I named a component in Figma, the name was chinese. but when i export it as a svg file, the chinese id was garbled. How can i fix this bug? thanks everyone.

hi! i’ve a main component- which is a button. button consist of an icon (which is a component as well) + text. when i try to use the variable button, there is no way i can reduce the size of the icon. is the only way to do so is to create another same icon component but in smaller size? is it a common way to have a few icon size under design system? TIA!

During this period, I decided to activate a Figma Education account to support my learning process.This situation continued until I found a job opportunity, and now I no longer need the Education account. I’m doing some plugin development and have a figma document that has a couple libraries added to the file, and these libraries contain both variables and styles with different color values. I am trying to access the color values for all these variables and styles from both libraries programmatically via the plugin API. Ex:  Is this even possible currently? Or is there any workaround to access the color values associated with variables & styles from libraries associated with your document? I know the plugin has a teamLibrary API designed to work with library files, but I only see two available methods (getAvailableLibraryVariableCollectionsAsync and getVariablesInL

Hello,I was logged into an old school email, and after graduating recently, the institution deleted that email address. I wasn’t able to edit the email for the account and now, I cannot sign back in. Hi everyone,I recently lost access to my Google account, and unfortunately, this account was linked to my Figma profile, which contains several important projects that I desperately need to recover.Since I can no longer log in to Figma using that account, I’m hoping there’s a way to regain access to my projects. My animations work fine in the prototype preview but when I press “open in presentation view” none of the animations are working. I need this for sharing links on my portfolio and with clients, but I can’t seem to find a solution.

I am really dissatisfied with your support model. I don't understand the reason for all this disorder.Even though I submitted a ticket and confirmed that I have no outstanding balance—my dashboard clearly shows my balance as zero—you still went ahead and locked my account.Please resolve my issue as soon as possible. For some reason whenever I’m viewing my prototype, I’m seeing a white background over some parts of my designs. Not sure what’s the reason, but it’s consistent whether I’m viewing it on my desktop app or web app. I included an image of how it looks within the prototype view vs how it looks in the actual design.

We’ve filed support tickets concerning prototype malfunctions and performance issues in the past, but I’d love to hear how this is going for other teams. Basically we have a very complex prototype we use for user testing. Not a huge number of screens, but a lot of variables, conditional statements and some rather complex components. Performance is abysmal, and crashes are frequent. We’ve had everything from lagging and freezing to the “Something went wrong” error screen and, most recently, a “Prototype is too big for this device – Try viewing it on a computer” error message I hadn’t encountered before. This is on an iPhone 15. I’d love some feedback as to what makes it “too big”, or any other kind of pointers as to what might improve the situation and what others have tried. What is paste to replace? If I copy an instance inside an auto layout frame, then I want to past in the instance again...when I right-click the frame in the Figma left sidebar, the only option I am given is “paste to replace.” What??? I just simply want to past an instance inside of a frame. NOT replace the frame. C’mon Figma. This is not that hard.

While creating styles with linked variables, I noticed a lack of system status visibility. When you link a font size variable to a style and reopen the variable list, a blue bar appears, indicating the selected state.However, for line-height or letter-spacing, after linking the variables, reopening the list does not show any selected state.This creates confusion about whether the style is inheriting the variable from the current file or an external source. The issue is most noticeable when copying and pasting styles between different files. 

I need to export my frames to a multiple page PDF for print, but it keeps exporting into 1 single page. I have tried the “frames to pdf” already and it still exports in 1 page instead of 10 so the printer can’t work with it.

Is there a way to navigate to a variant of a separate component without creating an extra frame? So if I have a component set and I want it to navigate to another component set’s specific variant. I cannot think of a way to do this without creating bridge frame.😭

Hi, What is the distinct use case for the instant swap property? Is there a way to use it such that it reduces variants and instead you can bind asset variation to variables? I’m trying to improve performance for prototypes while adhering to requirements that assets be on the same page. I started using IS property but I’m now finding it less/not useful. I’m wondering are there distinct use cases for the IS property today? *Instance Swap

All my transparent background SVGs have got a solid black / white backgrounds for some reason - overnight. and this has happened to all my design files. I need them to be SVGs not transparent PNGs - since im working with vector designs. Any solution for this?

I work at company which deals with sensitive information. A common method used to keep information from leaking is refraining from using cloud services. Since Figma is a cloud based app, I’m unable to use it as most users normally do. It is pretty clear that Figma team decided to make it impossible to use Figma offline. As stated in their help docs, while offline you cannot " Create new files, or open files that you don’t already have open." This makes Figma unusable while offline. Many people out there would benefit from using Figma offline. I don’t see a reason to keep limiting the offline functionality as it currently is, so, Figma Team, please help a brotha out!

I’ve recently been trying to use the mobile app (iOS) to look at designs and prototypes as I’m creating them on my laptop—and I’m finding that the app is having serious trouble keeping up to date with edits I’m making.Some changes show up immediately but others don’t at all. They might be a color, size, or just about any change. Some specific things like constraints while viewing a prototype in Responsive mode seem to flip flop between a new and previous state. So after a few changes I have this franken-view of my design in the app that gets worse as I go.The most reliable way to get everything on the app to be current is making the app re-open the file. I’ve done this either by backing completely out of the file and re-opening it or switching between View File and View Prototype and back again. Both take a lot of time for something I shouldn’t even have to be thinking about.If nothing else, a Manual Refresh command would be very much appreciated. Really though

I created a book on Figma, and it has several A4 with designs on top. When I click “file” and export, it only export some items, but not the whole pages: The A4 are on the frame setting already, and all the designs are “grouped” together with the frame. Also, they’re connected in the prototype mode in the order the pages should be. How can I export all pages at
