When Variables was released I created some collections for testing. Since then I settled on a final version but the old deleted collections still appear in the page/layer selection on the right panel. The same is happening to deleted modes.

Hi All!Am using Figma desktop for Mac version 124.7.4.  I have a rather large file with tons of named frames that I’ve been iterating on for quite a while.  When I try to create a simple Navigate To interaction, the list of frames for selection is long and unsorted.  It’s getting impossible to find my desired target in that list and I cannot easily just drag a noodle as the canvas is vast.Is there a way to re-sort that list (alphabetically in ascending order would be great!) or at least search by frame name?  Or is this a feature request and not a bug?Here is a fraction of the frame list for selection with a “Navigate to” interaction”.  In it, you can see that the list is not alphabetically sorted. 

I was wondering if there will be more people in the community that might be interested in having the ability to utilise the design that gets generated by Figma Make and converts it to a full Figma design? 

Hello, I recently created several components using existing dimension variables in my file. Now, I would like to reorganize my dimension variables and replace those applied in my components with new variables.Is there a plugin or method that allows me to replace “variable-1” with “variable-2,” for example, in batches and across multiple pages?If you know of a way to do this, please let me know, as it would save me a lot of time ! 😅

Hi all.Could please somebody to explain to me, how to expose properties from a nested components? So I’ve created two simple components, basically just text fields: component 1component 2 Now I group them and create a component from that group. The I expose properties from nested components:   I can see the `Nested instances` now lists the components. But where their properties? `Properties` is still empty...

Hey lovely peeps! Could someone enlighten me why section nodes are missing the strokes and strokeStyleId properties? I clearly can add a stroke to a section via UI. But the api seems to hide strokes for all nodes of type SECTION. I also checked the documentation but couldn’t find anything alike. Am I missing here something? Will this be added to the api in the near future? Cheers 👋

Hi all,As shown in the attached image, I'd like to rename the text boxes in the template so that, when I create a spreadsheet to merge data, the column headers match contextually.For example, instead of generic names like "Text 2" or "Text 3", I’d prefer to rename them to something more meaningful—such as “Name” and “Job Role”.Could anyone advise on the best way to do this?Thanks!

Google doesn’t want to properly index my Figma Sites site and I was wondering - is there a way to add a sitemap in plain text/html as there is no CMS yet? It’s been two weeks since I’ve published our company’s new website and it’s still indexing the old site that was hosted on the same URL. I’ve sent requests to Google but it’s still not working properly.

Hello,When using the text tool, I'm unable to get text to manually hard return, or skip to next line when hitting enter. I have text with hard returns in document that I previously created on both Windows and Apple computers, but even those blocks of text will not hard return when the cursor is placed inside when using browser on fairly new Samsung Android tablet. Text returns work in other applications (google docs, notes, web forms, etc) Any suggestions?

The system sent me an annual invoice, but our team has frequent personnel changes, so an annual billing plan is not suitable for us. Also, we don’t need 12 design seats. I would like to switch to a monthly billing plan, but I couldn’t find a way to do this on my own, so I contacted customer support via email. However, I still haven’t received any help or resolution so far. 

Trying to walk through setting up something using Gemini but it ends up stuck on this ‘auto layout’ business.I need to create a section in figma then nest a frame inside that section, in which to place content.the section does not have this auto layout attribute.does the frame within this section:need to be sized to fit the width and height of the section? need to have layout settings placed upon it in order to automatically fill the width of the parent section? need padding set on it?please do not simply link to other content.any assistance specific to this question will be greatly appreciated.

The get_code just gets stuck on this even if I select the smallest of frames. I am using a local proxy setting so is it because of that and if yes, how can I configure it figma to detect the proxy and get this working?

I believe it's connected to a team I was part of or created while on the Education plan. I’m new to Figma Make and I just generated a screen using it.I’d like to continue editing that screen in my usual Figma workspace (not inside Make), but I’m not sure how to bring it into my main file.Is there a standard way to transfer or import Make-generated designs into regular Figma files?Thanks in advance for your help!

I am trying to use the plugin ‘Magician’ in Figma, but when I do, it asks for an access code. However, when I click ‘Start Free Trial,’ it just loops back to Figma. What am I missing?

If I use “ctrl + c” to copy a file from my computer, then select the layer in Figma I want to update and use “ctrl +v” to paste/replace it. The layer will inherit the name of the file on the desktop. So if it’s “IMG_ASD123” the Figma layer changes to be named this instead of what it was labeled in Figma. Is this a recent update? It never used to happen? It’s a bit frustrating as I used to name my layers “Asset (3:4)” or whatnot to indicate to dev what the ratio of the asset was but now I need to keep renaming it everytime I copy/paste a new assets onto the layer. Is there a way to disable this at all? Thanks in advance! 🙂

My Figma app updated and the new layers UI has become unusable for me. I rely heavily on the previous layer icons to know what is a frame vs a group vs autolayout vs a component. The images in the layers panel is not useful to me. Is there a way to restore the old icons in the layers panel?

Hi,I’ve placed a component with a variant (an expanded dropdown on click) within another component (a form). When I place an instance of my ‘form’ component into a frame the dropdown variant doesn't prototype correctly, it appears all squashed/distorted. Does anyone know why a component would stop working once it’s nested within another component? Thank you

Hi! Today I opened Figma and the Design file disappeared from the Team project. I didn't delete it and it's not in the trash either. Definitely not 30 days have passed, because a couple of days ago I sent a link to another person to view. At the same time, other design files remained in the team project. Maybe someone has had the same thing happen recently and managed to solve it somehow?

First of all, kudos to the Figma team for Sites, it’s an amazing product even in beta. I've been looking forward to Figma making this happen, an easy way to publish a website directly.I’ve been moving our website from Framer to Figma hoping to switch, however I encountered one issue: I have text styles with breakpoints for desktop, tablet and mobile. Everything looks good in the preview, however when I publish the site, styles use the values for the mobile breakpoints even on the desktop.Interestingly enough, if I resize the browser window to a smaller size and then back again, it works. So it looks like the first view is the one with the issue.At some point, I think it was working properly, but now this issue is back again. I can’t seem to see any correlations with anything else I’m doing.Anyone else experiencing something similar?Thank you,Panos
