Hi!Figma AI is not availablein my Figma Design tool bar:

I was trying to delete a text style in Figma slides, and couldn’t figure it out at all. Until I accidentally move the popover to discover there’s actually two popover. The one on top is covering the one on the bottom with the delete button. Figma, you might want to fix this, seems like a glaring bug.

Hey everyone—I’m working on a Figma plugin that helps with Arabic and English interfaces. One issue I keep running into: I can’t figure out how to detect or set the text direction (like right-to-left for Arabic). The plugin API doesn’t seem to have anything like textDirection, and I’ve tried checking the characters in the text manually, but it’s messy—especially when the text mixes Arabic and English, or has numbers and punctuation. I just want to know if there's any way, even a workaround, to know whether a text node is RTL or LTR, and ideally control it from the plugin. Has anyone dealt with this before? Thanks inadvance!

I had a component named "Button" I made some drastic changes to it not realizing that it was used a lot throughout our designs, and my changes will probably affect the existing designs Didn't publish any changes to the library yet So I renamed the component to "Button new", and copy pasted the old unchanged version of that component from the version history, called "Button" Now if I publish the changes, will it break all my instances of "Button", or will they remain intact and I will simply have a new component of "Button new?

Hi!I have always used the free version of Figma and had no problem giving other people editing rights and collaborating on projects.Recently, I bought the pro plan to access dev mode. Now I don’t seem to be able to give anyone editing rights without paying for their seat.Is it true that as a pro user I can’t have people editing my file without paying for an extra seat? Or am I just doing something wrong?Thank you in advance!:)

In between my groups there seems to be black lines on the prototype but when I look at my design they are no where to be found

Hi! I saw a prototype where clicking on a circle inside an Auto Layout made it expand horizontally, and the other elements next to it were pushed automatically — no frames, no manual resizing. Just Auto Layout and Variants. What am I missing to make the expanding circle push the other elements inside the Auto Layout using Smart Animate?Thanks! (The light blue example is something that works as expected, it’s from the project that I took to study, and the dark blue is mine, and it doesn’t work, even though I tried to replicate the setup, but if it’s not working it’s because I’m missing something, but I don’t know what. It just overlaps the other item) Can someone explain to me how to do this?

Does Figma work like this on all sites? Is it not working on Eduplan or am I using it incorrectly? If anyone has a solution to this problem, please let me know. Thank you.

i have a icon i used in badge i made icon atom for the icon for easy instance swapping and other things as well so this atom is 24*24 but i need in 12*12 as soon as i make instance of badge it gets scaled on it own

Hi everyone,I have not used Figma in quite some times, and I am becoming so mad for something that is so basic… I just need help with that because I am obviously missing something here. I just want to have a component constiting of a simple button, with only a label in it. No icon, no variants with different sizes. I want this button to be resized automatically with the lentgh of the label, but from the center, NOT from left to right. And that is where I am lost.Here is what I do right now:I create my text I add an auto layout This creates a frame to which I add a fill I set my text to “Align center” I set my auto layout to “Align center” Everything is set to “Hug Content”How can I set it to be resized from the center, and not from left to right? The only workaround I have in mind, is to put this Button (text + auto layout frame) into another bigger frame, set to “center align” as well. But this seems so unnecessary, and as soon as I set this new frame to “Hug content” this goes back t

Hey, now that Figma Sites is available to use; I wanted to know if there are any plugins or tools or methods to fetch live external data through APIs into Figma designs?Or atleast I want two way sync between any database and figma. The database can be any tool like Notion, Google Sheets, Airtable. The data should sync from both ways. 

Smooth out hand-drawn curves to make a clear result. I know we can remove anchor point with ⇧⌫ but it’s too slow. What's equivalent of "Smooth Tool" in Illustrator?   

I’m on a tight budget, so I can only use the free plan. Can I still share a link to my prototype for people to only view it on the free plan? I only need people to use the prototype to see how my project works. I didn’t see on the free plan account about sharing prototypes because the website that leads to the plan information is not working properly.

Hello, I’m trying to prototype a certain button and it’s not working well. Could anyone help me?So for example, if I click 2, the 2 button gets the outline (the one 1 has now) and the 1 button should remove it. (I’m sorry for my English 😅) and vica versa. Could you please tell me how to do this prototype. The first part (2 getting an outline) was easy, but I don’t knowhow to do the second part (1 removing the outline when I click 2).

 I created this tooltip box (union of a rectangle and triangle). It’s set so that the text width adjusts according to the width of the tooltip box. I also want the size of the box to be adjustable, but am coming across 2 issues:Box height isn’t changing to accommodate the text line number increasing Triangle pointer doesn’t maintain same width I’m not sure what settings are needed to fix this. This is what I have currently:Autolayout of whole component. The text itself is set to fill/hug.

Hi! I’d like to have an information about The Figma education plan.I got it few weeks ago , and I think in the formular, there was a question about when I was gonna be gratuated.I put october 2025, cause was the planned date at the beginning, but I postponed my exam, and probably not gonna finish my school before middle of 2026, or end of 2026. How does it work in this case please? Hi! I’m working on a prototype in Figma and could really use some help with two things:1. Clickable avatars with visible selection stateI’ve set up a screen where users can choose an avatar, and that choice correctly shows up later on the profile screen — so that part works!The problem: I want to visually indicate which avatar was selected (like showing a border around the chosen one, or lowering the opacity of the others). But the component already uses a variable to define which avatar is shown on the profile, so I can't figure out how to also show a visual selection state in the avatar grid at the same time.2. Showing typed name on profileI have a text input field where users can enter their name. When you type and press Enter, the name gets stored — that part works.But I don’t know how to show that input value under the profile photo on the profile page.I’m not sure which layer to bind to the variable, or how to display the entered name properly.Here’s my file if you want to check

Hey guys, Is there a way to switch back to the old Figma UI? The new one doesn’t do it for me. I’m sure there are people who like it, but personally, I prefer the previous Figma look and structure. I really dislike the current look and feel of the new UI, not to mention its structture, the previous version was a lot more organized and a lot cleaner and more intuitive. Thanks, Chris

I received this alert for the first time today since working in Slides. It will no longer allow me to publish templates with components included on my slides. See the screenshot of the error. I don’t know if this is a glitch, but yikes! This is not good. Is anyone else having this error?   

Hello everyone , i have problem with my text - when i transfer text it breaks off at the word level , what i should to do ?

I am trying to export an artboard with a video and I don't see the 'Export as Video' option. I have placed a video on the artboard and enabled the 'Playing' setting in the Prototype tab. Could you please advise on how to export this as a video file?
