I’m pretty sure the real answer is “don’t set up your components that way” :P but I thought I’d ask in case its a bug.I have an open branch with a main component, and I copied an instance of that component over into another branch, both under the same master. (Branches will remain unmerged until the dev work is complete.)When I click “Go to main component,” instead of taking me to the branch with the main component, it just drops me on the first page of the master file.Is it because it’s bad practice to reuse components across unmerged branches--they don’t count until they are merged and published? Or is this a bug and it should be able to take me to the branch containing the main component?

I’m trying to clean up how shared configuration data is handled in a Unity project and wanted to sanity-check my approach.For things like gameplay tuning values, item definitions, and balance parameters, I’ve seen both of these patterns used: Static data classes with constants or readonly fields ScriptableObjects used as data containers, referenced by systems at runtime I understand the general benefits of ScriptableObjects (serialization, inspector editing, asset reuse), but I’m less clear on the tradeoffs once a project grows in size — especially around testing, version control, and runtime safety. In practice, when do you consider static data classes the better option, and when do ScriptableObjects clearly scale better?

Hello, I am currently working on a grocery delivery app. This is one of my first projects, so I do apologise if this is something silly to ask.I am kind of stuck on the prototype phase, where I am trying to enable the user to pick a day and time for the food shop delivery.What I want from the design is:when user selects a time slot for a certain day, I’d like to swap the text “Pick a delivery slot” to an interactive button “Continue with selected slot” (I’d ideally also like that button to say, which day and time it is, but I can’t even get it working on its own) highlight the selected time box.So far I’ve tried:creating a component (time box, like £0.50 or free or X - see attached image) and telling it to turn orange when tapped, that works okay  I used that component in my variants with the whole frame with the times (see image - everything but the “time” column) - it works fine I tried adding an overlay, when same button tapped, however unless I select “close when clicking outside”,

Hello! While trying to publish a new version of the plugin we were asked to add 2fa to our hello@viewst.com account to get the possibility to publish a new version of the plugin.  But after we add it and try to publish a new version, we get a new error message "We detected a change to your account details. Please contact support@figma.com to proceed" that blocks our possibility to publish a new version with fixes of our plugin.  And now we are stuck in this state for 2 weeks and couldnt publish fix to plugin (case plugin account inst paid one and we cant reach support, and our primary paid account couldnt get help while its different account issue)What could be our next steps to resolve it?

I have this figma file that has an animation in it. I want the animation to be converted into a lottie animation for my react-native app but I am stuck since only the first frame is getting covered. What shall I do?In both prototyping play and preview mode, I get the full animation, the problem happens when I try to create a Lottie file for this...

Hi guys, may i know where to get the web link, because we want to transfer the ownership of all folder project figma to new company account. I’ve read all documentation still no clue how to get the link.  

I would like to use Figma Make to prompt the creation of slides that I can use for a presentation. Usually what is first generates is in the right direction, but I want to be able to then edit directly on the slides (i.e. without vibe coding). Is that possible? If so, do I need to move it into Slides first? How do I do that? Thanks! 

I’ve been doing a form mockup using the Atlassian Design system, and I’ve encountered the following error when viewing it as a prototype, involving the drop down menu element.The field looks normal before hovering over it.It shrinks to this width when I hover.It returns to the correct width when clicking, but the text in the field defaults back to the default text that the component has when you first place it.I’ve tried switching the states to define the width as “Fill” for each of them, but it doesn’t carry over to the prototype view. I’m also have the same width issue with date picker fields when hovering over the as well.Is there any way to correct this?

I can’t seem to find a way to turn off the red measurement tool. If I go to View > Hide UI it does remove it, but it also removes other side navigation components that I need available.   

Hello guys, I’m trying to activate the Figma Education plan but I’m stuck:  Attempting to verify shows “Verification Limit Exceeded.” I reached out to SheerID, and they responded they were unable to process my request and that the ticket is permanently closed. So I can’t retry from their side.  I also tried to email Figma education team but still got no response at this point.  Thank you so much   

I am not able to publish plugin for free on figma community as on “Add Final Details” tab there is one mandatory Price field which is disables and no option is visble to turn off the Price field, so I am stuck on that last stage not able to move forward, can anyone help me? in manage plugin next to it only "Development" is written and I have all the code files in my local machine

Hi,  Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere - couldnt find it.  I’ve made a Figma Site in my Professional account. I now need to transfer this Figma Site over to their Professional account so they can edit, add cms entries, publish etc from their account.  This is relatively straightforward in webflow - but i’m struggling to see how to do it in Figma. Surely its possible?? note: I appreciate I can download the fig file and send, but it wont include the CMS collections. Surely theres a way of transfering the Figma Site and its CMS collections to a different user account? 

I need a template that shows the date, company name, contact name, phone #, email , address, notes   

Hey, Figma Community!Recently I had to update my button and add icons on both sides. It had only left icon before and we already used it in our designs in many places, not long ago I was in need for button with icon on right, so I decided to update my initial component, which led to losing most of the defined icons, they returned to placeholder icon in the component. Could someone help, what could be a reason and how to avoid it in the future?button propertiesreset icon in the buttonIt happened to all button with label, but not all icon-only buttons. We have these icon colors set up for different button types.  But when I switch the size of the button(XS, S, M, L), these icon colors are retaining for the two of the sizes but for the other two sizes the colors are not retaining for the icons.

I’m working in Figma Slides (Drafts), not a regular Page.I have an image applied as an Image Fill on a rectangle inside a slide.I want to place another rectangle (overlay) on top of that image, but when I use Bring to front, nothing changes.Since Slides mode does not show a full layer panel, I can’t tell which parent frame the shapes are in, or how to move the overlay into the same hierarchy as the image.I’m not trying to layer across slides — only within the same slide.What is the correct way to overlay a shape on top of an image in Figma Slides when layer structure is hidden?
