I am experiencing ongoing issues with the SheerID verification process for my student account.

After submitting all required information, SheerID asks me to verify with a government ID. I have uploaded my passport multiple times, both in clear and high-quality images.

However, every time I submit, I receive the same response:

“We were unable to confirm your identity.”

I also contacted SheerID Support directly and explained the issue through their form, but unfortunately, they have not provided a solution. The problem persists even though my documents are valid, clear, and up to date.

This issue is preventing me from re-verifying my student account and accessing Figma Education benefits. Could you please review this case directly or provide me with an alternative way to verify my student status?

  • If your application was denied: submit an appeal directly to SheerID with additional documentation. Their team will review it and let you know if your status can be approved.

  • If you’ve already sent additional documents and SheerID says they can’t process them: reply to their email and CC education@figma.com so our Education team is aware.

Thank you for your response. I have already submitted my government ID multiple times, and I also appealed directly to SheerID with additional documentation. Unfortunately, I keep receiving the same response: “We were unable to confirm your identity.”

I also contacted SheerID through their support form, but they have not been able to resolve the issue. Since this is preventing me from re-verifying my student account, I am now reaching out for further assistance.

Could you please escalate this issue or provide an alternative way for me to verify my student status? I have valid enrollment proof and government ID, and I am happy to share them with your Education team if needed.


Now It’s showing that “Verification Limit Exceeded

This is the exact issue with me as well. SheerId keeps closing the ticket again and again. Whenever I am trying to verify, I get the message- “Verification Limit Exceeded
Not sure what to do now as only 2 days are left to verify

I havent been able to verify my account.I attempted to re-verify my Figma student account, but the system is now showing “Verification limit exceeded.” and it’s auto-rejecting my Id everytime I upload.

 

No contact has been made from SheerId side for manual verification. I have a college bonafide that proves I am a student. I dont know what else to do since only 1 days are left. No help has been provided from SheerId’s side since the very beginning. They just conveniently keep closing the tickets permanently.

Please look into this and do the needful.

This is quite frustrating as a user.
And contacting SheerId directly is leading to absolutely nothing. I have been trying this since the last 15 days and only 1 day is left now. I don’t know what to do.

Please help with resolving this before 29 September 2025
