i choosed the optionn ”everyone with the link can edit”. when  sending the link to the persons they cant edit, they must setup an account! whats this, why lie with this option?? thansk for wasting my time.

Hi, I have 5 of the same component stacked inside an auto layout, which works fine. However, when I replace one of these components with one of its instances which is taller, the auto layout does not grow/expand to make room for the instance in the stack. Instead, the content of the instance ends up being overwritten by the component below it. I have searched for a solution to what must be a common issue but have come up empty handed. Hey community! Does anyone have experience or tips on how to efficiently post Figma designs directly to social platforms? I find the process a bit cumbersome. Would love to know if there’s a faster solution or any plugin that eases the process.

I think I searched as well as I can but I am not sure what the name of the tooling needed is… I want my Red dash stroke to follow the Orange dash stroke so that the red rectangle follows the number dash stroke tooltip (hugs inside). The inverse of what is happening in the green tooltip above with the large rectangle surrounding the number tooltip (hugs outside).

Hello community,I was today starting with Figma and when I launched my very first “New design file” the tool offered to my a kind of interactive template in which I could choose to work on an app for different purposes (finance, travel, social and so on). I could mouseover on topic and then see a first design below.Then I hit F and the the frame menu opened on the right and the interactive thing was gone. Does anyone know how to get back this interactive template which was maybe part of the quick start tutorial?Funnily I created a second account to get it back and it did not re-appear in the second account 🙈Thanks for any hint. Cheers, Andreas

Does this happen to anyone else? It’s literally killing my eyes and brain.Ever since they introduced UI3, depending on what you click on, basic information like position, layout, appearance and other key information moves around. So, every time you click on something new your eyes have to become used to the new position before you get to do anything.Those microseconds are very taxing for people that work 10 hours per day, every day on Figma.I thought it was just because I hadn´t adjusted to the new UI but it has been months now. Its 7 PM and my eyes are completely destroyed after a full day of work.Please help us fix this. Please. This is not good UX. Way too much mental and physical load.

Hi all, I’m trying to have a multi-action within my prototype where once someone selects an option within my dropdown, (setup as “saved reports=Expanded” - and is the 2nd of 3 variants) two things happen: Change to (From “Saved reports=Expanded” → “Saved reports=Selected”) Navigate to (“example-frame-1”) The first action works as expected, but when it comes to the navigating to the new frame, Figma just doesn’t do it. The option to select “Navigate to” is there so I’m assuming this is either a bug, or I need to select something that I’m not seeing. (see attached screenshot of Interactions) Can someone please help? I have a main menu on mobile. It has 4 variants. (menu type: general or admin and state: open or closed)Within the main menu there are several dropdown menus, all their own component with two variants: open or closed.The goal is this: whichever menu variant the user starts from (general or admin) I want the dropdown to 1. navigate them to the correct page, which it doesand 2. close the main menu.. not just ‘change to’ closed which only closes itself.I’ve been trying to create some sort of conditional statement to make this work but I’m having a heck of a time. Anyone know how to do this?I’ll add a visual.  

After publishing the component library, sometimes and in some places that are using these elements, they are completely broken and when clicking on them they return to normal, so I believe it is a bug. Has anyone reported something similar? Does this have a solution? It ends up disrupting the daily workflow.I've already done the troubleshooting reset and reloaded the window

Hello, Is there a way that I can convert this into a vector but keep the gradient color scheme? This mechanical gear is part of my company logo and I noticed after I converted the PNG into a vector image that it changed all the colors to black.   I would appreciate any help I could get with this.   

Sometimes when I resize or move a line, Figma will reposition the line from an x value of 100.5px to 101px.Stop doing that! It makes the lines blurry and I need to change its position back to 100.5 by hand. Very annoying!Turning off ‘Snap to Grid’ is not what I need. I do want things to snap to the pixel grid in the dimension that I’m resizing not the other dimension. For example if I’m resizing a line in the horizontal direction, do not change its vertical position. 

I am trying to make a calendar component, which is using an instance of a date component with variants (default and hover) for each date of the month. I need to define a variable based on which date instance that is clicked in the hover state - so I am refining the interaction for each date in the month component. When this is done, and I set the state back to default and refresh Figma, the interaction in hover state is reset back to the interaction from the original date component. Is there a way around this, if I need to be able to add interactions to hover state instances? 

I cannot open this menu on the canvas, only when I go to the layer menu. I tried to close and open, restart, reload the tab… nothing.

It does not show me the Figma AI button in the toolbar below, I am with the new Beta UI3 interface and with a Professional plan account, I have activated the AI Features option, however it still does not show the Fgma AI button in the Toolbar. How can I solve this problem?

I’m recreating a simple animation that I originally made in code, but using just Figma Interactive Components with the newer delay functions. In the GIF below, you can see that the ripple effect expands and fades onClick which is expected. Then the same ripple is shown to circle back the animation to the beginning of the sequence. However, on the second run through of the prototype, the ripple doesn’t animate and just appears, which seems unexpected. Everything works when restarting the prototype.

Any updates on this issue? The nav 2 and nav 3 switch back to the Nav 1 title when using the variable to control the state: (on mouse down, set the variable of the state of nav2 and nav3 to default) - any way around this?(this is a test file) Button is a component within the nav bar component After buttons 2 and 3 switch to the language of Nav 1 (beginning state, no overrides), if i mouse over those buttons they do go back to the Nav 2 and 3 titles, its the initial state that goes back to the original instance labels thanks for any help on this...

Hello, everybody!Figma somehow created 3000 empty rectangles. Some are grouped even, which causes weird thing when I copy or move some parts. But also I just cant’ understand when and how 3000 empty rectangles were created and haw to delete them manually. Any ideas what is it? 

I have built a drop-down list with variants so that works properly in the prototype. Now, I want to show a different frame depending on the selection made from the drop-down, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to make that work in the prototype.

I am trying to use Figma as my main software to produce my designs. But my frames are being exported with a bad resolution from Figma. Exporting as PNG and even using 2X is not getting the full resolution as I see on Figma. Anyone with the same issue?

Here’s the scenario/problem:I just made an update to a variant within a component in my master library and actually did so to about 8 components. But in my Design File I don’t get a visual indicator to tell me that these updates occurred until I take the steps to switch to a different variant on each one. What I expected...  To see in an icon on my Assets library And then the Icon is displayed, so I know I have an update After clicking that icon I get taken here and see all my 8 components here -- so that I can update them all at once:     Instead I have to go to each component and change the variant to s

Is there color selector shortcut? Not I or control CI would like to find whole color selector from right side property panel.Whenever I want to select some color to apply, every single clicking the right color icon is annoying.
