Hi all, Question 1: I’m recently working on a project using Figma Make AI which helps me a lot. I was wondering if I can somehow transfer the project that generated by Figma Make to Figma Design, so I can keep polishing the project even after I used all AI Credits for Figma Make. Question 2: I was watching Youtube tutorial on creating app on Figma Design using First Draft but unfortunately I do not have that option from my end. How can I apply for that function? Thanks!

Hi. My minimal usecase:Layer 1 with a path with endpoint 1 and endpoint 2.Layer 2 with a path with endpoint 1 and endpoint 2. How can I snap enpoint 1 of layer 1 to endpoint 1 of layer 2 please? Thanks.

In Figma Make, how do you delete extra or empty files from the code tree? I can’t delete them or prompt the AI to delete them successfully. I’d like to make sure they do not confuse future prompts.

Hi there. To create my prototype, I am cutting and pasting a lot of images into my Frames. Currently on one of my Parent Frames, I created a child Frame to import an image. I was finally able to get all the content in however, there is a big gap to the left - please see attached. I would like all content to be preserved and just expand the width. Does anyone have an idea of what I can do? I will be doing a lot of cutting and pasting into frames. So If someone has a clean step by step process of how I can easily insert an image, keep all contents and expand it to the parents length that would be amazing. I am all ears. I spent a full day trying to solve this problem, which is probably a simple fix :) Many Thanks, Susanne

What is the most frustrating or repetitive task you encounter in Figma that you wish could be automated with a plugin, but you haven't found a good solution for yet?

i designed a web page without auto layout because i need to apply parallax effects. when i hand off the project to developer. everything works well except the responsiveness. sometimes it shows every objects in a right place in some screens, but in some different screens the objects and layout deformed and do not behave well. i also apply right constraints to each objects and frames but it doesn’t work. anyone can help me with that? here's a stage link: https://stage.creatorsclass.co/fa/about

Download code button I spotted the "Download Code" option in the upper right corner of the editor, but I noticed that there is no "package.json" file. Is there any documentation or a way to run these projects locally using my own IDE?

My wife let me have a go of Figma for the first time on her work computer. i had lots of fun and made an app. So I just signed up to figma so I can make more stuff. I would like to fine tune my app and release it from my own account BUT, the files is restricted because its on her work computer. Is there a way I get around this without having to start from scratch? I put a whole day into it. I am using MAKE. Yes I am an idiot for not seeing this problem coming!!!

Issue: Components created with responsive variables in a shared library do not adapt when used in a separate design file. Steps to reproduce: Create components in the library using responsive variables. Insert those components into a separate design file. Switch the containing frame between mobile and desktop sizes. Observed behavior: The components do not respond to frame size changes. Expected behavior: The components should adapt responsively, just as they do when created directly in the separate design file. Hello! I have heard that you are about to update your bootcamp verification process starting September 23th. Starting September 23, self-verification of bootcamps will no longer be available, and an administrator will need to confirm the bootcamp and then grant access to students and instructors. I have the following questions: 1. If my company uses Figma as an online course rather than a bootcamp, do these updates apply to me? 2. Where can I find more detailed information, namely which organizations will be granted access, how the student and teacher confirmation process will work, and other details? Thank you in advance!

Hi all. I have a couple of frames that have placed image in. I want to export as .svg format. I can see the image in the preview and on the preview of the .svg. But when I open the .svg in adobe illustrator the image isnt there and just should a blank box… Any ideas? It worked fine in sketch before.

I’m trying to build a prototype where a number will change based on some randomization. The idea is I have my Total number variable, and my Modifier number variable which are added together to update the Total. I’d love for the Modifier number variable to pull randomly from a list. It seems the best way to do this is to use a randomizer plugin that updates a text field from a list, but then I can’t figure out how to get the Modifier variable in my variable settings to use that number. Also open to totally different ways to solve / try this if it gets to the same result of having a base value that can be randomized within certain parameters. Thanks so much!

Hi all, I am creating a symbol language with vector graphics of various irregular shapes, set into diamond-shaped frames. Question 1: What is the best way to regularize the sizing of these graphics? As you can see, I can’t really set a regular height or width, as the shapes take all different forms, and some are wider while others are taller. What you see above is eyeballed, but as I’m aiming to get these printed (like a deck) I really want to do best practices here and figure out a more accurate method. Question 2: Once that question is answered, the question of spacing comes up. For the above, that’s relatively easy if you want to set them centered, but if two (or more) symbols are on a diamond, then their shapes again are irregular and therefore center-snapping doesn’t work. Does anyone know of a way to do promise-based messaging between the plugin and the UI? (@Gleb 🙂) Using the globals: parent.postMessage(...) → figma.ui.onmessage → figma.ui.postMessage(...) → window.onmessage can lead to spaghetti code… promises would be so much cleaner. I'm pretty new to Figma and this is my first time creating a prototype. I have my nav bar fixed to the bottom and I'm having issues creating scroll-to interactions for my menu when it's expanded. I have a components frame where I added variants for my bottom nav: default and its expanded state. I dragged the bottom nav component to my home page frame and was able to add some navigate-to interactions without issue. But when I try adding a scroll-to interaction (so when the user clicks Contact, it scrolls down to that section of the page), nothing happens. I suspect it's likely due to the nav bar being fixed, but I really don't know any way around this. My nav bar needs to be fixed, so I'm hoping someone might have some suggestions?

I tried centering the transform origin and applying a new frame, but the same issue persists ;( The strange thing is that the small button moves to the left even though the coordinates are the same. Even though the constraints are set to the center. My AI says this issue occurs because Figma aligns elements to the top left. How can I fix this?

Hello everyone, I'm developing a FigJam plugin and have encountered an issue when trying to access the children of a SectionNode. The behavior seems to depend on the section's lock state, and I'd like to understand if there's a way to get the children even when the section is locked. I've tested the following scenarios using the code snippet below: 1. Section not locked: I can successfully get the children. 2. Lock background only: I cannot get the children. The node.children property returns an empty array. 3. Children placed on the section and then the section is locked (Lock all): I can successfully get the children. 4. Section locked (Lock all) and then children are placed on it: I cannot get the children. I'm specifically looking for a way to get the children in scenarios 2 and 4. Is there a specific API or method to achieve this? Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
