Built a plugin to help understand complex Auto Layouts—looking for feedback Hi everyone! As a frontend developer, I often found myself spending a lot of time trying to understand how large Figma layouts were structured before I could start implementing them. Existing tools provide the properties, but I wanted a way to quickly understand the relationships between containers, spacing, and sizing. So I built VizDeez. Instead of focusing on code generation, it visualizes the layout structure. You can: - See a visual map of a selected frame and its immediate children.- Hover to understand gaps, padding, and sizing with interactive animations.- Drill down into nested containers.- Inspect layers and copy CSS/Tailwind snippets when needed. I'd really appreciate feedback from designers and developers who work with Auto Layout regularly. - Does the concept make sense?- Is this something you'd find useful in your workflow?- What would make it more valuable? You can check it out here: https://www.
Hey, thank you for answering. Actually I came across a video where a person was showcasing a video animation on top of gradient background, both are moving independently, I know we can do that in AE but still I was wondering if we can do in this in figma motion. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZ26Yq5CtAM/Thank you.
I have had multiple Figma accounts from multiple workplaces. I’ve made a personal free one and made the Profile connections within Figma. Can somebody help me get my original user handle here? It seems weird that they’re not just the same as within the Figma settings
As AI becomes part of everyday design workflows, more designers are exploring the benefits of running AI models directly on their own devices instead of relying entirely on cloud services. Some of the advantages include:Better privacy when working with client files and confidential design assets Offline access for uninterrupted workflows while traveling or without internet Faster responses by eliminating network latency Lower long-term costs by reducing recurring AI API usage Greater control over AI models, updates, and local knowledge basesWith modern Apple Silicon Macs and increasingly capable Windows hardware, running AI locally is becoming practical for tasks such as writing UI copy, summarizing documents, brainstorming ideas, generating images, and analyzing design documentation.I'm curious how the Figma community is approaching this shift. Are you using local AI alongside Figma? Which on-device AI tools have worked well for your workflow? Do privacy and offline capabilities influen
Hi everyone,I'm a UI/UX designer working at Dev Technosys, and our product team is currently redesigning an enterprise fleet management platform. During a recent usability review combined with an internal security assessment, we discovered that some interface decisions could unintentionally contribute to security risks and operational mistakes.Although the backend authorization is functioning correctly, we're exploring how better UX patterns can reduce human error before sensitive fleet actions are even initiated.Current ScenarioThe application supports:Real-time GPS tracking Fleet monitoring dashboard Driver management Vehicle maintenance scheduling Fuel consumption reports Route optimization Geofencing Vehicle assignment Emergency alerts Administrative control panelThe challenge isn't a software bug—it's how users interact with complex administrative workflows.UI/UX Security ConcernSome administrative users can perform actions such as the following:Reassign vehicles Disable geofences
Hi Figma Support Team, We had a few files that were permanently deleted. I am reaching out because we are hoping there is a chance to restore them. They were deleted just last week so we are hoping for some luck, and if there’s a way to escalate this issue as it is urgent :(I’ve already submitted a Support Ticket here via Support Chat:https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/2000121 Here are the details:Date & Time When File Was Deleted:- July 1, 2026, 7pm PT File URLs:https://www.figma.com/design/Ka4SNbfUkcMkPL9yg2vNR4/Amazon-Now---Oct-2025?node-id=372-3&t=jYoFEKlJmoidD6sb-1&desktop-link-click-timestamp=1783362830989&desktop-ul-exp-bucket=pohttps://www.figma.com/design/B4K8GZwPAnhwGV7EqX6M2V/Amazon-Driver-and-Road-Safety---Brazil?node-id=3053-155&t=LgqA0c02Sn119qyH-1&desktop-link-click-timestamp=1783362961265&desktop-ul-exp-bucket=pohttps://www.figma.com/design/1U6Qj9Nxs0L5zy5vtFzFZq/AMZ-De-escalation-videos---Sept-2025?node-id=7090-144444&t=yxJWRB0Jc5Q9
I am looking ot buy more than 15,000 because I have already reached that. The next step is contacting sales but they are not responding to me. Is 15,000 the limit and they are just ignoring my request?
Similar issue: When using “Present” mode the interactions aren’t displaying correctly. A simple list of expanding/collapsing containers fails to open any of the containers except 1, despite tapping on other containers. This isn’t happening in Mirror or in “Preview” mode.
Hi Figma support team, I mistakenly added an extra Developer seat to their Figma plan, and it is now appearing on our upcoming July 15 invoice. The seat is currently unassigned, and I would appreciate your assistance in removing it so that it is not included in the invoice.
I can’t figure out how to change the layout of an existing slide in Figma Slides. When creating a new slide, I can choose a layout from the theme, but once the slide is added, I can’t find a way to switch it to a different layout.Am I missing something? Often, I realize later that a different layout would work better and want to apply one of the theme’s template layouts to an existing slide—but I don’t see an option to do that. The only option I can find is “Template Style,” which seems to change only text styles and colors, not the layout itself. Is there a way to reapply or change slide layouts after a slide has been created?
Does anyone know if its possible to disable the ability to purchase additional AI credits at the organization level? I understand you can disable a users ability to use pay-as-you-go credits (this has been disabled for all our sues), I am needing to stop the ability of an admin purchasing additional credits in the first place to satisfy a control. Use case being admins in Figma are SME’s but not the internal contract managers, we do not want a scenario where the CM is liable to cover costs for credits which were ordered outside internal approvals, triggered by the SME admins. Hopefully that makes sense? I just want to turn off purchasing credits - our people can use the monthly allocation and that’s it til the month rolls over.
We're connecting Figma's official remote MCP server to AWS Bedrock AgentCore Gateway for an internal enterprise AI workflow used by our design and development teams. We can discover the MCP/OAuth metadata correctly, but the connection is blocked at authorization. Our use case is not a public MCP client or IDE plugin. It's a secured internal gateway that already handles user authentication (<Auth0 / your IdP>) and routes to <Jira, GitHub, Figma, ...> tools. We use AgentCore Gateway specifically for security: it enforces fine-grained, per-tool access control over which MCP tools each user can invoke, centralizes outbound OAuth credential handling, and audits every tool call through a single controlled egress point. Connecting IDEs directly to Figma would bypass these controls, which our security policy doesn't allow.

Hi everyone,I'm currently struggling to get a response from Figma support regarding an annual renewal charge of $192 USD that hit my card two days ago.To be honest, I'm feeling pretty stuck. My team was disbanded last year and I've already left the company. Since I no longer have access to the old group email that was linked to the account, I completely missed the renewal notification. It was quite a shock to see the charge on my statement when I'm not even using the service anymore.I've already downgraded the workspace to the Starter plan as soon as I saw the charge, but I really need help getting this reversed. I submitted a ticket two days ago, but haven't heard back yet.Has anyone here been in a similar situation? If a Figma staff member or moderator happens to see this, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could check on my ticket and help me escalate this. I’m really worried about the timeline for the refund, and any guidance would be a huge help. Thanks for your time.
I am not able to publish plugin after I changed my email. I’ve emailed to the given email address 7 days ago but didn’t receive any reply.
I am pushing updates from my design system and when updating the instances in external files I am not seeing changes. For context, I had some cards with an outline in my design system, I have now removed these outlines and updated various times in the other file and still I am not seeing the outlines disappear. I have even tried the ‘repair component connections’ command I have seen in other posts and that has not worked, even though it said it repaired various connections. After pushing another update after this was done the outlines are still on the cards. What is the point in the design system if I can’t make changes at the source? Now I have to remove the outlines from each individual card in my other file, this is very frustrating.
I have been trying to contact support for a few months now. Our school requires a GDPR form to be completed to enable the students in our school to use the software. How do I get this completed?
Buenas a Tod@s, no me deja escribir en ningúna de las funciones . Alguien tiene una ligera idea?
Hello,For my master thesis, I am conducting a survey in which participants interact with a prototype on their phones.I created a prototype link in Figma Make that opens directly in fullscreen mode. When participants open the link on a phone, they only see the prototype, which is exactly what I want. Or at least it looks like that it is just opening this. However, when the same link is opened on a laptop, users can switch to the Make Editor, which gives them access to the entire conversation behind the prototype. Is there a way to prevent this and ensure that the shared link only allows users to view and interact with the prototype, without being able to access the Make Editor or the underlying conversation?Thank you in advance for your help!
I spend a lot of time switching between Figma, documentation, emails, product copy, and brainstorming sessions throughout the day. While browser-based AI tools are useful, constantly changing tabs interrupts the design workflow.I'm curious how other Mac designers and product teams approach AI-assisted writing during the design process. Some questions I'd love to discuss: Do you prefer AI tools that run as native macOS apps or browser apps? How important is offline access when working with sensitive product information? Would you use local AI models for drafting UX copy, design documentation, or brainstorming? Which features save you the most time: rewriting, summarizing, translation, grammar improvements, or content generation? How important is Apple Silicon optimization for performance and battery life? I'm interested in learning how other designers integrate AI into their daily workflow without disrupting their design process. Looking forward to hearing your experiences and re
Hello! About a month ago, the Montserrat font's weights disappeared, leaving only Regular and Bold. Could you tell me how to get the rest back?
Is there any supported way for a Dev Mode plugin (editorType "dev") to readFigma Motion data — figma.motion, node.animations, node.manualKeyframeTracks,node.timelines?In my testing these are available only in the design editor (editorType"figma") and are completely absent in Dev Mode — in both codegen and inspectmodes. I'd love to confirm whether this is intended, and whether Dev Mode readaccess is on the roadmap.Environment: Plugin API "api" 1.0.0, @figma/plugin-typings 1.130.0 (latest),Figma desktop app, 2026-06-29. (figma.motion availability is decided by the appruntime, not the typings package — I compiled against the latest types.)What I observe (same plugin, same file, same selected nodes):- Design editor (editorType "figma", mode "default"): figma.motion = present; node.animations / manualKeyframeTracks = returns real keyframe data.- Dev Mode (editorType "dev", mode "codegen"): figma.motion = undefined; node.animations / manualKeyframeTracks = absent (access throws).- Dev M
Hi, I want to use Figma canvas with Antigravity for design work, similar to how Claude Code uses the Figma MCP server. I saw this announcement: https://www.figma.com/blog/the-figma-canvas-is-now-open-to-agents/?ref=producthunt. Can you confirm whether Antigravity is supported, and if so, what setup steps or requirements apply?
Hi everyone,I purchased Figma Professional yesterday (around 10:00 PM IST) mainly to use Figma Make for building my startup MVP.I received 3,000 AI credits, but they were exhausted within a few hours. A large part of the usage came from multiple iterations because Figma Make often generated screens or flows that were different from what I intended, so I had to retry and refine several times.I genuinely wasn't expecting the credits to run out this quickly during a normal design workflow. As a result, I couldn't even complete my project after purchasing the subscription just one day ago.I have a few questions for the community:Has anyone else experienced AI credits being consumed much faster than expected? Is there any way to optimize credit usage? Has anyone received a refund or a one-time credit restoration in a similar situation?Since this purchase was made only yesterday, I would really appreciate it if the Figma team could review my case and consider a one-time refund or restoration
My Figma was automatically updated to the new UI, and I can no longer find the Create/Apply Variables option under Appearance. I'm trying to create a component within another component, but I'm not sure where this feature has been moved in the new interface. Please helpp!
