Hi everyone, I'm currently learning components on UI3.The context is that I did create text property on component set (picture). However, when I tried to apply this to a specified element, I can't find the property. Can you help me with the reason, as well as solution ?Thank you in advance !  

The design is not rotated. This is happening on all my designs in my workspace.Figma is up to date, I just updated it this morning. Wed Nov 26 10:00 AM EST. I am using an Enterprise account with the Figma desktop app on a MacBook Pro (2023). The computer is also up to date and was restarted this morning. The internet connection and VPN are stable and strong.In this screenshot of my workspace, when I hover over the Auto Layout Gap value it is labeled as Horizontal gap even though it is a vertical gap in the visual design and the icon in the Gap field is a vertical gap icon.How do I fix this?This component is simply squares in a grid. Nothing else. It is not rotated. It’s just a square inside of other squares. This is happening on all frames in my workspace. And my colleague also can see it on their account from their separate computer (same model).Our design library has a set of variable values for vertical spaces and horizontal spaces.I would prefer to use the correct (vertical) variab

Hello,I am a teacher at a local art and design school in Barcelona, and I have been using Figma in my classes since 2016. In previous years, my students were able to verify their student status without any issues. However, this year they are unable to complete the verification process.Our students use separate institutional email accounts (G Suite) that are different from our main school domain. When they enter these email addresses, the system does not allow them to verify their student status.Could you please advise us on how to resolve this issue?Thank you very much for your help.

I can’t verify my account for education plan via college fees receipt as my college don’t provide education email id , even sheer id don’t help me    [attachment redacted by forum moderator to remove PII]

I am a university student with the Educational Plan but unable to locate any kind of AI feature like ‘Edit Image’ or ‘Create Image’ using Nano Banana. While doing some research, I asked the Figma bot about this and it said that this is only available to paid users and not students. But as per the Figma article, uni students get the professional plan and this plan should support AI features, so why is this not available to me? I’m trying to import two large Figma files one is about 460 MB and the other around 750 MB. The import process stays in the “importing” state for a while, but the files never finish importing. On the import pop-up, when I click “Open in new tab,” nothing happens (using Figma Desktop). I tried doing this in both desktop and Chrome browser.Eventually, I get an error saying: “Figma server is unavailable—wait a bit and try again.”It’s been 3 days that I’ve been facing this issue. I am unable to share Figma make prototype to Anyone and its restricted to within the organization. While this is enabled for Figma design files , is there some restrictions on Figma make?

I’m on a Professional Plan and I’d like to give edit access to one of my clients. Unfortunately, it says that “an admin needs to update his seat”, but I’m the owner of the file, I’m the admin. I don’t want to give my client edit access to my whole team, just to this file.Can you help me understand how to give the edit access just to one file? Thanks.

Hi everyone,I’m having issues activating my Figma Education license, and I’m hoping someone from the Figma team can help.My student verification was approved by SheerID on September 25, and they confirmed that there is nothing more I need to do on their side. However, I never received any activation or confirmation email from Figma, and my account is still stuck on the Free plan.My university email (which I used for verification) is a Neptun-based address that automatically forwards to my personal inbox. I cannot access the original mailbox directly, so it’s possible that the activation email was not forwarded correctly. Unfortunately, I have not received any message — not even in spam.I have already sent multiple emails to Figma support and to the education@figma.com address, but I haven’t received any reply yet.I really need access to the Education plan for my university studies and ongoing coursework, so this is becoming quite urgent for me.Could someone from the Figma team please l

I honestly think Figma Sites would be far more valuable if it focused on becoming a true prototyping environment instead of a limited site builder.  Presenting prototypes in Figma is still messy:– The Figma UI gets in the way.– We end up sharing long, awkward prototype links.– We need separate URLs for desktop, mobile, and tablet versions.– There’s no real responsiveness — everything feels rigid.– And the final result still looks and behaves like a simulation, not a real product. Figma Sites could fix all of this if it became a staging environment for design:A simple, clean place to present work. No distractions. One single link. Real responsiveness. A space where stakeholders can actually experience the product, not just look at frames. Am I the only one who thinks this would be useful? 

What is the correct Android frame size? Earlier it was 360w, but now Figma shows 700w for medium devices. Which one should we use?

Github integration issue with FIGMA MAKE

Hi, We are using Figma for Jira on Jira Cloud.We plan to use Jira Cloud in a network-segmented environment.Please provide the list of firewall rules (domains/IPs) that need to be allowed so that the plugin can function properly.

Tonight after updating the desktop app to the latest version Figma Desktop App version 125.10.5 (happens in the beta and web browser as well) on macOS Tahoe when I create a variable collection and then subsequently create another one I seem to get into a weird state. When I create the first variable it creates the collection.If I create another collection the collection name becomes editable. So I name it.What happens though is that it renames the first collection I created instead of the new collection (second collection).The collection droplist updates to show there are two collections.When I click the droplist is shows the collection I gave a name to (the first collection) and “Collection 2”.  Collection 2 is empty.The named collection has the variable that is required in order to make a collection. So that is all weird and not right. Previously when I clicked on “Create new collection” it would switch the collection view to a blank one and then allow me to add my variables. I have

I’m trying to build a Figma plugin to swap text styles from a library to another. Old styles and new styles have 1:1 mapping. My plugin knows all the mapping and was able to identify all the old styles in a file, but couldn’t swap with the new styles from another library. Cursor told me it’s because:“Figma’s public Plugin API currently only exposes methods to read “local” resources—things that already exist inside the file the plugin is running in. For text styles, the only available getter is figma.getLocalTextStyles(), which returns styles that are part of the document itself.”Is this true? Has anyone built anything that can apply text styles from another library?

My Make prototype was working fine today until about an hour ago (around 1:20pm MST). It seems all API calls to my Supabase db are now failing. I’m seeing this in my browser console:Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALIDfollowed by a TypeError: Failed to fetchNothing has been updated or changed in my db for the past 24hrs. I’m seeing traffic come through in Supabase logs but my frontend isn’t connecting. Please help, this is URGENT!
