Lately when having a figma file open, that is comprised of several pages , I suddenly (or randomly) get a “Loading” state on the screen, that redirects me to the very first page of the figma file after a moment. That means the designs, I am working with, cannot be watched for the duration I would need to effectively work with figma.

I enjoyed using Figma for a very long time, but this gets me incredibly frustrated, because it wastes so much of my time.

Hi @Kjell Sandkuhl,

I understand you're experiencing an issue where, while working in a file with several pages, you suddenly get a "Loading" state that redirects you to the very first page.

I haven't been able to replicate this issue so far, and I haven't found any similar reports, but I want to help.

First, to cover the basics, please double-check that your device has a reliable internet connection.

Also, please try these quick fixes:

  • Close any Figma tabs you're not actively using.
    • Browser: Force-quit your browser and open Figma in a new browser window.
    • Desktop App: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.

If the problem still persists, to allow our team to investigate this further, please submit a bug report via this form: Submit a request. You can also refer to this guide for more details: How to submit a bug report.

When you submit, please include the following information and this forum post URL in your report:

  • Is this happening only in your browser, only in the desktop app, or in both?
  • Is this issue happening in a specific file, or are you seeing it across all your Figma files? If it's happening in a specific file, please share the URL of that file and grant edit access to support-share@figma.com. (granting this access will not impact your billing.)

This will help us reproduce and investigate the problem more effectively.

Thanks,
