Figma stopped suggesting me to create a style by default, now it always suggests to create a variable and I always have to switch. How can I switch it back to suggesting to create a style by default?

Can I switch to a different bootcamp for the student plan if the original one didn't meet Figma's requirements?

I want to use a pen tablet in Figma Design. It basically works out of the box. The `Pencil` tool supports pen pressure, but how can I disable this?I want always to draw with a fixed width (like when I use a mouse). For example, in Photoshop, we can easily disable pen pressure from brush settings. 

Hello Figma Community,  I am trying to re-verify my Education plan before it expires.  When I upload my student documentation, I get the following error:  “Your last name is missing from the documentation submitted.”  However, my document clearly shows my full legal name (First + Last) along with my institution details.  I also updated my Figma profile name to exactly match the document, but the system still rejects it.  Steps I’ve tried so far:  1. Uploaded student ID card (clear scan, PDF format).  2. Updated my Figma profile to match my full name.  3. Retried multiple times, but same error appears.  I believe this is an issue with the automated verification system.  Could a moderator or Figma staff member please review my case manually?  I’ve attached a screenshot of the error message and my documentation.  Thank you for your help!

Hey everyone ,I’ve been experimenting with Figma for my website design workflow and trying out AI-based integrations/plugins to speed things up. Recently, I’ve been running into errors where the plugin either doesn’t load properly or breaks the design sync with my project.  Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, how did you fix it? Can Figma Make use the custom fonts available to my organization and team?

I work at a company and someone on my team deleted my files. I tried checking the trash but couldn't find it, and no one on my team made a backup. I contacted support and created multiple tickets in every way possible just to get my files back. All my tickets are tagged "resolved" but no resolution or contact has been made. Hey Folks,  i have a responsive Design Problem according a Component in my Design. Its the Teamslider at the very end of this onepager. I just started using Figma Make yesterday to create a user journey map. It’s awesome how it pads it out with realistic data. I shared the link with a few people yesterday. Some could see the preview, some could not. Today, whilst working on the file, I went to code view, then back to preview, and all I see is a blank page. I’ve refreshed the preview, reloaded the tab, duplicated the file, restarted Figma, restarted my laptop, and cleared my cache. Nothing works. I’ve even started again in a new file, with a new prompt, and still no preview. What else can I try?

Hi everyone,I’ve started working with Figma Slides, and I noticed the default slide size is always in a 16:9 ratio. For my current project, I need the slides to be in A4 format (portrait or landscape) because the presentation will be displayed in A4 size, not in widescreen.Is there a way to change the slide size in Figma Slides to match A4 dimensions directly? Or do I have to design in a regular Figma Design file with A4 frames and then present from there?I’d appreciate any tips or workarounds to keep the workflow inside Figma Slides while using the A4 format.Thanks in advance!

Even though the max value is not set in the H container size of the text in the auto layout state, it is not hug more than a specific size. I can hug up to 3 lines, but I can't hug from 4 lines.The top layers are all hug too so why is this?

The goal is to register user clicks and analyze data from the Figma prototype.My process involves traversing all possible nodes to identify those with navigation actions.I'm running into a significant issue with large Figma files containing hundreds of thousands of nodes. When I try to process these files, I frequently hit the API rate limit and receive a 429 "Too Many Requests" error.I've already tried a few things: I switched from fetching the entire file at once to fetching nodes individually. This helped with smaller files, but the 429 error still occurs with complex designs. I've checked the Figma API documentation and am aware of the rate limits, but the volume of my requests doesn't seem to exceed the typical per-minute limit. This suggests the issue might be related to the sheer size or complexity of the file itself, rather than just the number o

I’ll be leaving my organization soon. Before I leave, I want to make sure that everyone in my Figma org can continue working off of files that I own. I’m not an admin either. I also want to make sure that current viewers of my files who do not hold Figma seats can also retain access to my files. How do I do this? Would it be as simple as moving all my files into a new Project shared by the rest of the team? Thank you.

Currently, the only way to hide components from publishing is to individually right-click each one at a time from within the assets navigator. When this needs to be done for a large number of components, it is extremely tedious.It would be ideal to allow multiple components to be selected at once in the assets navigator such that right clicking the selection allows for the set of components to be hidden from publishing (or shown when publishing, if already hidden).

I have tried to reverify for education plan in Figma. Figma had asked me to submit my Passport or other identifications. After Some attempts, I came to know that they have blocked me for further submission. Need a solution on it.]

How, with a short cut key can I see all the short cuts? In the UI it is specified as Ctrl+Shift+? but that only works on US International keyboards. It would be ok-ish that it doesn't but in that case it should not say so in at least two locations in the UI.
