Report a Problem

I have been added to a figma space for my client project with editing access granted and my name is coming up in the members list however I'm still unable to edit files within the space.

I have a a few project with in my account. There is one that I accidentally set to education and now a few of my team members cannot export or access the files because they do not qualify as students. How can i take my account status out of education and place it back into a free starter account?

There’s some issue I have with Figma when I export shadows. It’s definitely Figma, because it keeps on having some white edges which are visible on the shadow depending on where you view it on.However, tools like Add a Shadow to a PNG – Online PNG Maker work and don’t have this outline, so I ask if there’s any way to fix this with Figma, thanks. EDIT: This occurs from exporting SVG assets as PNG.

Hi everyone,I’m having an urgent issue and would really appreciate some help.My Figma Education plan recently expired, and since then, my only team has been locked. I’ve already deleted all other teams (I now have just one single team), but I still can’t create or access draft files, and the team hasn’t unlocked even after several days. It seems like the system still treats my account as if it’s over the free plan limits, even though I’m well within them now.Has anyone else faced this? Or could someone from Figma Support please look into this? I’m completely blocked from working right now. Thanks so much in advance!

Hey, there. I'm creating a huge collage for a future wallpaper. All of my image assets have a transparent background to blend into the canvas background. Here's an example with Airi Momoi from Project Sekai as a floating head.I thought of giving a unique color overlay for each image. However, adding one removes the transparent background of the image. Is there any way I can make the color overlay to only affect the colored part of the image and not the transparent part?I already know the masking method, but I don't want to duplicate every single image as it's own layer and group. How can I get the same overlay effect with just the layer of the image itself? Please and thank you.

I recently purchased a Figma Professional account. I'm having trouble publishing components. When I try to use my components in another file, the texts get mixed up with the icons, and the icons get bigger. What should I do?

I tried to access my file, but I’m unable to do so .I don’t know if it was mistakenly removed or there’s another problem. This is very urgent please. This is the link to the file https://www.figma.com/design/G9ZsQKhN0UuiutGs4nYGtH/Untitled?node-id=0-1&t=mSHGdL8QH1dvhafF-1

Hi team! I’m trying to “Copy Make previews as design layers” on one make design and while it works for simple, short screens, it hangs (I see the “Copy as design layers...” in the bottom of the screen) and takes forever. In this case, it’s the landing page a colleague designed, which is big but I’d not say it’s huge :) It happens both on Desktop app (MacOS) and web versions.  Shall I somehow open a bug to report it?  Thanks!

I'm experiencing significant issues with student verification for our educational plan, as our college does not use SheerID and instead relies on Google accounts. The verification process for students has resulted in numerous errors and access problems. Specifically, some students currently lack access because they cannot maintain a free account within the educational team structure. Furthermore, SheerID support has been unresponsive to our requests for help.As a related ongoing issue, SheerID has also failed to update our college's name, which officially changed last year.

Hello!I’m Coursera online course student. Recently my Educational team was locked with a warning “Your Education status has expired. To keep using Pro features, upgrade your team or verify your education status”. As it’s an online course, i can’t reverify myself. Coursera tells that they reported the issue, but the team is still locked.Could you please look into my case and tell me how can i fix it?Thank you in advance!

Hey @Tom Reem So i got mail regarding the Prompt-to-edit alpha test and it says I will be added to a dedicated slack channel for the same. But I couldnt find any email or link or ways to enter this channel.May I know how?

Is anyone else having the issue when trying to type a word like “Discovery” (with a capital D, using Shift + D) that they go into developer mode? 😫This feels like a major bug, especially if I’m in the mode to type.

Dear sir/madamI am trying to re-verify my education status using the school email address. But it fails every time. When I connected to sheerid for this, they sent me an email stating this(image attached). Though I provided all the information needed, the sheerid is responding again and again the same. Please help and reverify my education status. I have sent them marksheet, confirmation of enrollment, and everything from my Higher Ed institution email. Still, they are denying my verification request and not stating the reason for doing so.RegardsAviral JainSheerid Response

Figma just stoped working. Is it me or someone else is facing the same issue? i can not do anything except loading the file and doing a preview.  [Post title updated by a moderator on 20-Oct-2025: “Figma Loading Issues — October 20, 2025.”]

I can’t see beyond a certain point in the Layers panel, the layers seem to be hidden by an invisible limit, which didn’t exist before the new update to the Layers panel. I can’t edit the layers because I can’t see them, and the focus interaction doesn’t work either.

Hey everyone,I’m running into a weird issue with Figma. The app opens fine and the UI loads, but the Home page itself is totally blank nothing shows up.I’ve tried using both the Windows app and the web version, and I also tested it on different internet connections, but it’s the same every time.Has anyone else run into this or knows what might fix it?Thanks a lot!

Hi,I just purchased a monthly figma subscription and I’ve tried to add pages within one of my projects and it is still saying that I need to purchase and upgrade. I can see my access is set to ‘full’ but I can’t add additional pages.I have also tried logging out and then logging back into my existing account. Please help! It’s urgent as I am in the middle of a job application test.

Issue with images not loading in Figma Community, plugin functionality, and it's not network or driver-related. Dear Figma Support, I am experiencing issues with images not loading correctly in the Figma Community section. Additionally, I am unable to use plugins on the workbench. This was working fine yesterday on another computer with the same internet connection, but the issue persists on my current computer even after trying different browsers and ensuring my drivers are up to date. Furthermore, I am receiving a message stating that I am running out of files in my free team, and I would appreciate help resolving this as well. Please provide me with any information or steps I can take to rectify these issues. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hi there, I am a current student in Singapore and applying for the student offer. It said that I would receive a verified email. But I checked my mailbox again and again, not seeing the email. I tried resend, but the same. Should I provide my student email here and the support team help me to have a look?

Hello Figma,I’m facing two challenging issues with the Replace Content feature:  In a table column, when I insert a cell and duplicate it across other cells in the same column, after pressing the Replace Content option, it not only changes the name but also adds an empty link to it. My problem is: why does it add an empty link? I just want it to place text, not link everything to blank pages. When I duplicate a cell into other cells of a column and ask it to rename them, sometimes it behaves poorly and makes only very minor changes. Even though I specifically ask it to fully change the text, it doesn’t seem to understand and does its own thing.  Thanks.

Hello lovely Figma team,Recently I’ve noticed that my icon components are getting messed up, and they only display correctly when I detach them. In the video below, you can see that the design system is implemented properly, so this issue seems to be a bug.

I have full seats and work in a team project, why can’t I see the search functionality and have trouble finding components?

I have tried repeatedly to reverify. I am a kindergarten teacher. I have also sent several emails and begged for any help at all. This is beyond frustrating. Not impressed at all.

My education verification for the Figma Student Plan failed with the message “Verification Exceeded Limit for Student Plan.”I think it happened because I tried to submit the verification form several times when it didn’t go through before.Could someone help reset the verification limit or review my request manually? Thanks a lot for any help!
