously clicked component to change back to its normal state once I click on another component in the drop-down.
Hi community! Hope you all are doing ok. Does anybody know what is Figma’s logic when changing a Placeholder with a component? Context: I have a Card component variant set which a few of these variants have a Placeholder auto layout to enable users to replace with whatever they want. But as I try to change it with a different component it overrides its resizing properties and does not carry the component properties: In this example, my Button has Hug - Hug property but this is not being reflected since my Placeholder has Fill - Fill. The weird thing is that this doesn’t happen with all components. Can anyone help me with this? Maybe I am missing something… 😬
I was building a double tap interaction to present zoom in/ zoom out features, but I found some problem as I used the variables to judge if the user is double tapping. I wanna exclude the single tap condition, it means that only when user double tapping in short span, just like 500ms, can be judged as a double tap condition. Here are the conditions: I use After delay to manipulate the timer. Since AfterDelay can only be put on the parent layer, I set timer on the frame. And on the picture object, I set the conditions and the zoom in/out action. if tapTimes == 2 and 【timer】>0 Set doubleTap to true Set tapTimes to 0 Set timer to 0 if tapTimes == 2 and 【timer】==0 Set doubleTap to false Set tapTimes to 0 Set timer to 0 It looks not bad, but there’re still some problems: I don’t know why some times it was judged as a double tap, although the interval between two taps is greater than the span I set.
Hi, I have the following question regarding Design Systems. There are two cases of using previously built components. In the first case, everything is clear; I’ve created five different icon variations, and I know where they are located on the mockups. However, in the second case, I’ve built a component, but I no longer remember its exact location on the mockup. My question is, is there a way to quickly check where these components are located? Something like selecting a component and having it jump to the Design System but in the opposite direction.

Hello community members, We’ve recently implemented semantic versioning in our Figma workflow, and we’re facing a specific scenario that we could use some assistance with: What happens to published library styles, components, and variables when a previous version is restored in other design files? In our setup, we maintain a single source of truth Figma file, which houses all of our saved styles, components, and variables. These components are then published to a library that various client files reference. Our file are versioned, and this has raised a crucial question for us. Our primary concern is understanding what happens when we need to restore a client file to a previous version. Specifically, we’d like to know if the components used from the shared library will be rolled back, but solely within that particular client file. Your insights and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your expertise!
I am doing a project on Figma in which I have to demonstrate drop down menus. The hamburger and the Cities (upper righthand corner) dropdowns work because I had an expert make them while showing me how. But I still can’t make a drop down that works! I tried to make the Venue dropdown (first button on the navigation bar) but when I click it, all of the buttons just flash once. No menu drops down under the Venue button.
