I’ve noticed that when I make changes to a main component, some overrides in its instances don’t update as expected. This is causing inconsistencies in my designs, and I’m not sure if it’s a bug or something I’m missing in the workflow. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on keeping component updates consistent across all instances would be really helpful.

We’re currently experiencing an issue with one of our design files. It keeps showing the “Almost out of memory” notification even after we already optimized and split our projects into smaller files.What’s odd is that this issue happens only with one specific file. We have other files that are just as large—or even larger—and they don’t trigger any memory warnings at all.We’ve already tried: Splitting components into separate files Reducing unused layers Clearing version history Restarting and clearing cache But the warning still shows up for this one file.Could you please help us identify what might be causing this, and if there’s anything on your end that can be checked or reset?Thank you!

Hello!At our workplace the rightside panel that allows you to see the design options is missing from all Figjam docs, old and new. It shows up in slides, but disappears when viewing as a grid. We have tried show/hide UI and are using the desktop app. Is this a new update or a glitch? we miss the sidebar and would like it back :( image of sidebar that is missing 

Hi team, I’ve began using Figma Sites this week and having a consistent issue of my previews not loading at all, either on the desktop app or on Browser. This is persistent and ONLY affecting Sites - I am having no issues with previews in Make, etc.I have Reset and Restarted Figma, uninstalled and redownloaded the app too, to no avail.Is this a common issue or is there something specific going wrong here? 

Many elements in my designs have been breaking and disorganzing for no apparent reasonFrames set to “Fill width” appearing as “Hug,” Auto-layout alignment changing by itself When I InsertComponents from my design system libary some design element from it get disorganized when inserted into myself, but works perfectly well in my design system Libary Please Kindly Help its affecting me seriously and its getting really annoying

In the keynote, the left navigation is mostly discussed in tandem with the “extended collections” feature, which I believe is only available to enterprise. However, I’m interested in the new, full screen variables panel that’s included with the new left nav panel since it makes it much easier to get a complete picture of a design system token set. Is this UI element going to be rolled out to everyone, or only enterprise users? If yes, when’s the target roll out?

Why I don't have figma AI tool after one year? how should I get it?

In the desktop version of Figma, ALL the images have disappeared from ALL my projects. The frames are still there, but they are empty. However, everything is working fine in the browser version. I've tried restarting, uninstalling, and reinstalling Figma, but nothing has worked. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

Hello everybody, Issue description:I have problem with Figma which is stopping be from using Figma as I experience crashes almost every time I try to scale or move any frame. It does not seem to be related to complexity of the design file as it happens on both projects which contain 3 frames and 2 components and projects which are much more complex (tens or hundreds of layers). This occurs regardless whether I use browser app or desktop app.The error messages I get are mostly ‘Something went wrong, reason: crashed’ or something what seems like ID of the object I was manipulating (even when it is just one blank frame).Around one year ago, I have never had a Figma crash, but since around last 6 months it happens all the time.My specs are:Geforce RTX 4080 Intel I-9 -14900HX 32 GB RamWhat I tried:Two days ago I even reinstalled my operating system (Windows 11) but crashes keep happening even more often I would say. When looking at components in Dev mode you can see code snippets for Layout and Style.Sometimes double clicking to select a line and copying it over to a code editor shows that a bunch of extra text was selected and copied. Super frustrating.The workaround is to carefully select by hand, also super frustrating.I think the issue is prominent on the last line in the code previews. Lines further up work ok, but the last line always copies more than the line itself.Here is a gif demonstration of the issue: 

Corner Smoothening acts wierd and breaks when custom borders are added (1,1,1,0) or any combination. 

When publishing my Figma Sites website, since today Firefox (Desktop) will flip the content order of my site – so the last element is displayed first, and so on. That’s neither the case in any other browser (such as Safari or Opera) nor in Firefox on mobile, nor in the preview in Figma Sites. But i tried it out on Mac and Windows. Seems to be a global Firefox Desktop problem. Why is that?

I am trying to activate the Figma Student Plan using my student ID from SLTC Research University (Sri Lanka). However, the verification system is not accepting my name due to the initials format used on our student IDs.The name on my student ID appears as:W.D.G. RanjanaThis format represents my initials followed by my surname. Therefore:First Name: W.D.G.Last Name: Ranjanaso when i use this format system fails to identify my name. I’ll attach the error i got here. I tried to contact both Figma support and SheerID through mails but didn’t got response. Kindly assist with manual verification of my student status or, solution to fix this issue is much appreciated.

I am generating badge.figma.ts using figma code connect but it only detects label no other properties like Type (Undefined, etc.) Label (true/false) Neutral (true/false) No max. width (True/False) Variant (Rounded, etc.) Size (Small, Medium)are not getting generated in badge.figma.ts file, why?figma.connect("link to figma file",{props: {label: figma.string("✏️ Label"),},example: (props) => html`<badge />`,},) 

I have polished an existing design using Figma make and I have done only 3 iterations. However when I try to copy it and bring it to Figma to do some customizations it just keeps saying its copying as design layers, for about 20 minutes. Is there a way to resolve this?

How do you sync the changes being done in one copy of the screen to other copies on different pages? I tried making the component out of screen but then it loses it’s floating name on the top left.

So, variables are one of the most important functionalities in Figma, but the plugin API doesn’t help developers when it comes to variables, basically, there is no way for an open plugin to know when a user create, remove, reorder, or edit a variable or variable collection. Even though, this is possible with styles, which are less important and common than variables.If the document change event doesn’t include variable changes, then how an open plugin is supposed to get this information?Why variable changes haven’t been added to the document change event until now?@James_Yang I mentioned you as I always find you answers insightful​     

Good day, Figma team,I have been a user of Figma in my classroom for several years and have appreciated the Education plan for myself and to be able to grant access to students.At the beginning of the semester, I was advised to re-verify my education plan. I was successful at doing so. While we experienced some challenges with verification on the student side, most students have successfully verified. Unfortunately, some students remain stuck in the SheerID support loop.Most recently, students are receiving expiration notices even after successfully verifying their account via SheerID. Additionally, they are being advised to purchase the plan for $20/month, which is not equitable for our student population.While searching my account, I confirmed that my education verification status remains and I am now being presented with invoice information.To date, I have reached out to Figma via chat for an account review, emailed education@figma.com, and now posting to the forum.Is there anything

When using the regular workspace in Figma, I have access to plugins.   Like the QT export plugin. I created a UI using the AI Make tool but the plugins are not avilable in that workspace.   How can I move the UI Created in Make to the regular workspace so I have access to the plugin?   Is taking a screen shot of it and opening it in regular Figma the best option? Thank you.  New to Figma here.  

I have tried to subscribe professional plan with paying monthly, but the system doesn’t allow to select CAD, since I am from Canada. After completing the credit card info. I got a message “ Your plan was previously playing to USD, and therefore must conitnue to pay in USD. Please confirm your payment information works for USD.”Could you please reset it for me? Thanks.
