Animation Menu for landing page

Hi,  I created a menu like component, i created variants and link this , it is for a landing page, like top bar. This works when you don't link another animation like scroll .I want this menu to change when I push the name section of the page and scroll to the section page,  for example  when clicking in “Nosotros” scroll to nosotros section and is put in bold “Nosotros” at menu.thanks in advance, sorry I am not native English speaker, but try my best.

Figma Make prototype - sub page URL?

I want to use the plug in html.to.design (or another method) to convert things that I have created in Figma Make to Figma Design. When I publish the site, I get a url. When I surf to sub pages (links within my prototype) the url does not change so I can only get the first page ‘converted’. Is there a way that I can see individual URLs of sub pages?

SVG files are importing at incorrect size

Hello!  I am exporting Illustrator files as svgs (90x90 px with 5 point stroke weight). When I import these into Figma,  they always import a lot smaller (9x9 px and 0.5 point stroke weight) therefore having to resize each every time. Any ideas why my svgs are always coming in at the wrong size in Figma compared to the svgs exported from Illustrator? Many thanks!James

When exporting frame and export layer in figma, fonts and graphics in the exported image have stroke lines

I am a user in Chinese Mainland, and my computer system is Windows11. Now I have a bad problem. When exporting frame and export layer in figma, fonts and graphics in the exported image have stroke lines, as shown in the figure. This problem has been bothering me for a long time, and I am eager to know how to solve it.

I want to be a UI designer by 2026

Hi! I'm Gee and I want to be UI designer by 2026. I just found myself drawn to it this week and my heart was beating fast at the thought of being one, the only problem is I don't know how to begin. I watched tutorial for figma and I finished it. Do you have any recommendations on how to be one? I'd be really glad if you could provide me resources. Thank you so much for reading up until this point. I really appreciate any insights that you might have.P.S I don't have graphic design or background related to UI.

Unable to Horizontally Scroll

I have a frame that I named “Store Map (Desktop - User Journey)”. Below is a link to my work. I’m having trouble dragging the bottom, blue progress indicator to make it scroll horizontally. Any ideas why that is? Please see the screenshot at the very bottom below.

How to design the project generated by Figma Make AI?

Hi all, Question 1:I’m recently working on a project using Figma Make AI which helps me a lot. I was wondering if I can somehow transfer the project that generated by Figma Make to Figma Design, so I can keep polishing the project even after I used all AI Credits for Figma Make. Question 2: I was watching Youtube tutorial on creating app on Figma Design using First Draft but unfortunately I do not have that option from my end. How can I apply for that function? Thanks!

Why there are different profile pictures on my profiles

I’m logging with same e-mail address. I have different pp on https://help.figma.com/ and have different one on https://forum.figma.com/ . When I try to change on help.figma.com it says “The name, profile photo, phone, and email are set automatically. You can't change them here.” I’m not logging with google etc

Help with Image compression in Child Frames?

Hi there. To create my prototype, I am cutting and pasting a lot of images into my Frames. Currently on one of my Parent Frames, I created a child Frame to import an image. I was finally able to get all the content in however, there is a big gap to the left - please see attached. I would like all content to be preserved and just expand the width. Does anyone have an idea of what I can do? I will be doing a lot of cutting and pasting into frames. So If someone has a clean step by step process of how I can easily insert an image, keep all contents and expand it to the parents length that would be amazing. I am all ears. I spent a full day trying to solve this problem, which is probably a simple fix :) Many Thanks, Susanne

responsive webpage without autolayout

i designed a web page without auto layout because i need to apply parallax effects. when i hand off the project to developer. everything works well except the responsiveness. sometimes it shows every objects in a right place in some screens, but in some different screens the objects and layout deformed and do not behave well. i also apply right constraints to each objects and frames but it doesn’t work. anyone can help me with that? here's a stage link: https://stage.creatorsclass.co/fa/about

Can I run downloaded projects from Figma Make locally?

Download code buttonI spotted the "Download Code" option in the upper right corner of the editor, but I noticed that there is no "package.json" file. Is there any documentation or a way to run these projects locally using my own IDE?

Responsive variables do not apply to components outside library

Issue:Components created with responsive variables in a shared library do not adapt when used in a separate design file.Steps to reproduce: Create components in the library using responsive variables. Insert those components into a separate design file. Switch the containing frame between mobile and desktop sizes. anyone designed UI for gaming tools in figma?

I’ve been experimenting with UI ideas for gaming tools and a friend showed me a custom Roblox launcher they told me to check it out. It made me realize how tricky it is to keep the design clean while still giving users the customization they expect. Has anyone here tried building similar flows in Figma? Any tips on keeping things simple but functional?

Can you update a number variable based on number shown in text box?

I’m trying to build a prototype where a number will change based on some randomization. The idea is I have my Total number variable, and my Modifier number variable which are added together to update the Total. I’d love for the Modifier number variable to pull randomly from a list. It seems the best way to do this is to use a randomizer plugin that updates a text field from a list, but then I can’t figure out how to get the Modifier variable in my variable settings to use that number. Also open to totally different ways to solve / try this if it gets to the same result of having a base value that can be randomized within certain parameters. Thanks so much!

Vector graphics - How to regularize sizing and spacing with highly variant objects?

Hi all, I am creating a symbol language with vector graphics of various irregular shapes, set into diamond-shaped frames.   Question 1: What is the best way to regularize the sizing of these graphics? As you can see, I can’t really set a regular height or width, as the shapes take all different forms, and some are wider while others are taller. What you see above is eyeballed, but as I’m aiming to get these printed (like a deck) I really want to do best practices here and figure out a more accurate method. Question 2: Once that question is answered, the question of spacing comes up. Promise-based messaging between plugin and ui

Does anyone know of a way to do promise-based messaging between the plugin and the UI? (@Gleb 🙂) Using the globals: parent.postMessage(...) → figma.ui.onmessage → figma.ui.postMessage(...) → window.onmessage can lead to spaghetti code… promises would be so much cleaner. Really only the UI → Plugin direction would be fine, e.g.: someCoolMessaging.post(type: 'get-some-data', payload: { id: 5 }).then(data => { console.log('got some data', data) }) .catch((error) => { console.log('error getting data from plugin') })

Interactions > scroll to not working?

I'm pretty new to Figma and this is my first time creating a prototype. I have my nav bar fixed to the bottom and I'm having issues creating scroll-to interactions for my menu when it's expanded. I have a components frame where I added variants for my bottom nav: default and its expanded state. I dragged the bottom nav component to my home page frame and was able to add some navigate-to interactions without issue. But when I try adding a scroll-to interaction (so when the user clicks Contact, it scrolls down to that section of the page), nothing happens. I suspect it's likely due to the nav bar being fixed, but I really don't know any way around this. My nav bar needs to be fixed, so I'm hoping someone might have some suggestions?

Left-leaning phenomenon when switching to variants with different lengths

I tried centering the transform origin and applying a new frame, but the same issue persists ;(The strange thing is that the small button moves to the left even though the coordinates are the same.Even though the constraints are set to the center.My AI says this issue occurs because Figma aligns elements to the top left.How can I fix this?

How to get children of a locked SectionNode?

Hello everyone,I'm developing a FigJam plugin and have encountered an issue when trying to access the children of a SectionNode. The behavior seems to depend on the section's lock state, and I'd like to understand if there's a way to get the children even when the section is locked.I've tested the following scenarios using the code snippet below:1. Section not locked: I can successfully get the children.2. Lock background only: I cannot get the children. The node.children property returns an empty array.3. Children placed on the section and then the section is locked (Lock all): I can successfully get the children.4. Section locked  (Lock all) and then children are placed on it: I cannot get the children.I'm specifically looking for a way to get the children in scenarios 2 and 4. Is there a specific API or method to achieve this? Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
