Education Verification Failed - New University Student (CIU)

Hello Figma Support,

I am transitioning from a Bootcamp student to a University student (Chittagong Independent University, Spring 2026).

I previously held the Education plan for the Google UX Certificate on an old account. I have now created this new account to continue my studies for my 4-year University degree.

The Issue: I am trying to apply for the Education plan on this new account, but the SheerID auto-verification is failing. I have my Official University Admission & Billing documents ready to prove my status.

Could a support specialist please contact me or help me verify this new account manually?

Just to clarify how this works on our side: education verification is handled entirely by SheerID, and we’re not able to manually review documents or verify accounts from Figma directly.

A couple of things to help move this forward:

  • Could you let us know what response you received from SheerID when the auto-verification failed? That will help us better understand where things might be getting stuck.

  • Please make sure you’re applying with the correct university-issued email address for your new school (Chittagong Independent University). The email domain needs to match your institution for verification to work.

  • If SheerID asks for documentation, they’ll need to review it directly. The best next step is to reply to SheerID or contact them again so they can take a closer look at your case. You can contact Sheer ID support by filling out this form here.
