When I copy and paste stuff the pasting places elements in the most random locations. This used to be one of the best features figma had, flawless positioning on paste. It is quite sad that this feature broke and time gets invested in those pal characters. 

Issue with Ready for Dev Tab Showing Incorrect Changes After Branch MergeHi Figma Community,I'm encountering an issue with the "Ready for Dev" tab in Dev Mode after merging a branch, and I’d like to share the problem and see if there’s a solution or workaround to achieve the desired workflow.The ProblemAfter merging a branch into the main file, the "Ready for Dev" tab correctly marks the affected section as Edited. However, when I click "Compare Changes" to review the updates, it displays incorrect comparisons: The "old" version shows the section as deleted (from before the merge). The "new" version shows the section as added, but it’s not the latest merged version—it’s the version of the section before the merge. This creates confusion for developers because the comparison doesn’t reflect the actual changes made in the merged branch. As a result, they cannot see what was edited in the merged version directly from the "Ready for Dev" tab.Current WorkaroundTo resolve this, I have to:

Constraints in my new projects don’t work properly — objects that are supposed to stick to the top behave as if I set them to center alignment. It's terribly inconvenient, especially when I change the height of a frame.Also, in one of my new projects, I can't see the spacing between objects using the Option key. I can only see the spacing relative to the main frame.Please fix this.

Hello! What should I do if a new user does not receive an invitation letter from Figma?

I use figma on an academic account. I rely heavily on the “open session” on figjam (as a replacement for Google’s jamboard), but I have been running into some issues with it. Sometimes when I send someone the link to the open session, despite it saying it will allow anyone to edit with no account required, they are only given view/comment access, and not editing access. The open session is not timed out, because it is a manner of minutes/seconds after the session is created that the link is sent, and in the time using the whiteboard (usually up to an hour) the issue does not resolve. I have been told by the recipients of the link that they get a message saying “an error has occurred”.I am unsure what exactly creates the bug or how to replicate it, as from my end it is seemingly random. I send the link to the figjam board via the chat on Google Meet, or email. The recipient clicks it and then attempts to edit the board. Hello, Our team is currently using Figma for our projects, but none of us are receiving desktop push notifications. Here’s what I have checked so far:  I am using Figma on a Mac (macOS Sequoia). All notification settings are enabled both in Figma and in my Mac system preferences. However, Figma does not appear in the list of apps under Mac’s notification settings. I have logged out and back into Figma, but the issue remains. This issue affects the entire team – no one is receiving desktop push notifications. Additionally, we are not receiving notifications on the Figma mobile app either, and we are wondering if this could be due to incorrect settings.  Due to our company’s internal situation, we cannot rely on Slack notifications. It is very important for us to receive desktop push notifications directly from Figma to stay updated on project activities. Please advise on how we can resolve this issue and if there are any specific settings we should check. Thank you.

Hi, I'm experiencing a strange behavior when working with annotations. When I copy and paste text from my notes (e.g. Notion, Apple Notes, etc.) into an annotation field, the entire text automatically appears as a hyperlink, even when there’s no actual link in the copied text.Is this the intended behavior? Or could it be a formatting bug?Any help or clarification would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since the newer FigJam updates, I have noticed a real degradation in how the basic features work. Connection lines, alignment of shapes inside of other shapes or sections, small half-unit spacing inaccuracies, etc. These used to be baked in very well prior to the update chain with more colors and more shapes, but I notice the lines getting more and more finicky as well as alignment overall being an issue. Not sure if I’m the only one experiencing this, it’s a much better platform than Miro but it’s working worse than it used to.

Hi Figma, I’m struggling with changing the order of my button variant values and would wanted to share it here in case it’s a bug or something that could be fixed! I have a lot of variants in this button and when I try to drag a value and move it up or down in the list, I can’t move it past the overflow. There’s also a glitch when I select the value to drag, it moves lower in the list so I can’t even move it back to where I grabbed it. Here’s a screenshot of the section i’m referring to. Specifically in the “edit variant property values” 

The API token generation button is not active. What's the reason?

I am not able to use scroll zoom while using external mouse wheel. Also not able to check the this option in figma>is this a bug or something like that ? in figma itself    

 I use these position settings frequently to update element iterations. I paste to replace new iterations over existing ones that will always replace center/bottom aligned and they need to stay where placed. I do this up to 150+ at a time. They are no longer doing that and I’m not sure if something changed or if this is a bug but it is now causing major work issues as I cannot iterate on this work with ease. 

I added another colour token to an already published file, but the new colour token is not reflecting in other files where I used the assets from the published file.

Hi communityI have deleted a font from the team library, but as soon as I publish the team library, I always get an error message that it is not possible to remove the font from the team library.I'm trying to find out if the font exists somewhere in the library, but since the library has many components, it's a lot of work. I've also recreated the same style with the same name and deleted it again, that worked, but the old style is still there and every time I publish something to the team library I have to uncheck that style.I had hoped that the problem would be solved with a Figma update, but unfortunately this is not the case, the library remains blocked.I would be very grateful if someone has a hint. Thank you 

Hi guys,Sometimes certain constraints get disabled, and I don’t get the reason, it happens when I make that specific element FIXED in the prototype section and I simply cannot select the disabled constrain options, especially LEFT AND RIGHT, that’s what I mostly use. Anyone know what the issue is?Thanks :)  

Hello,I’m having one big problema about autolayout. I want to make a 2-layered scroll menu but the las element I want it to be one layered but the height of the total menu. In this picture you will understand:  As i’m trying to make a horizontal scrolling menu, i have to autolayout it, but it doesn’t keep me this form, it keeps me modulating the elements, and I cannot arrange this. Please I need help to make this menu!

When using find and replace to replace spaces “ “ with underscores “_” each time I ran it, it only replaced the FIRST space in the layer name and not ALL as expected. So to replace the spaces in a name like “this is an example name” I would need to run find/replace four times, like so:this_is an example name this_is_an example name this_is_an_example name this_is_an_example_nameFigma desktop app 125.2.3 on MacOS Sequoia 15.4

Since Figma released the new Collapse layers button, I’ve been having issues with collapsing layers.Until now, I’ve relied heavily on the Opt + L shortcut in my workflow, and I especially liked that when collapsing, the tree for any selected layer would remain expanded.Now, that no longer seems to work. Whether I have a layer selected or not, all layers collapse, both when I use the shortcut and when I click the new button.I checked the release notes for April 2025, and this doesn’t appear to be the intended behavior. Has anyone else run into the same issue? Collapse LayersWe've added a new entry point to the layers panel to quickly collapse all layers. If you have an object selected, all layers will collapse except for the layer tree of your selection. With nothing selected, all layers will collapse!

When I’m updating lots of text (like in list items) I often use the tab key to quickly jump to the next text element and continue typing without having to use the mouse. However, when I use the tab key to jump to the next text element in component instances, it jumps to the next text element in the layers list, even if that text element is hidden. This isn’t ideal, because I am trying to edit the next visible text element, and I have to tab through a lot of invisible items to get to the one I actually want to edit. Is this the intended behavior? I don’t think it used to work like this but can’t remember for sure.

I have a progress bar component that has two different sizes (M, L) and uses auto-layout hug so that when it’s nested in another component and swapped it changes size.I’m nesting this progress bar in a Tile component and absolutely positioning it with left, right, and bottom pinning.When I take an instance of the Tile component and try to resize the nested progress bar component, the component resizes, but it completely ignores the absolute positioning constraints and grows downward as if it was pinned to the top of the frame. The only solution I have found so far is to wrap the nested component in another auto-layout frame and use that to control the pining, but this seems like unnecessary nesting. I would expected any nested component that has pinning constraints set to obey those constraints when it resizes. Screen Recording attached

Hi everyone,I use Figma on the web, my macOS version is Sequoia 15.4.1. I have installed the Figma Agent and it said I can use local fonts on the web, but this is not working. I tried everything from clearing cache, restarting computer, refreshing page but Figma still doesn’t show the fonts under “Installed by You”. I also have the latest google chrome version. I can’t see the fonts in an existing Figma project and also not if I create a new file. Other programs on my mac like Adobe Illustrator show all fonts without an issue.Any solutions?
