Figma Config Scholarship Accidental Submit

Ryan S

I was working on my scholarship application for Config, and I wanted to go through all the pages to see what other questions/prompts I had to answer in the future pages. I put in default responses like “This is a test.” so that I could bypass the required fields. I did not realize that after the page that asks you about potential allergies is the last page of the application. The “next” button turned into “submitting.”

I have been searching all weekend to find who to contact through the forums and “chat with Fig” and none of these resources have helped me. I know the application closed on Jan 31 and I’m a worried that I will be overlooked.

Who can I contact to update my responses?

I finished all my responses ahead of time, and made a genuine mistake. I was really looking forward to attending Config and having the opportunity to afford meeting this community of folks that are creators.

Hey @Ryan S, I can’t promise an outcome, but I’ve raised this internally with the team to see if there’s anything that can be done in your case. I’ll follow up here as soon as I hear back. Thanks for your patience in the meantime!

Thank you @Gayani_S for pushing forward my issue! In the meantime, is there a direct email that you can provide so I can contact someone directly? I want to be kept in the loop and not left waiting in the dark.

@Gayani_S Please raise my request also if possible. Will be very helpful.

Hey @Ryan S, I’ve gone ahead and created a support ticket on your behalf.

Your ticket number is #1729222, for reference. Our support team has just sent you an email with a few questions, so please reply there when you’re able. This will help them move things forward.

Thank you,

Gayai

Hey @Rahul Bhavariya, to make sure I raise this correctly with the team, could you share a bit more about what happened on your end? Were you able to submit the scholarship application, or did something go wrong during the process?

Once I have a little more context, I’ll be able to help out!

Rahul Bhavariya

@Gayani_S Thankyou so much for your time!

I was fortunate to receive approval for my scholarship application in 2025; however, due to an unexpected delay in my visa process, I was unable to attend the conference in person. Unfortunately, I also missed the opportunity to submit my application this year. However I requested figma team on 4th Feb 2026.

I would be sincerely grateful if you could consider granting me one more opportunity. Attending the conference would be extremely valuable for me, and I am genuinely excited about contributing meaningfully and making the experience productive.

Hey @Rahul Bhavariya, thank you for sharing the context! I can see that you’ve already submitted a support ticket ( #1726209), and I’ve shared your request internally with the team for review. They’re aware of your situation, and someone should be in touch with you soon to follow up.

Appreciate your patience in the meantime!

Rahul Bhavariya

Thank you so much @Gayani_S and the team. Really appreciate your valuable time on this.

If you accidentally submitted your Config scholarship with placeholder answers, there is no way to edit it yourself after submission. The only path is through Figma Support. You should respond to the support ticket they opened for you (#1729222) and explain your mistake clearly. Figma’s team will review your case internally and decide if they can allow an update. There is no direct bypass.
