Hello,  since the last update, one of the most valuable feature in my opinion making Figma a real real tools especially these days where vibe coding has only the focus on the generative ui, Figma makes both (more fourth stage) which in my opinion one of the pillar tool that understood the current evolution of product design, and in a honest and decent pricing.While Figma Make have the whole attention of users it seems, it’s in fact in my opinion, the wrong usage of Figma Make.The golden workflow were as is : 1.Figma Design2.Figma Sites3. In Figma Site > Pasting Figma Design 3. In Figma Site > Creating components/code layout using Make in Figma Site (even using 21stdev for example) , animation etc 4. In Figma Site > Have a supercharged full blown “storybook” style library but in a insanely modular/flexible and with great affordance for dev and non dev5. TBH quite disappointing. Hello,I am a full-time faculty member at one of the global campuses of a well-known U.S.-based university. Our campus is registered as a local higher education institution in my country and is listed as such in the verification process. I am listed as a faculty member both on the local campus page and on the U.S. university’s website.However, after submitting the required documentation to SheerID, I received a message that my document was in a foreign language and would require additional processing time (from half an hour up to two days). This timeframe has passed, yet I have not received any feedback from SheerID, and I still appear as unverified inside Figma. When I try to re-submit, I encounter a limit reached notification. When are Figma going to add variables for custom cubic-bezier and durations? We have a design system with a custom library and it’s a real pain adding these to prototypes manually and leads to a bunch of inconsistencies. 

I have 2 files, a mockup file and a text strings variables file with 2 modes. I updated the text variables using a plugin (Sheets <> variables) this plugin replaced old values with new ones and kept the same variable names. On the mockup file, previous values were already assigned, Updating the Text librray file (after publishing) is not updating the variables. Although it does show the updated value in both modes (arabic and english) if I reassign the same text string variable manually. Going over the text one by one would be a hassle, is there a solution to reflect the updates directly, I was expecting it would after updating. Thank you

When placing a text layer inside a frame (without any fill, stroke, or effect), Figma shows an unexpected additional color (usually black) in the “Selection Colors” panel.This happens even if the text is styled correctly using a color variable, and there are no other visible color sources. The color cannot be selected, changed, or removed. Adding a transparent fill just adds another color to the list. The issue appears consistently as soon as a text layer is placed inside any frame. This seems to be a misleading behavior in the Selection Colors panel, as the color is not visually present or technically applied to any element. Any takes on this?

Hi Figma,In my main design system, currently i have these 4 collection. But after renaming a collection from 'Semantic (Device)' to 'Device-Type (S)' in the main design system file, now I can see both collection names in the working file. I requested for a help from figma support team, unfortunately the options they said not worked.

I’m unable to bulk load images as file paths in Figma Buzz. I tried both csv and xlsx files and when I upload the file it reads it as a text field . I’m just wondering if we are doing something wrong? Thanks 

Steps to Reproduce: Create a new text layer. Apply the font Noto Looped Thai – SemiBold. Type English characters (A–Z). Expected Result:English characters should display properly with correct styling in SemiBold weight.Actual Result:English characters do not render correctly.

Hello,I’m having a problem with my payment. My subscription started on September 6 and was supposed to renew on October 6. Yesterday, I couldn’t complete the payment because the amount shown was incorrect — it displayed $60 instead of my regular $16 subscription fee.Because of that, I canceled the subscription and tried to re-subscribe, but now I don’t have the option to pay monthly for the $16 plan. I can’t figure out how to do it, and I’d also like to remove the $60 payment line from my billing section since it’s incorrect and unnecessary.Could you please help me resolve this issue?Thank you in advance! 

Hi all -- having a lot problems today getting my Figma site to publish despite it working just fine prior. I just wanted to make some changes and add a webpage and haven’t had any issues till now. I’ve tried restarting the app, using it in the web browser, removing the most recent page, confirmed no errors. What can I do? I spent a long time on this site and now I cannot manage or maintain it.Thank you! 

Hello, I am working on some projects and whenever I try the prototype it freezes and the interactions are not working. No matter if I hide/unhide layers, clear figma cache, re-install figma, restart or update pc.It has been like that all day. The only interactions I have is open overlay, while hovering, click. Yesterday it was working properly.The project is very complicated to change the interactions and test if something is causing that issue although I dont think that’s the case.Does anyone face the same issue? Other users within the same project don’t have any issue.

Has anyone figured out how to publish the components in this tool kit? As a single user on the Pro Plan, this is the modal that pops up when you try to publish the components?   

I registered my user in educational figma, but even after confirmation my user is not as educational but on the free plan, how can I solve this? 

Hello,I’m working on a UI kit, and recently I noticed that a purple rectangle — similar to the one used for a component — appears on all my pages. It’s present everywhere, even on newly created pages, and it’s immovable and unselectable. When I hide another component on the same page, the rectangle disappears for about two seconds and then comes back.This is quite annoying, and I don’t know how to fix the issue. I’ve already checked several forums and your documentation but haven’t been able to find a solution.I hope you’ll be able to help me out! 

I am being charged for an additional full seat, however I cannot assign it to anyone without being charged an additional 20 dollars. In simple words—I have 1 extra full seat which I cannot assign to anyone. The chatbot is of no help. Very frustrating.

Hi everyone,I’ve noticed that Figma released their AI features over a year ago, and I was able to use them previously in my company’s Figma account. However, I’m not able to access these AI features on my personal account.Since the features are no longer in beta, I’m unsure why they aren’t available to me. Could this be related to account type, plan restrictions, or region availability? I have a design system Figma file with styles and components which are shared to another file.I created new styles and components in the Design System file and published the changes (I could see them in the list of updates).These new styles and components are not updating in my second file. I’ve read and tried all the community suggestions and nothing fixes the issue.Please help!  The whole purpose of shared [published] styles is for them to sync and auto-update in all associated douments

I just had a call with my dev where we realized he couldn’t see a style effect (shadow) I had added to an element, being in dev mode. It shows a filter. He had to go to design mode to see the style.We don’t get why, the whole point of dev mode is to communicate these things?Now we’re worried about how many times other devs with only dev mode might have missed styles, only seeing the raw values.Seems to be be connected with this, from 2024?By the way the number of “related topics” with all kinds of styles/tokens/variables not showing in dev mode is also worrying. 

I’m facing an issue with my published design system in Figma and would appreciate any help or insights.I’ve created a separate design system file that includes components and variables, and it has been published successfully. I’ve linked this published library to other Figma files, but the colors from the design system are not appearing correctly in the list or grid view within those files.Here’s what I’ve already tried based on suggestions:Re-publishing the design system file Re-linking the library in the affected files Checking for naming conflicts or duplicate styles Ensuring all styles are properly defined and published Clearing Figma cache and restarting the appDespite these efforts, the issue persists. If the published color variables don’t show up properly, it defeats the purpose of having a centralized system.Has anyone else experienced this or found a workaround?
