slack integration

I understand you're unable to see comment notifications streaming to your Slack channel.

First, let's troubleshoot this together:

1. Is your Figma profile recognizing that your account is integrated with Slack? You can check your connected apps here: Regularly review your connected apps

2. Has the Figma app been added to your Slack workspace, and is your Figma account connected to Slack? You can find instructions here: Connect your Figma account to Slack

3. Could you confirm that you've navigated to the Figma app channel and typed on or start in the text field to turn notifications on? If you've already done this, could you try typing off or stop in the text field, then typing on or start again a few times?

4. Please check your notification settings by typing /figma settings in the Figma app to ensure everything is properly set. You can find more details here: Manage notification settings
    

Once you've checked these, if you're still unable to see comment notifications, I recommend submitting a support request directly to our team here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374

To help our team take a closer look, please provide the following details in your request:

• Share the file link in which you expect to be receiving notifications from.

• A specific comment in Figma that you weren't notified of in Slack.

• The URL of this forum post, so our team can review the troubleshooting steps we've already covered.

Setup instructions: 

If the Figma app has been added to your Slack workspace, be sure to connect your Figma account to Slack.

1. Open the Figma app in Slack workspace.
2. Click Connect your account. A tab will appear prompting you give Figma access to Slack.

There is no “Connect you account” button

Manage default notifications

To turn your default notifications from Figma on or off in Slack:

1. Navigate to the Figma app channel.
2. Type:
   • off or stop in the text field to turn notifications off
   • on or start in the text field to turn notifications on
3. Press return or enter to send the message.

Has absolutely no effect

Manage notification settings

To change your notification settings:

1. Navigate to the Figma app channel.
2. Type /figma settings
3. Update your preferences in the notification center, then click Close.
