With the new underline styling feature it’s not possible to reset the color to be “Auto” again. It only allows picking from the variables & styles, but no auto option available. This seems to be a bug. I had to re-create a text style because this wasn’t possible. In addition (this is only tangentially related): it should be possible to leave the color on Auto / any pre-defined variable or style AND make it possible to change the opacity of the underline. So I can pick auto and then turn down the opacity to let’s say 50%. This is also needed for general fills and such!

Anyone else having this problem?: My team’s design system library uses extensive variables, but all of a sudden when I go to edit local variables it says I do not have any. All of our variables can still be viewed and used in other Figma files that use the library, I can still toggle modes and when I select components that use the colors in the variable libraries they show up as a library color, but with no label, just a blank rectangle. I also see that I have variables when I go to publish the design system library.

How is this even possible, and why is it happening? I have about 5 files, and 2 of them serve as the main sources for components and variables. For the past 3 days, Figma has been randomly deciding which variables to export to other files and which ones not to. As a result: From one file, I can only see 2 out of 40 necessary variables. From another file, no variables are being exported at all. This morning, I created 4 new test variables, and guess what? They immediately appeared in all the other files. But the critical variables I actually need are still not updating! Where is support? Why hasn’t this issue been resolved after several days? This is paralyzing the entire team’s workflow!

Hi! I’m experiencing an issue where the slides won’t display at the full 1920 x 1080 dimension when in present mode (both when presenting just the slides and in audience/notes mode). We also can’t change the dimensions of the slide itself, so not sure why it’s presenting at a size that don’t fit the default dimensions? The biggest option seems to be the “Macbook Pro 16” at 1728 x 1117px which cuts off a lot of the slide. I’ve already tried troubleshooting (closing tabs, quitting and restarting Figma, and restarting my laptop) and still can’t present at the full dimensions. Included a screenshot and video - would greatly appreciate any help/insight! Thank you!!

We’ve had several completely random people outside of our organisation requesting access to view files that they technically should never have known existed. How do they get access to our files? They have not been shared, they are all set to invite-only and only participants inside our organisation should be able to see these files. It’s happened at least 4 times with 4 different external people, all on supposedly locked and private files. These are company confidential files - how is this possible? How do we prevent this from happening?

One Figma file just keep saying that it has unsynced changes. I did everything but it won’t open. The thing is that I can open the same file using any browser app. I’ve faced this kind of issues with big files, but it opened after a few minutes. Have you faced any issue like this? Were you able to solve it? Note: I’m using Figma Beta

When it comes to updating a branch, it takes a very long time to get the modal, and confirming by clicking “keep branch” takes not just seconds, but almost minutes to get to the next conflict. No matter if I am on my Mac Studio or MacBook Pro in Safari or Figma. It can’t be bandwidth or my machines. It seems to be on Figma’s side.

I am 95% sure that you used to be able to click the left side of the toast shown when you hid the Figma UI in a prototype in order to dismiss that toast immediately. Within the last few months it changed so if you hover the cursor over that area you get a text tool and clicking allows you to select that text (why would I want to do that?). The toast hangs out on screen for ten whole seconds before going away. I’ll often have to do a series of screen recordings of separate prototypes and having to repeatedly wait for that toast to dismiss gets old in a hurry. At the very least being able to select text elements of the Figma UI is a bug.

I’ve been using my variables across different files, but in one file, I can access all three groups of variables and work with them. In another file, I can only see 2 out of the 42 variables I need. Last week, I faced a similar issue where variables didn’t work across different files for 2-5 hours. Now, I’m encountering this problem again. Why did you change your pricing without addressing these bugs? Additionally, on another team account, AI functions aren’t available at all. Figma, are you okay? Please fix these problems before updating your pricing. The main issue isn’t the pricing; it’s that the app doesn’t function properly. I’m lost with this more than half day, because I need updated variables inside another File…

I was assigned an ongoing project at the beginning and saved it in my Draft. I had been working on it for almost a week, and now it’s gone?! How is that possible?

After the update of multi-edit , the indicator in component that locate the element in all the variant is disappeared , Accordingly the push changes to the main component is not updating the changes of elements properties in all variants ? I think this should be fixed , and I suggest the “multi-edit/select” should have it’s own tool , not integrated with the main “select” tool.

It is very annoying that there’s no horizontal scroll on the tabs bar in Figma Desktop app. I want to have a lot of files open at the same time, but when the tabs get too many and they go under the horizontal fold, there’s no way to see or access them except for using the keyboard shortcuts. At some point, I don’t even know how many tabs are hidden from my view 🤷 Please add the ability to scroll or introduce some better tab management.

Random glitches in the file. Double click on element fixing. If someone without edit permissions accesses the file, they encounter a bug they can’t fix. I can resolve any element glitches by double-clicking, but as soon as I leave the file and return, the glitches reappear. It’s really frustrating! Is there a way to fix this? Are you aware of this bug? It’s happening to a few members of our team as well.

Hi guys, For some reason I can no longer duplicate one of my files in Figma. This initially happened when I created a new branch within the file; so I assumed you can’t duplicate a file whilst it has a branch open. I closed the branch and was able to duplicate the file again. For some reason it recently stopped letting me duplicate it again and I can’t figure out why. We used this file as a starting point for many projects so it’s essential that we can duplicate it. The new divider shortcuts are great; however, I still want the ability to create blank page names using the spacebar. It’s nice to have that extra space to separate sections - it’s much easier on the eyes… Continuing the discussion from Default blank page names:

It seems this is an issue going back to 2023 but I haven’t seen a fix is there one? Video Btw is there a way to embed video instead of a link?

I’ve created a resume in Figma, exported it to PDF, then copied text from Acrobat Reader, and pasted it into a notepad, to test whether machines are going to be able to read the text. Hi everyone! I have a problem with Figma prototypes in the browser. If you open the prototype in a browser, the images stop loading. Only enabled vpn helps. Can you tell me what the problem might be and how to solve it? PS. I tried this on Safari, Mozilla and Orion browsers

How to reproduce: Create a component CA Create a component CB with two variants CB1 and CB2 Create an instance IB of CB inside CA Create an instance IA of CA Change the variant of IB inside IA to point to CB2 Expected behavior: A nodechange event is triggered for IA -> IB node with changeProperties containing componentProperties Reading overrides of IA should list IA -> IB and componentProperties as being overridden Actual behavior: Neither of the two occurs. Due to this bug, it is impossible to know via the Plugin API whether an instance is overriding the variant of nested instances, and being notified when it happens. After in Figma appeared a new “child” auto-layout, I can’t select all elements at once. So when I click Frame 2 (see screenshot) only this layer moves. However the whole layout group Frame 1 should moves. And when I click Rectangle 1 – suddenly the whole group moves. There is definitely something wrong with latest Figma design updates. Of course, unless it’s done on purpose. But then explain to me the sense of such updates please.

Was looking to update the Variable mode for a section. Just realized the “Layer” section in the right panel is no longer there. Is there a setting that I’m missing, because it used to be there under the “Section” area.

I cannot see all of the comments in Figma, It only shows fews and if I resolve any of them then it will scroll but other than that it doesnt let me scroll. Filters also doesn’t show. This bug is only affecting the older version of UI design. I Use the new UI then comments does show properly.
