Why do the available font weights in Figma not match Google fonts? For Poppins, ExtraLight shows a weight of 275 when queried in Dev mode, but this is not available in Google Fonts. 

There’s a thing where the ‘Go to main component’ buttom may be there and may not. It looks like this:At first it looked like view only users can go to main component if it’s in the same document and can’t if it’s in other document. But some people from dev and QA teams told me they can go to main component in other document while other people with same view only rights can’t. After some research I’ve discovered that this button appears for the user after accessing that other document with main component by direct link for the first time, even if document doesn’t have invite-only access. I understand concern that ‘Anyone with the link’  doesn’t mean free access, it is still require user to have a link to access the document but the UX of ‘Go to main component’ button is very frustrating. It could be simply grayed out with tooltip saying something like “You don’t have access to that document” or in this particular case, “Open this document with direct link in order to access its library”

Hey guys,I know there are lots of topics about this issue but none of them have solved my problem. It is very interesting because when I publish my variables from my Component Library, only ‘Primitives’ collection is accessible in other projects. And I see Tokens are hidden and Figma says these won’t be published. But I don’t know the reason. Because these Tokens are not selected as ‘Hide from publishing’  Can you guys help? Thanks!

Not using the native Windows 11 titlebar has consequences. For example, in the Windows world, when you don’t use the native titlebar, you lose access to the “Snap layout” options.For example, this is in Firefox:Snap layout FirefoxSeems unfair that macOS people have access to their OS’ window controls, but not Windows. 

Getting many attempts error, please fix this urgently.

Figma Admin Process The upgrade requests are not always displayed in recenct order and I can no longer tell if someone nudged a request. Before, a nudged request would be highlighted in a pale yellow. I havent seen that with the new UI yet.

I have noticed some new behaviour in the ‘all notifications’ menu on the homepage which I find pretty concerning. If there are unread comments, as soon as one hovers over the comment window it automatically marks it as read. Both in the notifications menu AND in the file. This has proven detrimental as when just checking in on a comment, it clears! Often I do not respond to notifications in the notification menu from the homepage, and instead prefer to return to the actual file when I am working on that project, to see the comment properly and respond while looking at all the file’s context nearby. Now when I enter the file the comment bubble is marked as read and so it’s missed! This is terrible UX especially if one is busy merely scrolling through their notifications and now they’re all being marked as read. At least provide the user to turn off this ‘hover-to-mark-as-read’ feature.See below example: After hovering over the first list item, it marks it as read. Just like that. Awful!

Since the 25 March update to the file browser I can only view files in grid view, as opposed to a vertical list.Is this a bug or has this feature been deliberately removed, and if so why? Previous layout options 

I mixed up the hotkeys and accidentally pressed ctrl+shift+o. All the slides in my project turned into curves. Is there any way to undo this? I tried ctrl+z and also go back to previous versions of the project, but it didn't work((

  Hello, I have few Sketch files that I need to import to Figma but when I do it, I find the following:Elements or components that are not in the same place. Different colors applied in some elements and text. Overlapping text. Hidden elements or text.I attach some examples of what is happening. I have been looking for a plugin or any way to import Sketch files in Figma to avoid this happening. It will be an huge amount of time to edit this again.Figma says that elements stay the same when importing Sketch files but I don't find this is true because it happens to me with all the documents.Please help 🙏🏼 Examples:Here you can see how text overlaps.  Here you can see how the search icon gets on top of the text link and shows different blue color.   Here you can see how the text change to white color. I have chosen black color, this white is clearly not accessible.  

When exporting a shape to SVG that does not have a fill in the design, fill is omitted from the SVG, as in this output:<rect x="0.5" y="0.5" width="503" height="319" stroke="black"/>According to the SVG specs, the default value for fill is black. This leads to incorrect output.When no fill attribute is provided in the design, the fill attribute should be set to “none”. The correct output should be:<rect x="0.5" y="0.5" width="503" height="319" stroke="black" fill="none" /> 

At first, it said that I had no permission to access the file “Circus Promo 2025”. Then I reloaded Figma and the file disappeared from my drafts or history.I contact support. But I received a message saying that, because of my starter account i should ask here on the forum.I extremely concerned that I lost this file and I need access to it immediately.

Hey there!I'm having a strange issue with variables and pages.Scenario:I have several libraries (A/B/C/D) I have a file with several pages (Cover/Research/Wireframes/Design/Prototype/Archive) Only Library A is added to this file. On the "Design" page, it's showing me variables from library B - why?What helped?Duplicating the "Design" page 😲 It no longer shows variables from the other library. Additionally, how do you deal with the old text styles or hidden components from other libraries?Thanks!

This is why i am still not opting to the UI3. it is missing so much functionality of the current UI. for instance. i want to “go to component” of a nested component. Either the new UI don’t have it or the Figma team managed to hide it very well. In the current (old) UI it is so easy and clear to find. Please before releasing any further features at least work on parity between versions. And if possible, bigger, more legible icons. the current situation in UI3 is just a joke all small icons no one can read and with very limited “clickable” area. I hope you will take these issues seriously. this is not Instagram or tiktok. Figma is an every-day tool for most of us.

I’m not able add vector points to existing path. It only lets me manipulate the existing points. I’m on version 125.2.3 using the desktop on a mac.In the previous versions, it would let add points in edit mode but now it does not.Additional nuances:It lets me add points to the paths I’ve created after the update, but only between two existing paths and won’t let me extend it beyond them. It just lets me manipulate the existing on the old paths but can’t add points or extend beyond the “end points” I have restarted both Figma and my computer twice. I have also tried in the browser but no dice.Does anyone know where this option is in the new UI?

It seems that from the last Figma’s movement on seats, our developers, under the DEV seat, are reporting they can’t any longer copy text from the design. When doing it a message is displayed saying “Only editors of this file can copy text”.Why is that and how can be sorted out?I will appreciate any help on this as is really annoying for a developer not to be able to copy text easily...

Hi there, I’m trying to update from main to one of my branches. There are 3 conflicts. After I resolved them and went to the next page where it shows all the other non-conflicting changes, the Apply changes button is disabled for me. I can’t click on any of the changes/layers in the right preview pane either. Am I doing anything wrong here? Would appreciate any help or pointers! Thanks! Ethan

Hey there, I have been trying to update from branch to main already for 5 times and get the same issue. After reviewing all changes and click on Next, I am not able to click on “Apply changes” button as the button is disabled (see attached) I am editor and owner of my file. Can someone help me out? Hello Guys i have a problem with only first frame/s that can be exported. After that first export i cant export anymore frames unless i reload. It can be a pain when the file is large and for every export needs to be reloaded. I use browser figma not App and i would like to stay there.

Hello, everybody! When I open any project I get a black screen on canvas. The UI are normal, but the project doesn't appear on the screen. I'm having this issue only in the Figma app for mac. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

Every time I try, I get this error: 'An error occurred while loading the plugin environment.'I've already tried the following troubleshooting steps:Testing both on the app and in the browser (same issue in both) Clearing the cache Uninstalling and reinstalling the app Checking for updatesNone of these steps have solved the issue, and it happens with all the plugins I try to install (Lorem Ipsum, Unsplash, Google Icons, etc.).Any idea what could be causing this and how I can fix it?Thanks!
