Session Timed Out, Login Loop

Diane Dear

Stuck in an endless loop of trying to log into my desktop app, redirecting to browser, signing in there and being sent back to app, app says ‘Session Timed Out, Log In With Browser’. 

I’ve removed and reinstalled the app, my laptop IOS is up to date, I’ve cleared cache, I’ve made sure it’s the only account signed in, I’ve restarted my laptop.

I can see that you’ve already reached our Support team (#1723718) and that support looped in our Technical Quality team now to take a closer look and investigate what’s causing this.

 

For anyone else who might run into the same issue, support recommends double-checking the following while the team investigates:

 

Try a different login approach:

  1. Make sure you're logged out of Figma completely in both the desktop app and all browser windows
  2. Try logging in to figma.com in your browser first
  3. Once successfully logged in through the browser, then open the desktop app

 
If that doesn't work, let's check account consistency:

  • Ensure you're using the exact same login method (email/password, Google SSO, etc.) in both the browser and desktop app (read more)
  • If you have multiple Figma accounts, make sure you're logging into the same account in both places (read more)
