Hi there, What’s the best way to build an interactive prototype with a grid where when you click on a cell, it selects it, and as you hold your mouse down and drag or hover over neighboring cells, it selects those too? Here’s what I need: Grid of cells that are unselected and have a hover state When you click on a cell, it selects it While still pressing down, move mouse over other unselected cells and select them Nice to have: Clicking on a selected cell and dragging mouse over other selected cells then unselects them The expected behavior for selecting is essentially how highlighting cells on Google Sheets works. I’ve uploaded a gif where I faked the prototype with “after delay”, but it’d be great to actually have an interactive prototype. Thanks!

Good community! I’m trying to display in the plugin interface the variables available in a file. The local variables do not give me any problem, but those that are available through an external library linked to the file, I can not get them to be displayed in the plugin interface. I just wanted to know if someone encountered this case or someone who can give me more light because I do not know if it is a limitation of the Api or something that I can not understand. Hi everyone, I’m requesting the restoration of a feature that used to allow entering percentage values directly in the size fields (width/height) of elements in Figma. This was super useful for responsive design and scaling elements efficiently. Unfortunately, this feature seems to have been removed, and now we can only input pixel values. Here’s a quick breakdown: Before, you could simply enter something like “50%” into the size field (which is especially handy for things like infographics), and the element would resize accordingly. Now, only pixel values are accepted, which slows down the workflow when working with dynamic or flexible layouts. Does anyone else miss this feature? If so, let’s get this noticed by the Figma team and hopefully bring it back!

Im asking “how” rather than “can we” because I am giving Figma the benefit of the doubt here. When I do figma.currentPage, it seems to only be able to interact with things inside the canvas. I want to interact with the entire app / ui. I want add a button in the design or prototype tabs. How can I do that?

Hi guys. When I make progress on my design file, I usually create a prototype and share the link with clients so they can experience the look and feel in real time. However, I recently discovered that clients can somehow access my actual working file through the prototype link. 😑 I want to share a prototype link that only shows the prototype, without granting access to my working file. Is that possible? I mean, it should be. Currently, clients need to request view permissions for the prototype, which is fine, but those permissions should apply strictly to the prototype link. After granting view permission, I noticed they can also access my working file, exposing all pages and work-in-progress areas. 😱🤯 Am I m

I have never given anybody editor permission and I have only ever signed up for the 1 seat for myself. Yet out of nowhere I have received a bill for $72 saying that I am using 3 seats. I can’t even find any settings to see where these seats are. Why am I being charged and how can I stop this?

Hello! I have a design library in which I created multiple local variable collections. However, when I try to use them in a design file (where the design library is enabled), I can only select modes from the first collection I’ve added (the rest don’t appear in the list). Do you know why the other collections do not appear in the “Layer/Change variable mode” list? NB I’ve published the changes made in the library and accepted all the changes in the design file. I have a Professional plan.

I’m new in Figma, but i want any vector image to scale when i drag the card. I don’t want the scale tool, i just want to know how do i make any vector image (in this case: those circles) to scale along the responsive card. In the third image i scaled manualy. Is the way i want it to look. How can i scale it down when i make the card smaller/wider.

Hi everyone, I’m having trouble with Figma – the website simply won’t load properly. Whenever I try to access the editing tools, it redirects me to this link: https://www.figma.com/files/team/1186737727119053674/recents-and-sharing/recently-viewed?fuid=1186737719431308147, and even if I remove everything after the “/”, it still takes me back to that page with a strange black screen. I’ve already tried configuring my browser, testing with two other browsers, and doing everything I could think of. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions, I would really appreciate it! I have paid the Figma Professional Plan in September 2024, until now I still can see that I am with free plan and can only create three projects. Can anyone tell me what to do? I tried to contact Figma team, I dont know when I can get feedback from them.

I found it today all of my files are gone, and can`t find it in the folder “Delete”, my account is empty
