Issue:

When I try to tag @siva in a Figma file, two users show up in the list:

One is the real member of the project and organization (me).

The second one is not part of this project or organization, but still appears in the mention list.

I want to remove or stop seeing the second user.

Steps to Reproduce:

Open Figma Web/Desktop App.

Navigate to a specific Figma file within your project.

Click the comment button.

Type eg, @siva in the comment box.

You’ll see two users show up in the list.

One is part of the project.

The other one is not.

Expected Result:

Only project or organization members should appear when I type @siva.

Actual Result:

Two user suggestions appear, but one of them is not even part of the team.

User Role: Admin (mention your role in the project)

Additional Notes:

The second user ID persists across different files in the same team.

The second user has never been added manually.

Hi @Ahmad Raza, thanks for flagging this!

This seems related to a bug our team is investigating. May I ask if this other “@siva” has ever had access to this file/project?

This usually only happens when a user who has commented previously on a file, even if their access has been removed. With a few more details, I can pass this along to the team as they continue to investigate why this is happening. Thanks again.
