Hey! I’m getting a message once I open Figma saying “You can’t access this resource. Contact the owner, an admin, or support for assistance.” But it’s my account and I’m the only one on it?

Hi @yaroslav76 ,

I understand that you’re unable to open a file and are seeing the message: “You can’t access this resource. Contact the owner, an admin, or support for assistance.”

I checked on our backend and it looks like you have access to two Starter teams. To cover the basics, could you please check the “Trash” section under both teams?
You can switch between teams in your file browser’s sidebar by clicking the down arrow next to your team name and then checking the Trash section there.

When searching in Trash, we recommend selecting “Created by anyone” and “All files”, just in case.

Please note:

  • Files can’t be opened directly from Trash.

    • If you have edit access, you can restore the file.

    • If you have view access, you can duplicate it to your Drafts.

Also, just so you know — anyone with “can edit” access to the parent project can move files to Trash, even if you didn’t do it yourself.
For more details, please see this article:  Delete and restore files

If you’ve checked both teams and still can’t find your file, please share the file URL here. If you’re using the Desktop app, you can copy the URL by right-clicking the tab.

This will help us determine the best next steps to assist you.

Thanks,
